Brainbox Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Yeah, I was thinking of that too. Does that mean that the other cars there could be future possibilities? You could MOD the Aston Martin into the 'Bondmobile'. Actually, do I remember a vote or something as to which car would be made 'official' or am I just making that up? Quote

You are right: our former LEGO ambassador asked (october 2006) our spanish community about what car we wanted to see built into LEGO. The question was suggested by LEGO itself, of course. There were some restrictions: - the car should be for display, which means with only few functions - the car should get a body build with System bricks - the car should be very iconic/well know in Europe and US - the car should be from the past 30 years So we voted, the winner was Beetle... and here it is ^^ Edited August 29, 2007 by julencin2000 Quote
Wout Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Very nice news, although I hope they will also made new little town sets for every shop. Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Thanks to HJR for pointing this out. Type in the following set numbers in to LEGO's replacement parts page (select your age first) and you get the following sets:http://www1.lego.com/eng/service/replaceme...rts.asp#content 10184 Town Plan 10185 Green Grocer 10186 General Grievous 10187 Volkswagen Beetle 10188 SW Death Star 10189 Taj Mahal 8- Quote
mutley777 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 As a star wars fan the news of the death star sounds fantastic!! For so long fans have asked for a death star playset, so i hope that is what this is. As for the general grevious i hope it is a full figure statue type thing like the one of vader that was shown at a toy fair with the death star 2 (sorry tried to find the pic but no luck :-( ). Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I hope that the Town Plan (What should this be? The name doesn't tell me anything.) and the Green Grocer will not be Modular sets. That would be really bad because I don't like Caf Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 A SW Death Star in minifig scale would be so great - I have dreamed lots of years getting something like this!I only hope that it'll come with Imperial Navy Troopers and some new Imperial Officers (in black and light grey suits)! That would be brilliant! You can bet there will be that great fig Death Star Troopers (aka Navy TRoopers) and one of the rooms wiill be a cell bloke with Leia and that round medical droid and off course a glorious Trash Compactor hehe And off course a imperial command center. I forsee Vader, Luke, Han, Leia, DS Troopers (at least 2), 2 imperial officers and a new high ranked officer !! and a medical droid and a mouse droid. Lets hope I'm correct :-P DS On !! That is the set that I really want to know more asap !! *yoda* Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Yoda, it's not a Medical droid, it's an Interrogation droid, numbered IT-O. Plus, a Minifig scale DS would be absolutely insane. I can't even see how they could manage such a mammoth project. But nonetheless, I hope for Death Star Troopers! AND the Death Star Planning room! Lots of Imp Officers ON! Quote
Freddie Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Actually, forgot to ask, why do we think these are 2008? Surely LEGO must have something up their sleeve for the 2007 holiday season... I thought the same of this. LEGO wouldn't be uploading (and later removing) exclusives in the middle of a year just to have them released next year. I'm crossing my fingers, but not getting my hopes up, that these sets will be shown within maybe two months (Remember how it went down with 10173?). I'm also thinking that town plan just might be the "small shops" set we've always wanted, altough the large amount of car-related bricks suggest otherwise. And a ntoher modular building. *sweet* Pity I'm running out of space after I pick up Market Street on monday. |-/ Quote
CopMike Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Late in - only to go *wub* *wub* *wub* and >:-( (that was the wallet speaking!). All of you that did manage to see the other sets partslist - you must have those pictures in your computers cache memory. Please start digging & posting :'-)!!!!! Cache On copmike Quote

So unless you own the pentagon, I kinda doubt your "house" will be able to fit a MF DS. :-P Remember that the DS is a mini sun. even if shrinking down to MF scale, it is still quite large. Hehe, before being smartass with the reply might want to rethink your own. ;-) Quote

I screw up with Vader about the Complete Saga and Wookiepedia and here I'm just stupider. :-D Anyway, a lack of a minifig scale Death Star notwithstanding, who think there will be a mini-model to come with it? I doubt there'll be another SSD, but maybe an ISD, or a VSD? Quote
