If a DS set is released in a modular style (like the cloud city) then i would expect it it be made up from 3 sections, my guess would be a obi wan vs vader duel, prision section and trash compactor.

If lego do something like this then i hope its bigger than the cloud city, hopefully it will have new and more figs.

I think a few modular Endor playsets would go out well among the general crowd. Besides, more new figures make people want to buy the sets more, which is what Lego has been doing of late. All Lego has to do is make some of the figures which they made for LSW2. It'd be perfect for them.

Yep, DS has the best potential. Plus it's a good excuse to issue another expensive set with Tarkin, and we know LEGO loves doing that.

You know, I have a new basic philosophy concerning SW sets. They're going to suck. BUT if we can get good figures out of them, we can build the rest. All I care about now are figures.

I used to have a similar theory, but it included printed pieces. Since we keep losing them to stickers, now it's just minifigs.

Oh, and a Geonosis playset that shows DS plans? Nah, won't happen. It's the most boring static scene in the movie and would require too many new figures. No chance. I did see an incredible version of it on Brickshelf once though, involving a whole bunch of brown rowboats. It was surprisingly good.

There have only been two Endor sets in the whole LSW time (Speeder Bikes and Ewok Attack) until now (if you don't count the AT-STs, but they can be used for Tatooine and Hoth, too, so they aren't special Endor sets). Consequently I think - and hope - that TLC will release some Endor sets soon, too.

And what about Tatooine sets?! I'd like to see some Tusken Raiders, more different Sand Troopers (with rucksacks, please!) and a Bantha. Like with the Endor sets there haven't been many Tatooine sets before, too: Landspeeder, Mos Eisley Cantina (I bought it but the Cantina itself was very spartan!), Dessert Skiff, Jabba's Palace-Jabba's Message-Jabba's Prize, Jabba's Sail Barge and Imperial Landing Craft. OK, ok, ok! That aren't few sets - but nevertheless there is much more potential.

And I agree with you that more different minifigs should be produced. It's how you wrote: If there are new minifigs in a new set (or perhaps even only one) people buy the set even if they already have an older set of this type. But they only buy it because of a new, cool minifig.

If I look at myself: THe new 7666 Hoth Rebel Base is well designed but spartanic. I'm very disappointed of it because I expected a bigger set with some rooms, a Tauntaun, a Rebel Commander and Luke in Hoth outfit. But like there is this pretty nice K-3PO minifig, I'll nevertheless buy the set. That's evidence, I'd say!

The Cloud City was well-designed but not that set I would have liked to see(by the way: I didn't buy it because of this case). A new, bigger and more precise Cloud City with these little creatures which run the carbonite machine would be nice. Of course Lando Calrissian and one or two Bespin Guars shouldn't miss. I'd like the big glass cupola (out of plexiglass like in the old Paradisa sets) of the room in which Han and Leia wait before Han is freezed.

An Endor Battle Pck with two Endor Rebel Troopers, a Strom Trooper, a Scout Trooper and a speeder bike would be great.

A black C-3PO in the 10188 Death Star set? - That would be great. I'm really sure that they will include a Grand Moff Tarkin minifig in this set if they - I hope - make the meeting room (where Tarkin meets Vader and all these other high.ranking officers). And I hope so much for Imperial Navy Toopers and new Imperial Officers!

I dont know, the recent sith infiltrator 7663 doesnt seem all that bad and the recent minifig ATST was good. A step up from the first one 7127 IMO atleast.

I think tatooine has been done to death, 16 sets!! And that is just the system sets! :-D 17 if you include the sith infiltrator, 18 if you include both versions X-O

Not gonna happen ;-) Having said that, I am sure we'll have way better in '09 ;-)

We'll have at least 2 BPs !! They always come in duos hehe: a scoutie one with revamped bike (finally !!) and an Endor Rebel one !! OR maybe if the super BP works well, we might have a good guys super BP with rebels, yub yubs andsome war machines hehe !!

But in my opinion I think that one big whole Jabba's Palace (could be designed in the way that you can close it to see how it looks from outside with its tower and its gate - and that you can open it and see the little prison downstairs and Jabba's hall with the frozen Han in carbonite, the band playing and Jabba smoking his bong) would be nicer and more realistic than some little sets to put together to one big. The same I think with Cloud City. Don't you think one big precise set would be better than some little imprecise sets?

I was thinking about that today !! If the DS playset works well, they might do those sets that are without vehicles only SAH exclusives. A way bigger Jabba's Palace and Cantina !! This would include a lot of figs and new ones as well !! Could be interesting !!

On the beeing better question, thats a tough one. I think both solutions do have great points and downsides !! To overall everytrhing, I think that TLC needs to do both in every "theme" they touch: Mos Eisley, Endor...

I'm really excited by these possibilities hehe !! Now its up to us to show TLC what we want hehe !! Lets all buy some DS to encourage them to venture more in that direction :-P

Nothing rather than that! I'm really looking forward to buy the DS. I hope that it will be no UCS set, that it will come with a lot of new minifigs and that it won't cost as much as the Millenium Falson UCS set. Otherwise I won't be able to buy it (regrettably I've got not enough money to buy 550 Euros sets)!

Do you know/Have you seen that the DS will come with a hangar and a TIE fighter or are you only speculating?

If you know/have seen it: Is it Vader's TIE Advanced?

If you are only speculating: I think - if the DS is only a playset and no UCS set - it wouldn't be as big as it's possiblethat it would include a TIE hangar. I think there only will be 3-4 rooms.

I hope the Rebel Scout Speeder come '08 will be on Endor, or maybe with New Republic soldiers! Either way, Lego can't dodge making good Rebel Troopers this time. I think '08 will be the dawn of new molds! I do, however, wonder how different the Death Star can be from the Second Death Star. They'd better add something as a bonus to make it worth it, or it'll seem like old news. And as long as Greivous is articulated, he should be popular.

I really hope the GG will be articulated, and a DS playset would be awesome. Especially if it was modular. I agree with *yoda*, I bet there will be Endor battle packs in 09, then we need an Ep. 2 clone battle pack.
