One phrase in particular resonates in Na'im: 'This isn't our job.' He appears to loose all energy and rubs his spectacles feeling suddenly tired. Hadn't that been his philosophy ever since he left Fenario: leave the fighting to the younger more zealous generation while he stayed at the sidelines, content to quietly take his reward, of gold and surviving through yet another year. Was this the old Na'im, who was willing to fight and argue and draw swords at the slightest insult showing through? This wasn't him. And it had taken Mihnak's words to make him realise that. He would have to do better in the future-the pleasures of life were still too sweet for him to leave behind...not yet. "Very well master Mihnak...perhaps you are right and perhaps you are wrong.
