Na'im turns to the prospector "Now master Van Cleef, you still have not told me who you plan to deliver the nerkastones to if we retrieve them. Not that I do not feel you have Olegias best interests at heart, of course" Na'im says hastily

Na'im sighs and looks out into the darkness for a few moments before turning back to his companion "Do you want to know what happened to your old friend Shadir Oswain master Van Cleef?" Na'im says at last

Na'im accepts the scroll from Germ "My thanks master Germ. Though if I'd had my way, all of Ralli's scrolls would have been in my possession"

"Anyway, these cave crickets, never heard of them. I suppose they aren't dangerous?" Elnath then pats on Germs shoulder, "Good thinking, but I hope we'd avoid as much conflict as possible."

No the "cave crickets" that I am thinking of are not dangerous. The worst that they will do is craw all over you. But, you could just smack them off with your hand. As for the "Nags" we might not have any choice with them.

Na'im accepts the scroll from Germ "My thanks master Germ. Though if I'd had my way, all of Ralli's scrolls would have been in my possession"

If you had your way, you would of taken the whole house. Not that I would blame you I would probably done some thing similar.

Kiray moves over to the were-racoon. "How did you come into the Prospector's service?"

Seeing that Kiray ask him some thing similar that he was going to ask, he decides to eventually find the "Lannisters".

So, do you guys do any thing for yourself or does your "boss" monopoly all of your time?

The Heroes settle in comfortably on The Eyrie,

"Master Elnath, I hate to alarm you but those crows back at the docks squawking up a storm were talking about you. They know you have a Nekrastone. Hopefully nothing comes of it but we should keep that in mind. I don't advise taking it out on occasion unless it's really important, just for the safety of us all."

Elnath pulls his eyebrows together.

18611266988_9220e00d03_o.jpg

"I fear just as much, if not more. There is a difference if these birds were just harping about a bright stone compared to something more specific, like a Nekrastone. I would have imagined the former, otherwise, it does not bode well for us. Did you hear anything about where they are going or did they mention anything specific pertaining to our trip?" says Elnath as he ascends the stairs to his cabin, sounding a little worried towards the end.

Mhinak notices Polly and approaches her with the obvious love-bird look.

"Hello there beautiful, tell me about yourself."

Mhinak finds Polly at bow, starting up a fire on a tripod (-1 unit). The soot from the fire seem to settle on her face and exposed body. She turns around, wiping the soot off her face.

18611258038_0c7bffd9c3_o.jpg

"Mhinak? Your're not the first to say that, but I appreciate that." winking at Mhinak. "The last thing I remembered, I was raised in an orphanage at the Hovels. Growing up, times are tough and being already disadvantaged as girl, I had to be fierce and callous. And temperamental at the very least. Until I met The Prospector, who winged me under his helm. He had no family and since then he is the only sort of family I had. Even though I work for him, I see him as a fatherly figure. He also taught me the way of life, took me on his journeys throughout Olegaia." Polly runs her eyes over Mhinak, "How is it like to be working for Heroica? Anyway, nice ocular gadget you have got there, can you see far with that eye?"

Kiray moves over to the were-racoon. "How did you come into the Prospector's service?"

Kiray approaches Toren, who was sitting with Polly and Mhinak. Toren overhears Polly's account, then nods at Kiray,

18512177872_b72de3d266_o.jpg

"I met The Prospector under different circumstances, when he started to hiring to run his errands, while he slid into seculsion. The Prospector was wary of the Naga and the were-snakes that it commands. Anticipating that the Naga might plant spies around to locate his whereabouts, I was tasked, amongst other menial chores, to keep my ears and eyes pointed at the conversations amongst animals. It was unfortunate that the Nekrastone came into The Prospector's possession, but it seemed like returning it to its owners sounded like a good end to it all."

Polly notices Kiray as she approaches,

18611258038_0c7bffd9c3_o.jpg

"You seem like a strong and experienced, warrior, Kiray. Whereabouts did you attain such skills? Any interesting tales to tell? I'm interested."

Naîm approaches Elnath outside his cabin,

18611266988_9220e00d03_o.jpg

"The blue Nekrastone? I would imagine it to be the Star Elves, since it was Shadir that placed on my hands. I have got wind of worrying news about Shadir, but it is not something I am prepared to accept. Either way, it would also be courteous to return his Noble Seal to the Star Elves, even though from a prospector point of view, I imagine it would worth more than a few pieces of gold." Elnath scratches his chin, "Out of curiosity, why did you leave Fenario? I don't suppose they would be friendly to us if they knew of your return?"

Na'im accepts the scroll from Germ "My thanks master Germ. Though if I'd had my way, all of Ralli's scrolls would have been in my possession"

If you had your way, you would of taken the whole house. Not that I would blame you I would probably done some thing similar.

Elnath shakes his head in a disappointing manner, albiet in jest.

Germ eventually locates the Lannisters, Hung's on the crow nest, whereas Lyrion's on the helm.

18794012202_a075c47e31_o.jpg

"Hung's not going to hear anything from here, Hero, but I will answer your questions. We have been assigned tasks by The Prospector, to supervise all of The Prospector's workers and to take care of The Eyrie. Ever since The Prospector gave both of us a golden heart each, we are able to attempt other tasks, although not as well as what we're intended for. The Prospector renamed us Lyrion and Hung Lannister, but our original aliases were Supervisor and Hung's Shipmaster. Hung's incharge of the hold, galley, cabin, crow nest, everything on this ship. We're still not perfect, but so far no major blunders. But The Prospector treats everyone that works for him like family, so no bossing around." says Lyrion as he turns the wheel. "So, what are you Germ? You look different from the other Heroes."

Polly turns to Miderun and Bobby, firewood in her hands, looking at the party as well.

18611258038_0c7bffd9c3_o.jpg

"Should I continue to feed the fire in this tripod at the bow and the lamps at the bulwarks? I don't want to run out of firewood before we even started even though we'll reach in a couple of days."

QM Note:

Minimum requirement for maintaining fire for a clear/cloudy night at sea: One (1) unit of firewood at the Bow and one (1) unit at the Bulwarks, each night. Adding extra unit(s) serves no extra purpose, other than providing extra warmth and light, unless otherwise stated.

Tough as shiz, but my family is still around their and they're aight. Maybe you could stop by my hiz-house some time!"

"It can't hurt to be careful." Miderun shrugs. The orc turns to the Prospector, still struggling to piece together his tale.

"Why are the Star Elves the 'rightful owners' of these stones? It sounds like they were discovered in Fenario. Why do the elves need to have it? If they forced half their race underground, I'm not convinced they need that kind of power." Miderun crossed her arms, a little resentment creeping into her voice. Polly feeds the firewood to the fire (-1 unit). The fire burns brighter, lighting up the darker ends of the deck and giving those that gather around the tripod extra warmth.

"Perhaps considering that the Fenarians destroyed seven of their own cities during the war, there should be good reasons why the Star Elves would want to keep this stone out of anyone, especially the Fenarians. If this stone can be found under the Star Elves' dome, then I believe it should be returned there. As an outsider, who am I to decide the course of their fates?"

If you say so. Of course, I get my doubts at time.

A demon, of some sort. Heck might as well come up of what type. "Dark Demon", no that is redundant. How about a "Shadow Demon" mmmm or a "Shade Demon"? What do you think is better?

What is this "Golden Heart" you mention?

Hearing this type of talk coming from other people to appease "him". He ask out loud: Why does everyone try to talk like him? I do not expect everyone to learn my "demon language", I learn how to talk the local language. Hoping that it was loud enough for everyone to hear.

Then notice all her weapons and ask: Can you use all of those weapons?

Elnath shakes his head in a disappointing manner, albiet in jest

Na'im interlocks his fingers pensively and at last begins his tale "that is a long story so I hope you are prepared to listen a while. A long time ago is was what is known as a zealot-a religious warrior in my culture, somewhat like the Paladins today. I was exceptionally good at my work, and me and my men were unrivalled. Then one day, everything changed. We were sent to the land of Baltarok, to find an old relic that had been stolen by the orcs around those parts. But it was a trap. A cunning orcish warlord by the name of Tarokai lured us into an ambush and though we fought our way out many of us were lost. Once our sorrow subsided it was replaced with anger-surely the clerics who sent us after the artefact must have known if the dangers presented by Tarokai, yet they did not think to warn us. We concluded the clerics cared nothing for our lives and were corrupt and selfish. I was chosen to lead the attempt to assassinate the highpriest and as many other clerics as we could get out hands upon, but we were I'll prepared and the clerics expected us. I thourght it was the end. But fate was kind to me. I had already slain one of the clerics on my way to the highpriest's chambers and now there was a vacancy on the council of clerics-the highpriest respected my zeal and offered me a position as a cleric. I accepted and my brother zealots we're executed. But I did nothing-already I was taken in by this culture of greed that persisted amongst the clerics. But alas it all went wrong again. Many clerics viewed me a an upstart and made a plan to have me removed. They said I had been conspiring with the star elves, which was believable, for I had taken many outsiders into my court and whipped up a mob against me. And so I was forced to flee Fenario with my henchmen and the clothes on my back. Never agin can I forgive my people."

Na'im laughs "Not all of us heroes are quite like your late Shadir master Van Cleef. We are all just trying to make a living"

18794012202_a075c47e31_o.jpg

Lyrion remain emotionless and shrugs, "Try introduce yourself to humans eighty nine years younger than The Prospector, Demon itself is probably enough. As for my heart, Golden Heart, Golem Heart, it's all the same. The Prospector was resourceful enough to get his hands on those, although the source of which is largely unknown."

18611266988_9220e00d03_o.jpg

"Indeed, through the hands of numerous middlemen. One has to be careful when negotiating, there are crooks that would stop at nothing just for a few pieces of gold."

18611266988_9220e00d03_o.jpg

"From the way you described it, you have certainly been through a lot. Perhaps it might be a misunderstanding or...?" Elnath pauses for a second as he ponders, "If what you described is true, not that I don't trust your people, then we should be on our guard if you recognise someone familiar."

"All they were saying was that the old man on his ship has a Nekrastone. They didn't appear to be domesticated but I wouldn't rule that out."

"It is very brave of you to hang out in the alleyways. I heard that things get shady around those parts, but I prefer out in the open, like the pile. I spent most of my time at the heap-pile since I rarely venture beyond those walls."

Toren unrolls his bedroll beside the mast,

18512177872_b72de3d266_o.jpg

As The Eyrie sails into the night, Toren rolls up his bedroll and approaches Lyrion, who has been tending to the helm.

A huge gust of wind and rain suddenly hits The Eyrie and smothers all fire. Darkness engulfed the ship at an instant.

The Heroes could not see what lies infront of them, but could only hear voices around...

Cling clang hear the wind,

'there they drag you away.

Drag the chains, drag the chains

Cling clang taste the sea,

there's no chance of escape

Drag the chains, drag the chains

Drag the chains, drag the chains

Drag the chains, drag the chains

Drag

The

Chains

......

What would the heroes do?

Kiray immediately jumps up. "Should we try to bring her about? Try to get the sails to use the winds to our favor? Are there chains we should grab?"

At first blames Na'im for the darkness. Na'im, did you cast a Blinding spell. But, then heard the "song". Sirens! IT SOUNDS LIKE "SIRENS".

Then tries help Toren at the helm if he could find it. And tries to use his "magnifying glass" it see if it would help.

Na'im was sleeping soundly in his cabin untill he was woken by water spilling under the cabin door and reluctnatly he gets up and heads to the helm to investigate

"No master Germ it was not I. I'll have you know I prefer to be able to see which driec-" Na'im crashes into a stack of fireword near the stairs and ends up at the helm on all fours "-tion I am going thank you" finshes Na'im, as he continues to curse under his breath. It was clear he had not yet gained his sea legs

Na'im blanches as he heres the chilling song, and is reimnded of another moment a mere month ago when he and his companions waited for a challenge outside Ralli Bookeaters laboratory. "For goodness sake smeone go and fetch the prospector!" splutters Na'im s he empties his hat of rainwater and he shouts up to the Lannisters "In the name of all the Gods, get down here-we need to get the ship back on course. And pray how far away are we from land?" at last he turns to his companions at the helm "Hold still my friends I shall try to cast a little light" Na'im holds up the lucerna beatus and wills it to brighten up-it was an old Fenarian artefact after all and he had been told many years back by the high cleric that its power would decrease the further it went from Fenario-surely the opposite would now apply?

OOC: I'm back! Don't know if what I am doing with the Lucerna Beatus is stictly allowed, but I am guessing we shall see our atackers eventually so I don't think it's too unreasonable...

Kiray's words could not reach the helm or the crow's nest in the midst of thunder and the splattering of waves and rain against the vessel.

"Not even an hour of sleep? Come on!" Mhinak shouts as he heads up to the deck of the ship.

The Lannisters, not knowing how to react in this sudden dawn of darkness, did not respond to Naîm’s call and continue to remain in the crow’s nest, cowering in fear.

Germ, Naîm, and Mhinak stumble through the darkness, however, Germ has fallen behind due to his preoccupation with this magnifying glass, which made him less aware of his surroundings. Mhinak’s the first to reach the ladder, followed by Naîm, who wasted a couple of seconds attempting a feat that he’s not used to. Before the two Heroes could head up to the helm, their attention were momentarily drawn towards a beautiful sight, amidst the choppy waves and the rain. Two merfolks began to swim towards the portside, where Naîm and Mhinak are…

Germ finally reaches the helm, but the darkness has made his vision relatively poor.

"GERM! HELP ME!"

Elnath opens his cabin door, and palms his way to the helm, still recovering in shock from the sudden darkness. As he and the other Heroes make their way to the Helm, they begin to adapt and acclimatise to the darkness.

"What is going on here?"

"Not too ideal if your ship were to sink in the middle of a storm like this, do you? Perhaps if we were to give you a hand, to lighten your ship." The octopial slithers its tentacles towards Elnath and pokes at the glowing object underneath Elnath's coat, "Which do you think is heavier, that shiny stone under your coat or this overweight racoon?" Says the Octopial, as it tightens its other tentacles around Toren.

"HEROES! SAVE ME!"

What will the party do?

Mhinak's attention is drawn by the mermaids.

"Well hello!" Mhinak is in some sort of love-trance. "How are you two beautiful beings doing out in this storm?" While speaking though, thunder begins to crack and he gets a thought.

No, they are Mermaids in the water, they are practically fish. I can't fall for a fish. I must snap out of it immediately! For my friends and for Polly!

Without saying anything, Mhinak loses his grip of the side of the ship and runs up to Elnath and Toren. Mhinak shouts at the Merfolk.

"Get your wee little baby tentacles of him you foul creature! If you want that stone, you're going to have to take me down too!"

OoC: It's fine if I do a few actions like that, right? In a "single sequence"?
