Job: Explorer

After ending my call with Mark, I checked my scanner; still no life forms detected. so much for "moderate alien activity..." Wait, did something just move in the water? Nah, must've just been my imagination. Suddenly, a big black alien surfaced out of the water:

18809129635_43e8ff9d47_o.jpgAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

The alien was stunned by the appearance of this odd looking (and loud) thing, and merely looked at it, too surprised to do anything else.

Our "brave" explorer whipped out his radio and yelled for help.

18809129635_43e8ff9d47_o.jpgHELP!

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgBig Sal here John, what's up?

18809129635_43e8ff9d47_o.jpgA ginormous alien is coming right for me!

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgOoh, can you catch it and bring it back to the lab?

18809129635_43e8ff9d47_o.jpgAre you nuts?!?! It's bigger than my boat!!

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgHmm, could you tow it?

18809129635_43e8ff9d47_o.jpgWait, I think it's leaving. Yes, it is. Phew, that was a close one.

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgToo bad, I could use something interesting to experiment on. All they've had for me lately are boring plants...

18809129635_a72f5083de_t.jpg I'll see if I can bring you back a small, less terrifying, alien, but no promises there. Little John out.

After putting away his radio, Little John hops our of his boat and climbs up the rocks to get a better view of the surrounding area.

The color choices here are epic Little John. The way the rock formations all have a similar SNOT styling is fantastic, and I really like those large droid arm trees!

Lots of great details here, the rockwork is really good and the purple liquid gives it a great alien landscape vibe! I also really like those trees, good work!

Awesome mushroom clusters (love the use of hair!) and the similar rock formations as others have said make for a real feel in the build! The throned trees are cool too, will have to give that a shot some time.

I'm really liking the color choices here LJ, the water is superb and the terrain and rock-work are excellent as well! Very neat little boat and alien too!

Thanks, mrcp6d! I was trying to come up with a good tree design that looked alien, glad you like how they turned out :sweet:

Fantastic build, bud! Love those "hair" plants.

Thanks, Graham! :classic:

Awesome. Really nice landscape. The one shot I'd like to see is from straight on above. Great job!

Thanks! I didn't think about doing a shot from above, but looking back, it would've been nice :hmpf_bad:

Lovely landscape! Beautiful color use, and that tile water technique works well. Must have been fun to build...

Great alien and story too

Thanks, sk! The water wasn't too bad as far as sturdiness goes, though it was rather time intensive.

I'm loving those colors :D Very nice brick usage with those beige plants/wigs!

Thanks! :sweet:

Hahaha, thanks for including Big Sal in this - you captured him perfectly

Fantastic build too!

Thanks, Big Sal! You're most welcome, it was a lot of fun to do!

Man, builds like this puts the pressure on! Really imaginative! Not to mention that you've got to have an impressive parts collection...

Thanks! Glad you like it :classic:

Great build, love the colours, stonework, vegetation, everything! :classic: Although, what's up with your signature showing you have -73 credits?

Thanks, NuckElBerg! I'm not sure, should probably have that looked into :look::laugh:

Awesome landscape!

Thank you!

Nice use of colors and parts!

Thanks, glad you like it! :classic:

Very colorful build and a great story. Is that Nessie in the water? ;)

Thanks, it's some sort of sea alien :classic:

Once again, I am so glad you are M.A.N.T.I.S.!

Thanks, me too

Wow, Excellent work on the scenery! The purple water looks great!

Thanks, Mark! Haha, guess not :wink:

This is so beautiful! The build and the colors really pop! I love the foliage growing out of the rocks and the water and ripple effects!
