kbalage Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Hopefully I'll be able to finish filming my 42069 RC mod tomorrow morning, until then I wanted to share this image. I think it looks pretty cool after sunset :) Quote
Myers Lego Technic Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 What camera/ lens combo are you using @kbalage? You have some nice bokeh there! Quote
Paknaloid Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 @kbalage that's a lovely photo, I like it a lot - great work Quote
kbalage Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Thanks guys :) @Myers Lego Technic my camera is an Olympus OMD EM-5, the lens used here is an Olympus 45mm F1.8 @F2.8 Quote
Myers Lego Technic Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Ahh, there's your bokeh. I like to shoot at f/2.8 as well but with the canon 50 mm f/1.4. Quote

Also here's an example of a rule of thirds outdoor shot: I have a Fujifilm XP50. The XP50 doesn't allow changing focus points like a DSLR. I use a LEGO target tile to focus when the subject is not on the focus point as an alternative to the focus/recompose technique.. Set the timer to 10 secs. Press the shutter to focus and then get the target out of the scene before the 10 seconds is up. Quote

Myers Lego Technic Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 (edited) A while ago I experimented with some minifig photos that tell a story. It’s not quite tehinic but the skills could be carried over. PS I’m sorry if it’s a bit out of focus. BTW, can anyone guess how it’s done? Edited October 19, 2017 by Myers Lego Technic Quote
Alex Ilea Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 You glued the fig to a glass and focused on the fig? Quote
Myers Lego Technic Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 interesting tidbit, there's no glass. Good try though @IA creations , you are on the right track. Instead of using glass I used a long stick attached to the minifigs back. It was windy that day and because the mini could sway, it became a bit out of focus. Quote
kbalage Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 When in doubt, add more wings ;) Really like the bokeh on the ground, the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT is a true gem! Quote

Atm my screensaver I think this looks great with your post production. Do you drive that treaded vehicle on pavement? If so how do those studs wear after driving over it? Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Thnx, i do, they are pretty sturdy, I had them on my last tracked vehicle to, which I run a lot and they didn't even wear 1 mm. Quote
