This week I am assigned to operate a Centaur Heavy Artillery Mech on Traig IV. Kawashita is fortifying the planet with shield generators in case of armed conflict with the unscrupulous Octan Corporation. Heard they shot down one of our scientific research vessels on Arium Minor. Bloody bastards! Several squads of Kawashita's HTC have been stationed here as well while Kara Scel gets the shield generators operational. Ha, lets see Octan try and blow this place up while I stand guard!" mccoyed Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Awesome. That mech is just crazy and I love the environment you've put it in. Those big flowers are cool enough, but the white leaves along the rocks are an inspired choice. Quote
SpacerSteve Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Cool plant life on this build. Neat how you built the bionicle into an exoskeleton. Quote
aeralure Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Love it! Mecha, gunboat, some troops, lots of missiles and pretty flowers. I mean what else could you ask for? Really nice work. Quote
Kodan Black Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 First off, total lies. We tried to come to the aid of a downed ship on Arium Minor in the hopes of rendering aid to any injured Kawashita members. Our benevolent actions are because we care. Love the mech and the deboarding of the boat. Very organic. Those flower/tree things are great. I really like the parts usage. Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Excellent build Mike S! The Mech looks great but the plants look even better! Quote
pombe Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Great mech, great terrain (love the foliage), and great scene! Wonderful shield generator! I love how dynamic the scene is. Everyone looks so busy working. I love the story that goes along with it! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) First off, total lies. Love the mech and the deboarding of the boat. Very organic. Those flower/tree things are great. I really like the parts usage. Indeed. I thought it was above Kawashita's honorable standards to baselessly accuse our "nice" Corporation of such a violent act. And we certainly had no ulterior motives when we went to inspect it.... Excellent build! I love the Centaur Mech! And the ship is great too! Very dynamic! Also very large! The rock work is lovely, and I love the shield generator! Wow Kawashita is really gearing up! That's a lot of commandos! Oh! And the foliage is freaking gorgeous! Love that lime and dark green and yellow! Very alien! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited June 17, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote
mrcp6d Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 That mech is certainly ready to rock 'n' roll! Quote
Mike S Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Thank you all for the comments! First off, total lies. We tried to come to the aid of a downed ship on Arium Minor in the hopes of rendering aid to any injured Kawashita members. Our benevolent actions are because we care. Lies? Memo says this info came straight from the mouth of an inebriated bragging Octan "security" pilot at one of those shady space-bars in neutral space.... Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Lies? Memo says this info came straight from the mouth of an inebriated bragging Octan "security" pilot at one of those shady space-bars in neutral space.... [italics mine] Which of course is a clear proof that these are all lies! Quote
Mike S Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) Which of course is a clear proof that these are all lies! Kawashita interrogation manuals state otherwise. Section 23, paragraph 3, says: "One of the simplest ways to extract information from an Octan pilot is to ply him/her with the alcoholic beverage of their choice until they spill their guts. It is then the duty of the interrogation officer to decipher truth from fiction." If a Kawashita agent decided that the pilot was telling the truth, there cannot be any doubt that he was. kabel Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Very nice rock formation and great connection to the rest of the build. Great to see you building again, even though if it's for the wrong team! One of the simplest ways to extract information from an Octan pilot is to ply him/her with the alcoholic beverage of their choice until they spill their guts. Octan code of conduction rule 247: "An Octan employee is kindly asked to refrain from the abuse of alcoholic beverages" - There's no way whatsoever you'd ever get an Octan pilot (or egineer) drunk! On penalty of a write-up to HR from Dr. Long: and that, my friends, is indeed a fate many Octan employees fear more than death itself. And yet somehow a good half our employees are drunks of one kind or another... it's that Pombe character, I'm sure of it... always wrecking Axle Meeting Room E-T0H. ~Dr. Long Quote
Big Sal Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Wow, fantastic build! I love how it slopes down from the top with different amazing builds at every level! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Wow! That's a super impressive mech Incredible landscape too, reminds me of some of your Kali builds Quote
NuckElBerg Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Great base, menacing looking 4-legged mech and troopers! This will make sure that we can stand against Octan in the sector! Quote
David FNJ Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 What a cool landscape! That mech is such a beast! Awesome. Quote
Zepher Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 You have such cool builds - always love your mechs and as other have said, that coloring for the plant life is just superb. Love the little black support beams that go into the water - great little detail in the snot. I really also love how wildly aggressive the mech looks - real consistent feel in your work. Quote
