Kai NRG Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Location: H09 Tags: Exploration, Science As we all know, Dr. Danielle was asking Guy to get a few samples on Wastyria - and a whole host of other places, of course. But how do you eat an elephant, if not one bite at a time? So Guy took a peek at what was waiting for him on Wastyria.... and then decided to offer to take over the laundry jobs for the Octan executives. A few views of just the rock: Since I made it to be viewed from all size, I had to get pictures of that, of course! Thanks for checking this MOC out! I think this is some of the best rockwork I've ever done. As for the snake... well, I'm not much of a creature builder. But I tried! Quote
Mike S Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Nice piece usage on the snake and great rockwork! Quote
NuckElBerg Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Awsome looking snake and great little rock, great work! Quote
mrcp6d Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Well that snake is just plain impressive! All the different "curve" techniques somehow come together well. Quote
shmails Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Fantastic rock. It is even nicer when you leave it on its own, but then you would miss out on that amazing serpent! Quote
LittleJohn Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Excellent build, Kai! The snake is great and I really like the shaping of the rock Quote
kabel Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 As you've already said, definetely your best rock formation yet! Quote
Garmadon Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Excellent build Kai, the rock-work, especially the arch, is superb! Nice job on the snake as well, though the head does look a little odd for some reason... Great job overall! Quote
Jody Meyer Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 i'll bring the fabric softener...The snake turned out great, better then anything I could have come up with. The rock work is awesome, love the hanging look to it. Quote
mccoyed Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 That all looks awesome. Definitely some parts use and execution that I would never have thought of. Quote
aeralure Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 I really like the rock. And the snake is cool - you chose a really good part for it's tail, the way it curves like that and leaves the spiny part exposed - and I like it's head. Quote
Kodan Black Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 The rock work is great and the shaping is top notch! But I like the way the snake wraps around the rocks best! Quote
Big Sal Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Really great! The rock is amazing - very lifelike somehow, and the snake is great too. I like the flag as its tongue! Quote
Zepher Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 That snake looks thin and fast, and I love that tongue! I am also a huge fan of the rock work, looks craggy. Quote

soccerkid6 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Really neat rock formation, and the coiling serpent is quite impressive Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Thanks everyone! I really appreciate all the comments! Well that snake is just plain impressive! All the different "curve" techniques somehow come together well. I'm glad you think so! I was a bit unsure myself, but that sort of thing really eats up pieces fast! Thanks! i'll bring the fabric softener...The snake turned out great, better then anything I could have come up with. The rock work is awesome, love the hanging look to it. Oh good, I wouldn't get anywhere without the softener! Thanks! Really great! The rock is amazing - very lifelike somehow, and the snake is great too. I like the flag as its tongue! Thanks Big Sal! Lady K Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Well done snake and rockwork! The snake color and shape turned out well, and the rock even has a serpent-like look to it without the snake! Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 Well done snake and rockwork! The snake color and shape turned out well, and the rock even has a serpent-like look to it without the snake! Thanks Lady K! I'll have to admit that that last was completely unintentional, but now that you mention it, I see what you mean! Great snake and rockwork! Thanks UM! The judges awarded you 8 points. TheUtilityBelt Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Wow! I'll definitely be using that curving motion technique sometime. Quote
