Hello all!

I don't normally post in this forum, and I normally don't do System MOC's very often (and the ones I do are normally in LDD, which this one is), but decided that, with the release of Muse's most recent album "Drones" and having flicked through all the amazing artistic representations of the songs on the album, I decided I wanted to MOC as many of those artworks as possible. This is the second one so far (you can view and comment on my first one, Psycho, here), named "The Handler". This one was a bit of an abstract and probably wouldn't completely work in real bricks, so I did it in LDD and did a couple of renderings of it.

Firstly, the artistic rendering and comparison to the original artwork:

And a plain render so you can see the true colours:

I guess all I really found out from this is that 16M chains are really hard to position correctly in LDD, so please don't shoot me down because the chains aren't completely straight and impossible to connect at both ends the way I wanted! (p.s. if anyone knows how to get them straight, here's the file).

Positive and constructive comments are really appreciated. If you've also got the new Muse album and would like to see more LEGO renderings of the artworks, you can say which song you'd like me to do next too. Enjoy!

Does nobody like this MOC at all? I'm not sure why I bother posting stuff like this anymore because it's very discouraging when it gets 0 replies, makes me think I'm a really rubbish MOC'er when I do put 110% into every model I build :cry_sad: Is it the subject matter or is this forum rather inactive?

Anyway, here's some alternate views to highlight some other details like the build of the human and the underside of the hand:

If someone proficient in LDD can get those chains attached to the fingertips (as my intention was), please let me know, those drove me crazy

The Special topics seems to see less activity than others, for sure.

I think it is great! I totally sympathize with attaching chains in LDD, such a pain to keep them straight, especially when using more than one.

My only quibble would be with the wrist/arm--I don't know how, but it needs more texture than it currently has.

Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated :classic:

Round shapes are probably not my forté if I'm honest... it was the last part I made too so I probably just put it on to finish the building and play with some rendering settings, because by that point I'd spent several hours trying to get the big hand and the chains in the right positions and ensuring they were matched with the fingers as in the artwork, and I think I wanted to call it done by that point  . The main focus is the hand and the man really :classic:
