June 22, 20159 yr For a bit of fun I made a working lathe with working feeds. It had a 4 jaw chuck and was able to turn down a square block of oasis to round. Because I was working with LEGO, there was considerable deformation and deflection of the tool piece when cutting. I used a buggy motor to drive the chuck, with no gearing. There was a bit of load on the motor during cutting operations. I hope that you can do better.
