jonfett Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 So I was browsing through the Brickshelf recent pages when a couple of SW figs caught my eye. First was a 3-legged R2D2 by PepaQuin. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1173229 I like how he used the new 1x1 slope to finally give R2 a middle leg, maybe TLC will pounce upon this in the future. Next were 2 great custom Ep III clones by Blasterman. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1173064 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1173063 I really like the detailing on the Red clone, much better than what TLC has produced. But still I wish we had more normal clones :/ Jon. Quote
languages Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I also like the 3rd leg on R2D2. I will have to copy this idea onto some of my dioramas because it is so great! Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Thanks Jon, I've noticed today the R2 unit, its just great, can't wait to have mine ;) Quote
The Middleman Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 LEGO could do that, too. Why don't THEY come up with these ideas? |:| Quote
Cyclonis Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 LEGO could do that, too. Why don't THEY come up with these ideas? |:| cause they can't be bothored. But what is that piece for R2D2's third leg? or is it a custom piece? Quote
jonfett Posted April 14, 2005 Author Posted April 14, 2005 I found a few new nice updates in Jeffs folder today. Firstly a, rather disturbing, belville clone trooper *wacko* http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1181409 which actually looks ok.. don't call me insane! Next is a darktrooper from battlefront, http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1181391 which has a nice modified jetpack. Last is a modified sandtrooper, http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1185640 which has a few custom parts added as well a a white shoulder padroun. Lately I have been hooked to Blastermans minifig gallery, mainly because of all the great Star Wars figs he has been making lately. Check it out here. Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 That's a very clever solution for R2's third leg! If only I had some extra 1x1 slopes *wacko* Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 That's a very clever solution for R2's third leg! If only I had some extra 1x1 slopes *wacko* You have 2 in the Monster pod and 2 in the Aqua pod. At least its not from larger sets ;) Quote

It feels like something that could be displayed next to action figures. Quote
LuxorV Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Please do not resurrect a 11 and a half years old topic just to state you like one of the parts/figures showcased. While I can see understand your willingness to express your appreciation, it needlessly detracts from more current content. Quote
