Dear AFOLs,

after months and months of lurking here I am to show my first real city I'm building as an adult. In this time of my life I'm moving in a new house where there is a spare bedroom that I'll use as a hobby/studio/LEGO room; at present I use this room to store everything during the moving, so in these weeks no LEGO is allowed here. In the meantime I'm building in the true bedroom a small city (4x 32x32 baseplates) on the top of a commode, hence the name Bedford-on-Commode. There is nothing special in this city, in fact it is just a display of some sets of portion of sets, both old and new.

Bedford-on-Commode it's very small, but there is a lot of traffic everywhere.

I managed to create a small garden behind the wall where citizens can rest a little... perhaps they could rest better with benches, ops

Police and dust everywhere

Overall view of the city.

love the raised motorway, very good idea. It does have a lot of traffic, but what can you do when Lego make so many vehicles and so few buildings?

Indeed. I wish they came out with more infrastructure and not only police stations and fire stations :hmpf_bad:

I like the power lines with lamps, they make it look very realistic. The overpass is also interesting, I might consider something similar for my town.

Oh cool :classic: if this is just an interim city I can't wait to see your set up once you've unpacked

Great start, I look forward to seeing more

Happy building

Thanks :classic:. By the way, I didn't use smaller wheels, all trucks are almost unmodified (for example, I added mirrors on the red prime mover, from set 7939, but this made it larger than the original ). In this time I rebuilt two old space sets, so Bedford-on-Commode was ignored, but for the next days I'm planning to built the B-model from set 31026. Stay tuned.

Oh ok.
