BMW Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 This iconic time machine, known to Science Fiction Fans worldwide, is from the classic 1960 George Pal movie "The Time Machine" based on the H.G. Wells novel. The Time Sled is lit with LEDS and a 9v micro motor turns the disk. It was built for Brickworld 2015 where it was nominated for Best Vignette. https://flic.kr/p/vxPUxZ Quote

lightningtiger Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Awesome design, this would totally kick 10K on Ideas.......Brick On 'BMW' ! Quote
SMC Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 It could also be the second time machine in ideas after bttf. Quote
Only Sinner Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I love this story, thanks for sharing this beautiful MOC. Quote
Werlu Ulcur Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Beautiful! You definitively should put it n Lego Ideas! Quote
Andy D Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 This time machine (to me) is almost as iconic as the TARDIS. I don't think I have ever encouraged anyone to put a set on ideas, but (for me) this is the one. It is a great size and piece count for Ideas as well. Great MOC! Andy D Quote
SMC Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 It could also be the second time machine in ideas after bttf. This time machine (to me) is almost as iconic as the TARDIS. How did I forget that, ok 3rd time machine in an ideas se. This is great for ideas because one set is all you need we wont get it any other way its iconic but not too big, it could be done without new molds too. Quote
PaddyBricksplitter Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 So good. It's just crammed with details. Quote
Isundir Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 That would make a great ideas set and go with big bang too. I would buy one fir sure. Agreed, want to buy this! Quote
domboy Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Awesome model. The original time machine is one of my all-time favorite movies, and this vignette is awesome... you got the candle, clock, checkered floor, flower pots etc all in there. Curiously, it's like a Lego version of the working model George used for his demonstration at the start of the movie. Edited July 16, 2015 by domboy Quote
dglacet Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Really awesome!!! I would like to have this vignette at home!! Quote
BBBeavarr Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Oh goodness... that's beautiful. How did you manage to put that detailing on the gold dish? Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Absolutely brilliant - reminds me of the old movie (50s, wasn't it). The MOC has the same charme. Quote
