Remember, on the original Brick Picker list, Ferry is a seperate set from Fire Response Unit, and Tire Escape is a seperate set from Fire Starter Set.

Oh... that makes a lot of sense

Overall, the City 2016 sets sounds like a pretty generic City line-up, with the exception of Prison Island

Well there's a turn up for the books, meh ! :look:

Seriously, pretty boring except for a prison island.......hmm, sounds interesting and yet, where is that garage ? :look:

Let me guess it's a flaming store exclusive.......I'll bet on that !

Drivel time!

  1. s r I am sorely, deeply, utterly disappointed by this set. No suspension, useless driver and crew (it's not
driving), probably would look uninspiring, shoddily-built and lack wide fenders, opening doors, or even an engine bay. TLG might as well just stop selling City GV sets anymore. What's the use? /s /r

You're talking sarcastically, right?

See the /s in the end. Yes, that was sarcasm. No, I am neither scared nor am Nostradamus.

Generally I find it hard to evaluate the greatness of a set based on the title alone. Need to see some pics, and then I will probably add my five cents :)

Pretty boring and generic the sets again , with the exception of the prison island . I'm kind of curious about the ambulance plane , how would they make that ?

?

LEGO City Fire ATV

LEGO City Tire Escape Fire Starter Set

LEGO City Rally Car

LEGO City Race Boat

LEGO City Prison Starter Set

LEGO City 4 X4 Off Roader

LEGO City Ambulance Plane

LEGO City Van & Caravan

LEGO City Garbage Truck

LEGO City Fire Ladder Truck

LEGO City Police Pursuit

LEGO City Ferry Fire Response Unit

LEGO City Police Patrol Boat

LEGO City Fire Boat

LEGO City Prison Island

LEGO City Fire Station

I'm very curious about that ambulance plane. I'm wondering what that would be? I only saw one classic plane and it appears to be never released. i don't even think those things even exist. maybe in some extreme places but here in Holland, nope.

and I like vans so something like a van & caravan could be nice!

but again new fire trucks?! what do they expect. we make more fire trucks because we can? i don't have many myself so I don't mind some extras. but looking at how many were released I think LEGO expects us to have more fires then people...

Funny thing, no fire station ?

Five fire sets and no station house......plus no helicopters neither ?

This is going to be an odd first wave to almost any year of City.

Very excited to see what these new sets will look like. I was surprised to see a new fire boat as they did one in 2013 and it wasn't a big seller. Thankfully I got one! I like the odd non popular sets as they are unique that way. The ambulance plane and ferry rescue boat sound cool and the mysterious prison island. I wonder if the ferry boat will be the size of a car ferry?

No, I bet that it'll be a regular sold set - but firstly in the 2nd half of 2016 (since legomilk posted all subthemes for 2016). Possibly even a / the 170-Euros set like 60097. So I even would count on a parking garage and not (only) a Garage.

I hope that it will look more decent than the version from 2012 and that there won't be only the parking garage included, but even an additional building - at the best a skateboard shop, a hardware store, a mulitmedia store or a cafe / bakery.

I fear that the Ambulance Plane will be the size of the third version since I count on it being 20-30 Euros because of it being parts of the Great Vehicles theme (in which the highest price per set has been being 30 Euros)

I would imagine that the Ferry Fire Response Unit is helicopter based so the firefighters get a quick response and are winched aboard like the MIRG are here in the uk

I imagine something like 6743 Res-Q Cruiser - a fireboat being able to carry one or two fire trucks :-| . Of course I would be happy to be proven wrong ;). A proper Lego city ferry would be great.

There is no "Ferry Fire Response Unit." They are two separate sets - a Ferry and a Fire Response Unit - that got put on the same line of the leaked set list accidentally.

I hope we'll get the official names of these soon....

Some could sound a lot better

I like the smaller starter sets (10€); 4 figs, and something to do with them.

I'm not into the larger sets (25€); I bought the old one when it was 50% off (who wouldn't?), and wait for it to happen to the new one.

I think the (current) starter sets offer a good price-to-value, even more with an additional discount. Last week I saw the older ones at a local toystore for €7,5, which is a good deal for Belgian standards I think. Even the newer ones (space/diving) are good at €9,9.

They make the polybags look expensive though.

I'd like to see newer starter sets offer the same flexibility as the (de)construction one. I purchased two of those because the minifig torsos, legs and headpieces can be used in lots of believable combinations.

Thanks! Let's see:

The Fire Starter Set would seem to be quite like this year's: a vehicle, four figs and something in fire.

I think this is what rescue was in the list we got some weeks ago. It doesn't sound that good.

A fire boat. It would be much better if it was a boat IN fire, not a boat OF fire.

The SUV sounds good. I hope it's a civilian SUV, not a firefighting one.

I retract what I said in the other post. The PI will be one of the cheapest. I hope that for the second half of 2016 they will release an ACTUAL island.

The Garbage Collecting Truck sounds good.

I wonder what that vehicle will be.

When did they do the last speedboat not in a transporter set anyway?

So it's a collection of vans and trailers? 3 different vans and caravans, anyone?

I already have the Racecar, so I hope it's different. It'll probably be.

Didn't they make a police boat last year?

Sorry guys, it has a ladder.

I hope the ferry is like those real life ones where they don't transport cars, but people. So I want it to be 6 figs (5 civilians and the ferry driver) and a little monument of sorts.

This one seems to be like the starter set, but with a larger car, and maybe a larger ''thing in fire'', like a house.

So they'll make two versions of it, or what?

Another garbage truck.....at least Lego city will be clean eh ?

Now a ferry sounds like the best of the bunch and my guess is it will be a car ferry.
