8BrickMario Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Look at the Crooks Island. There's a BURP with a corner. Quote
sasbury Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Some thoughts on the fire sets (as a Lego fire enthusiast). Overall, the lineup is good but not exceptional. I realize these sets are targeted at kids, but I think Lego slightly underperformed on some things. 60109 Fire Boat I like this set. Nice to see Lego using a larger hull piece (more realistic) for the fireboat. It would be nice to be able to extend the length of the boat. Would it make more sense to have the shack on fire instead of the lighthouse? Grade A- 60110 Fire Station This set is almost exactly like 60004 (which I liked) but not quite as good. It does look like we get roll-up garage doors. The revolving door seems more at home in a hotel than a fire station. And, while I get the playability, I cannot figure out why there's a fire pole outside the front of the fire station. I do miss the baseplates that came with fire stations in the 80s and 90s. Water guns are just silly. Really, Lego??? Grade B- 60111 Fire Utility Truck I like the idea of a Unimog fire truck, but I don't get the snorkel trailer. It doesn't make any sense (this unit is for the forest?), and the boom doesn't reach high enough to be of any practical purpose. If it were towing a bulldozer instead you'd have a MUCH better set! http://brickset.com/...Evacuation-Team Grade B 60112 Fire Engine It's nice to see a hook-and-ladder truck back in the lineup. The design is fairly good. Unfortunately, the thing is designed backwards!!! The ladder should be on the front of the trailer and not the back. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/51537 I'd also like to see them make the ladder so it can extend. Grade B- (grade reduced for being backwards) What's missing Lego missed a couple of opportunities with this lineup. I'd like to see them • Re-release the 1x4x4 lift doors in red. They're going for about $20 each on Bricklink. • Consider a hazmat team. It's becoming common in the United States to have this as part of the standard fire department. http://farm4.static...._ea315bd0be.jpg • Release a 2x6x2 windscreen that's flat and not sloped. This has been a huge missing piece for fire apparatus builders. Also, it looks like we finally get a yellow fire helmet in the Mixels sets. Yay! -Steven http://www.brickshel...ery.cgi?f=15136 Edited October 12, 2015 by sasbury Quote

Yay! -Steven http://www.brickshel...ery.cgi?f=15136 Nice rundown of what has been seen. 60110 The Fire Station is like a mash up of both 60004 & 7208. Will get the new station mainly for the new Aerial platform. 60111 Like you I did wonder why a platform on the trailer but then again it is a kids toy so plenty play ability but at long last a special eqpt type vehicle. 60112 looking at the photo's, to make this look more like a tiler truck I'd swap the positions of the hose reel and the locker, then move the turntable and ladder to above where the king pin/5th wheel are and move the yellow barriers to above the rear wheel. And at long last a yellow fire helmet, albeit not in the city theme. Edited October 13, 2015 by scottwb2010 Quote
TheLegoPerson9 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Liking this wave of city sets so far. I definitely want Police Pursuit and Police Patrol Boat but aside from that, it's gonna be hard to choose what to get. I like several of those sets. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) I'm actually liking some of these new sets. Here's my thoughts: 60110: the fire station looks better than expected. It's got a different look than past fire stations. I was expecting a lot more for the chef and his stand though. I'm glad the fire fighters have new torsos and the chief is in this set. Other than that, this set is not worth it. 60111: I'm seeing a new face with the construction worker. The only thing I'm liking about these are the things that are burning through out the new sets. This is one that looks good to me. Love the new spray shooters for the firefighters. I like this one. 60112: such a disappointing building, although that's a great looking fire truck. Not the best set. 60114: that's a great looking speed boat! The minfigure is using the blue jacket torso from the juniors set, that's nice. Is that a new Brown facial haired face? Definitely a great set. 60127: love this starter set, it's the cheapest way to get these new ultra agent looking police torsos. The police seriously look like ultra agents. Loving the new crook torsos with the Orange being revealed. I really like this set. 60128: I spy two new faces! That police car looks really slick, but sadly it's just another pursuit set. It's weird, I have a collection of all the police pursuit sets. It all started from 2011-2015, I've gotten all of them. I guess I will have to get this one. Loving this set. 60129: female crook! Its always good to see them, other than that it's a weak set. I like how they're reusing the arctic Orange goggle face. Not much going on here for me to get. 60130: now here's a set I enjoy. That hot air balloon is amazing with the red and black colors. The police station looks really good. I'm liking that exclusive crook with the full opened Orange torso, sadly it comes in the most expensive set. Everything about this set is amazing. 60131: looks like a minecraft set. I don't like it, although the glasses minifigure looks good. Other than that, disappointing set. Edited October 14, 2015 by amazingbricks Quote

ilikeboomerang1 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 The Fire Helicopter has a Power Functions piece and a big shipping container that has a new panel piece with indents!
