60128 is the best one because of the car and even then it just looks mediocre.

Not digging this wave personally, really is the true definition of rehash. :cry_sad:

Guess I'll just stock up on Creator Toyshops to make custom buildings. I was looking forward to this City wave cause of the more original subjects, but so far it's not too interesting, what with 5 police sets, 4 Fire sets, and only vehicles besides that for 2016.

Among the fire sets, I might actually pick up the 60111 Fire Utility Truck, truck reminds me of the smaller fire trucks I saw in France during short visit there, and I do like the satellite dish assembly (want those large support pieces!)

Oh snap that balloon is hot as hell! Can't afford the set it's in, though, but I'll be looking for this on discount if it ever makes it there! Black and red hot air balloon parts? Buck yeah!

I love 60128 and 60130, because a police sport car and a prisoner island are totally can maked to been great sets  . Dissapointed in the Fire line, because those thing are just a bunch of remakes of the old sets for me. :sadnew:

A pic of the creator Corner Delhi (31050)

I like it.

It's more like the bike and coffee shop than the last toys and newspaper.

I surely buy it, and it depends on the price maybe more than one.

So far the best looking thing of the lot (and the only one going straight onto my must-buy list) is the prison island. I collect police stations and that definatly counts as one in my book...

Plus it has some nice looking parts like the red & black hot air balloon, the large black rubber boat and what looks like jail bars in what looks to be dark bley (and not the light bley those parts normally come in)

The fire station is worse than the 60004 Fire Station in 2013 (at least that one had the roller-doors and introduced the 1 x 4 x 3 window glass in trans light blue)

And have LEGO really started using the 1x1 round gun shooters as fire hoses (in the 2 fire trucks at least)?

A couple new interesting looking torsos in the prison island starter set (although I will see if they also appear in the prison island and just how good they actually are before deciding on this set)

The cop car in the pursuit set does have the nice looking wheels on it but that's the only good thing I can say about that set (how many times has LEGO given us a dark red bad guy vehicle now?)

And we get HOW many helicopters this year? (so far I see 2 police and 1 fire)

Those fire sets are a step up for sure, ouch my wallet but I must say one thing can't Lego stick to a standard for their police vehicles......back to black & white again seriously is Lego expecting me to upgrade my fleet every two years ?

Some downers - the lighthouse on fire - that light fixture might be a tad too small for the structure.

The police boat looks like it's a throw back in style ten years ago.

The Unimog fire truck towing that trailer which isn't 4x4 style like the vehicle towing it.

Oh, well not everything can be perfect......now I wonder when all these images get taken down eh ? ;)

that little police buggy & that fire boat... so excited about'em..

You now know what the next coast guard ATV will look like  whenever that is, plus we should get use to the wide ship hauls now but I like the fire boat indeed.

Hmm... Yet another series of City sets that I have no particular wish to get. On the other hand, it leaves space and funding for other bricks to buy, so maybe not a big loss

The Corner Deli confirms that Creator has taken over part of the tasks formerly filled out by City sets. And thanks for that, less panel walls and more bricks. The Deli, in my eyes, looks a lot like the Café and Bike Store and at the same time also have similarities with Detective's Office. Though not love at first sight, I guess it's a set that will end up on my wish list - and ultimately - on my desk...

I think this is a pretty decent City wave. The racing boat is great, it's probably also the smallest (thus cheapest) one with cockpit TLG has done in a long time. The Police Persuit set is imo actually quite cool, the police car is a sleek looking sports car; refreshing. Prison Island is not as exciting as it sounded, but well, this is City after all, more real-life based. I think it has a pretty strong wink to this set, I like it: 7237-2.jpg?201108060859 The Crook Island is an interesting one, with the olive pieces and a significant part being rock (looks to me like some sort of BURP).

can satellites burn? 60112 looks pretty decent. would le to have something like that in my collection. and the police car from 60128 looks also pretty cool. never saw those wheels but I want them!! but 60109 is really bad imo! never saw a boat that wide. (I did, a few days ago...)

The Fire Utility Truck is basically a rehash of the Snow Plough of this year, with some extra's thrown in (wondering if that 'll up the price).

The Police Pursuit is a combination of similarly named sets of the past years. But is does have a novelty: a 6 wide "normal" patrol car. Is Lego slowly moving towards 6-wide cars as the standard? Hard to say now, because the only other car in the now visible 2016 sets is in Fire station and is still 4 wide, but then again the cars in the Fire Station sets are mostly just a small extra with little attention paid to them.

The Unimog is a versatile truck. In addition to snow plow, fire truck, they can also cut grass, run farm implements, chip wood, power line maintenance. We probably haven't seen the end of it yet reappearing in CITY.

The fire boat hull was also used in the research boat if I am not mistaken. I think it could be a buy for Brickworld's boat racing in Chicago.

Oh, I'm sure it will. And the snowplow wasn't the first version too, but this version seems to fit the "rehashability factor" pretty well (as did that bog-standard truck-cabin that's been used numerous times). Don't get me wrong, I think they did a good job within the City-builcontrictions. In fact, the snow plow was a must have from the moment I saw it, just for that Unimog cab. But I've got so many firetrucks, that I think I'll pass on this one. Curious as to what the next iteration will be!

Oh my God, we get another police ATV :sceptic: , but this time with... a rollcage! Which doesn't make it better though. Looking at the pick-up from 60128 I wonder whether cars are going to become bigger and bigger. The rest of the police sets is nothing special, just some mash-ups of previous sets. The ballon as such is a nice feature though, but I never liked the part.

The fire brigade sets are quite nice except 60111, this type of vehicle (reminds me of 4208 Fire Truck from Forest Fire Brigade) just doesn't work with the trailer (and why should a radio mast/satelitte dish burn? It's certainly possible, but well...). Not sure why the Fire boat has to be a fire boat though, the swing arm construction looks like a crane at first sight but then it's just a water splash?

60114 Race Boat is cool, but there's nothing to race against. It was the same with the 60053 sports prototype and the F1 set, no competitors. Hopefully they come up with another boat with the next wave.

To me, the problem is that Lego is not being consistent with their scale on vehicles. The 6 wide car in the Police pursuit looks like it would absolutely dwarf the fire car in the Fire Station. They also did the same thing in the previous wave in 60045, which was just a massive truck compared to every other line in the series.

I'm liking the 60111 and 60112 (Fire Utility vehicle and Fire Ladder Truck), the speed boat is ok, but as for the rest……I'm hoping the Great Vehicles sets help to boost things a bit.

That Prisson island had real potential, but it's just another police station with a few rock pieces around it. For me it's just a shame we cannot purchase that hot air balloon as a stand alone set yet.

The large Fire Boat hull has potential for conversion into an Anchor Handling vessel, but that is about it.

I was hoping to see the Car Ferry, hopefully that image will be available soon

The Prison Island is really cool. I need it (Can you say "Harley-Balloon"?). The main cell is a little odd, but it's the most unique prison I've seen. Why did we need a new BURP?
