Bornin1980something Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Advent Calendar! But it looks kinda meh this year.... There is no crook! What's so meh about ice hockey, a hot food stand, and a remote 'copter? This is far better than, at least, my 2014 calendar. And who needs another uniformed crook? Quote
tafkatb Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 So... is that the only City set on display there? Quote
Robert8 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) Did you notice the difference between the box Xmas father and the built one in this picture ? The first has short legs and the second has classical legs ... ?! You're right! Santa has short legs there! And he has preckles! It's a kid disguised as Santa! What's so meh about ice hockey, a hot food stand, and a remote 'copter? This is far better than, at least, my 2014 calendar. And who needs another uniformed crook? I was joking about the crook.... But yeah overall it looks meh to me So... is that the only City set on display there? All the City sets were on display but already saw them Except the Advent calendar. There weren't pics of that one before Edited February 14, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Fun at the park is $40... I shouldn't be complaining, 14 minifigures is one less than 15, and that's how much minifigures are in the new hoth echo base which is $250. Quote
tafkatb Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I suppose $40 isn't too bad... still comes out to less than three bucks per figure, not even counting the actual brick-built stuff. I'm definitely getting it, probably even getting two. Quote
Rick Posted February 14, 2016 Author Posted February 14, 2016 You're right! Santa has short legs there! And he has preckles! It's a kid disguised as Santa! The parts are there. It's the head and the short legs from one of the kids playing ice hockey. Quote
BrickOn Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 ooo I like the snowman too, with the golden firefighter hat. More cops and robbers would have been boring, nice to change it up with firefighters. Now I just want a hospital theme to become a regular city theme and the one day with can have an advent calendar full of hospital workers :-p Quote
Boettner Builds Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 That looks like a normal sized head! Oh the possibilities!! Quote
paul_delahaye Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Can those Baby hands hold normal sized lego bar as well, the picture does not make this too clear? Quote
Actor Builder Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I'm guessing that the stud on it's head will not be able to attach to "studpits". I'm also guessing that the hands cannot hold normal bars. Perhaps they can grip the bottom of the flame pieces. They might be that size. Quote
El Garfio Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Advent Calendar! But it looks kinda meh this year.... There is no crook! I repeat, there is no crook this time! The crooks have moved to this Ninjago set Quote
Bricknblue Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I think the baby's hands can hold things that go into the Friend's hair and such. Quote
Japanbuilder Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I suppose $40 isn't too bad... still comes out to less than three bucks per figure, not even counting the actual brick-built stuff. I'm definitely getting it, probably even getting two. It appeals to me for sure! I want to get my citizen count way up! So this is set is obligatory for me. Currently have 20 cops, 19 crooks and a paltry 9 citizens. The rest of my collection is firefighters and one EMT. So this set will help level that out a bit. As the year progresses I hope to get the ratio to at least 2 to 1 in favor of citizen head count. Like you I may double up on this set. Quote
jonwil Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 The best thing about the city park set is the large number of new torso prints it has. And not only that, torso prints that look great and useful (as compared to some of the torsos in the Juniors line that aren't as useful in a City setting) Quote
Arctic_Ace Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) Does anybody know when the Fun at the Park set comes out? Edited February 17, 2016 by Arctic_Ace Quote
BrickJagger Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 . Can't say I agree, sorry. A clever argument, though. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 That Santa sleigh with the kid as santa and the busy is a neat little build. That baby head is really big, but he still looks cute. Quote
Robert8 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I don't think the baby hands can hold pieces Quote
Legocity2713 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) . Can't say I agree, sorry. A clever argument, though. Good point! Edited February 16, 2016 by Legocity2713 Quote
Blitzismydog Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 The baby head is definitely removable, and is smaller than a minifig head. Also, the neck is the diameter of a bar, so a minifig head won't attach to the body either. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 So you can attach the baby neck to a hand? Awesome! Quote
legonerd54321 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 So you can attach the baby neck to a hand? Awesome! I can see the anti-domestic violence MOCS coming in Quote
