Spectrum wise that pic bugs. Why ain't the Weldos and Electroids together?

Otherwise, daum(!) seeing that is tempting me to retry my mega mix max again

I'll probably get Splasho and Skulzy, and I want all of the Medix. I really like Skrubz for his Ghostbusters toyline vibe, and Tuth is just brilliant (pun not intended?).

I never gave the display that much thought actually! They're arranged in the order that the tribes came out, that's why the Weldos and Electroids aren't together here

I will admit that, as they are, they're already crammed in too much. I've already had to move all the Nixels off that shelf. I assure you that all 54 Mixels are there, even if a few of them are barely visible.

Nice! The Series 9 guys shape & construction are great...

but *meh* I *really* dislike the color schemes going on. :(

For me, one of the great attractive qualities of the first few Series were the strong unifying colors of each Tribe.

The Green trash guys look ok, but the lack of a unifying color that makes some kind of sense really hurts the Ninjas & TV guys imo.

It's especially annoying knowing there are still plenty of color options not even touched yet (pink in particular, a lot of pastels) & combinations of 2 colors that would work much better than these...

"mostly black" but some little bits or orange or blue & yellow combos that don't work well.

Mostly black is really boring.

I would much rather that the Ninja guys were entirely black with maybe just red masks/minor highlights - that would have worked better & made them pop more I think...

and I would much rather that the TV guys went easy on the black & used a nicer new color combo.

Oh well. I'll get 'em all cos I have all to date (& then some, lol, I have 3 sets of everything so far, so I can have each Mixel + every Max + a spare)...

but I might have to finally bow out next time round if 10,11,12 follow this model of not seeming to care so much for strong color use. :(

Of this years Mixels, I'm digging those dentist guys the most - *great* color use & really creative constructions.

Still waiting for some kind of "Plant/Forest" tribe (greens+browns+lots of foliage piece use)...

& some kind of "Sweet/Candy" (marshmallow pastels like pink & yellow) tribe.

FIngers crossed we see something like those someday! :)

It's probably just me, but I'm getting the feeling the MCFD Max might have a secondary form. The top of the head looks like the from of a truck and with the wheels on the limbs well..?

The Nindjas and the Newzers look pretty interesting in terms of build and parts, so I'm looking forward to them! The Trashoz beaver fellow however is probably the greatest of them.

I also like how the new Nixels are fitting to the theme of the Mixel tribes.

Hearing that not all of them will make it to Germany is really bad news for me though, as I live in Germany.

And for collecting them... the main reason as to why I collect Mixels is that they are great parts pack for Transformers MOCs (or brick-built robots in general), which actually led to me buying various Frosticons multiple times just to get specific parts.

Saw the newest series (whatever number we're on. I've lost count) at TRU. Sadly, they couldn't be purchased until February 1st, so just a bit longer.

I like my name for a ninja tribe better, the Ninjerks.

While a no doubt inspired name, for a creative childrens toy it might seem a tad bit excessive

I love the trash-themed Mixels and can't wait to pick them up! I've just started buying these and I'm sure my local stores will stock the new stuff, but I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for where I can find earlier sets. I've found as early as Series 3 in Targets and Walmarts around me, but nothing before that. I'm in the US. Any ideas on how to get ahold of Series 1 and 2?

Books a Million often has Series 2 a dollar higher from list price, I've seen. The store Second and Charles, a secondhand bookstore, also sells S2 at the same price.

Just found series 7 at my local Walmart which is surprising since they rarely get new Lego around the time its officially released. Grabbed Busto. Mixadel and Tapsy. Love all 3 of them and was surprised by Tapsy's build

Got all of series 7 yesterday. I'm not too interested in the max for the Mixies, but the other ones look cool. Instead, for the Mixies, I'm going to continue my tradition of warping absolutely every Mixel tribe into a dragon.

Now these I gotta see, particularly your Klinkers and Weldos ones

Klinkers became a sort of insect-pterosaurian creature with a buzzsaw tail, while the Weldos dragon got a trash compactor jaw, jetpacks instead of wings and a wrecking ball tail. I'll upload pictures soon.

Thanks for the reviews! It's especially good to learn that Paladum got these new joint pieces as well. I would've overlooked them without your review and thus skipped the lad entirely.

Also, just wondering, is it possible that Kuffs also got one of those new joints for his left arm?

Those reviews are fantastic! Great to clearly see all the details/pieces! :)

I just picked up a whole load of Series 6 Mixels from my local Tesco on sale for 75p each! Crazy cool value! Lots of neat ball joints & various handy bits right there!

I really must get around to trying to make some of my own Mixels sometime...

I'm really loving the first wave of Series 7... especially those Mixies! Really cool constructions & I dig the bright yellow/purple color combo.

That would've been nice, but he just uses the light grey piece.
