metulskie8 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Hello everyone... Here my MOD (WIP): Arocs 2043 4x4 Agro Mover ... Edited December 4, 2015 by metulskie8 Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Looks great. Looking forward to the daytime pictures. For lighter models my lowloader works fine. But the 42030 is definitely too heavy. Some improvement is needed on this... you'll have to wait some time, when i was able to shoot some pics it was already to late :( mine could have some improvement to but i'm working on that. Quote
Kman860 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Not sure if i can post this here but it's still a Arocs mod (WIP) Been working on this for a while now and I'm satisfied with the look for the Cab *snip* Looks pretty good Hello everyone... Here my MOD (WIP): Arocs 2043 4x4 Agro Mover ... *snip* I LIKE it! Quote
Dafgek81 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Very nice agro version, also like the colour, green is not much seen.... Quote

technicfan Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Can someone please help?, I am 3/4 the way through building my Arocs and when I went to test the crane it goes to the left fine then back to the center but when it goes to the right it gets to about half way then stops then struggles to get the rest of the way. I took my time doing the gearbox making sure everything was in the right place and the outriggers and pump work fine. Do you think it is the hoses underneath, I did struggle a little bit with the hose placement underneath and placing the crane on the truck?. Quote
higgins91 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I have the same probleme with A model but not with the B model. The hose placement are probably not the same. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 This is a really great MOCD I think it is both, so that's why... Excellent build, love those Agro stuff!!! Quote

metulskie8 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Looks awesome, could you post more pictures, please? Thanks. thank you ... if the Agro Mover is finished, I'm on an extra thread. Quote
Henkl Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Or you could open a thread now and call it a wip, work in progress Quote
Dafgek81 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Instructions planned for the agro version??? Quote
metulskie8 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Thanks for your curiosity ... but I do not believe in WIP Threads ... I wanted to show an intermediate stage and observe the reactions ... A guide is planned. but may take. at the moment are still too many "illegal parts" For all curious still there an image from the front... Quote

Dafgek81 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Metulskie8, Does your agro version use a lot of the same parts as 42043? I know the tires and colour of the cab are different Quote
metulskie8 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 the cabin is recreated in a part of the original ... Everything else is different ... Quote
Dafgek81 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Okay, but does it use a lot of the same parts as 42043 besides the cabin? Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Okay, but does it use a lot of the same parts as 42043 besides the cabin? Let's say, when it comes to chassis it's always a matter of beams, pins, axle….so I'm pretty sure everybody on here has a lot of spare ones! What I don't get is why do you always ask for instructions….I mean LEGO is all about being creative….so build up the Arocs cabin and then try to build your own chassis for it….no expectations…just have fun while doing it…and if doesn't work try again in a different way! Not everyone is able to design a good truck chassis with suspension from SCRATCH and within REASONABLE time... at least i'm not. I can heavily mod an already designed model if there is enough room within (so e.g. the Unimog 8110) but nothing more... at least i have not the time for alle try and errors... but nevertheless i like building and collecting interesting models and MOCs... therefore i can understand very well the question for instructions - to be honest i have often asked for myself - always have written it as a plea - which is not a reprobate plea IMHO - there is no pressure onto the designers, just a plea and a question - and i'm fully aware that making good instructions is a huge effort for which i'm always willing to pay. Yes, you are right, with enough time it can also be very funny to dig into a model without instructions and try to rebuild it just from pictures - i have done it for many Unimog attachments e.g. - and yes, it makes fun biut it simply costs to much time - and if the model is too complex then i would probably fail... Therefore i admit every designer here who is offering us such cool MOCs, sometimes really incredible MOCs - and i'm always very thankful if someone make this hige effort making instructions (this means also people like blakbird or afol1969 who are not designing for theirself but often makes this very helfpul - and often incredible good - instructions. Therefore to all instruction makers (regardless if photo BI or real lego BI): a big thank you from me! Quote
metulskie8 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 @dafgek81 I can not say whether the parts match you unfortunately. I do not have the Arocs. Only the cabin built partly for guidance. As such, it is more of an MOC. The chassis has no resemblance to the original. It is a completely different design. Quote

Listen, when I started 25 years ago I was the same, but trying hard and trying 10000 times I've got to a point where YES I do have enough skills to design a full suspended frame all wheel drive and much more than this! You are missing a point to me, it's not a challenge between us here, it's more like "hey we are a big family and we want to help each other", but in order to help each other you need to show something so we can give and receive advices on! Often Dafgek asks for instructions….I mean I couldn't enjoy Lego if I was only building from instructions…..just go and build something!! Quote
