July 17, 20168 yr Gentlemen, let's direct our attention back to the sets, shall we? Remember that the leaker of those screenshots said that they were from season 8, in the light of the recent news, he's probably right (if he counts the supposed special as a season). Anyway, the point is that we may see those new suits in the winter wave. The screenshots also showed two paintings. One seems to depict a battle with many Elemental Masters at Wu's Monastery, the other shows Kai's and Nya's parents, Elemental master of Fire and Elemental master of Water. We will probably hear more at SDCC soon, but I'm going to do a wild guess that the enemies for the season after "Day of the Departed" will be the former Elemental Masters. Or the Overlord.
July 17, 20168 yr I'm the only one who wants dragon villains? No, certainly not! Like dragon-human hybrids with a larger version of the Gargoyle wings, dragon scale samurai armour and huge weapons! And a full-sized evil dragon, of course ridden by the Emperor of Dragons, from the Dragon Realm... For clarity: I'm making that up, but man.... I'd love that!
July 17, 20168 yr I would love to see a season with amazing dragon creatures. Also an idea that sounds cool is the ninja getting their powers switched and having to battle their enemy with powers that are not theirs. Like Jay having the elemental power of fire and Kai having the elemental power of energy since he always wanted to be the green ninja. The color of the suits would be a mix of their original power with their new power.

The circumstances for something like that to happen are very specific. Maybe in a time-travel season, where the First Spinjitzu Master fought dragon villains? And the ninja have classic-90's Ninja-styled suits? Edited July 18, 20168 yr by gamejutzu

The ninja have gotten there powers taken numerous times, i really want them to exchange powers and keep it that way for a season!!! Those suits and there vehicals would be awesome!!
July 18, 20168 yr I dunno, I've seen 70588 at Target in Australia so it may depend on where you're living.
July 18, 20168 yr Author Imma take a shot in the dark here and say 70588, 70589, and 70590 will be exclusives. Target, Walmart, and ToysRUs respectively. Atleast here in the US. Edited July 18, 20168 yr by LegendsOfNinjago
July 18, 20168 yr I'm not sure if Australia Target DCPI numbers are the same as US DCPI numbers, but does anyone have the Ninjago ones? Thanks!
July 19, 20168 yr I'm not sure if Australia Target DCPI numbers are the same as US DCPI numbers, but does anyone have the Ninjago ones? Thanks! DCPI numbers are 'Item Codes', right? If so, the one for 70588 (the only set currently available at Target) is 59239796.
July 19, 20168 yr I'm gonna say that, due to Target's previous exclusives, I'd say that they'd get the medium sized exclusive set, as opposed to Walmart. In the last few Summer waves, Target has gotten Jay Walker One and Cragger's Fire Striker (both either the larger of two evenly priced exclusives between Target and Walmart, or the larger one in price and part count). Although it doesn't always apply to Lego, Target also leans more towards the "combo-pack-in-a-box" type toys, what with some of their Hasbro, and Mattel exclusives (and does anyone remember 9456-Spinner Battle Arena?). This would mean that they would get 70590-Airjitzu Battle Grounds, which applies to both criteria. Toys R Us is guaranteed 70596-Samurai X Cave Chaos as not only is it one of the only sets not shown at Toy Fairs, but it's also the largest of all the exclusives sets. Also 70595-Titanium Ninja Tumbler wasn't at the NY Toy Fair, so I'll assume that it's Walmart's exclusive. This is me just theorizing, but I think it's the most likely when all things are considered. July 19, 20168 yr Author I doubt that the Samurai X Cave Chaos is a store exclusive. The characters from 70596 round off the main cast while exclusives always add varients or non-main characters.
July 19, 20168 yr I don't know in other coutries but Samurai X Cave Chaos is NOT in newest Polish catalogue :(
July 19, 20168 yr DCPI numbers are 'Item Codes', right? If so, the one for 70588 (the only set currently available at Target) is 59239796. They're similar to Item Codes but take the form of 204-00-____ with the last four digits usually being the item, at least for LEGO items. Do you see a number like that on the Target price tag? Thank you! Edit: found it on the Target Australia site... No DCPI number in sight... :( I guess that they use a different system. Thanks anyway though! Edited July 19, 20168 yr by legozebra

July 20, 20168 yr Not to sound stupid or anything but what is the DCPI? Here's a snippet of what I said in a different thread: I've uncovered the Target DCPI codes for the summer sets. For those of you who don't know what that is, there's a site called Brickseek that checks the inventory of Targets near you. If you see that a new set is in stock, just ask an employee and they will retreive it for you. This is how, for example, I got 2016 sets in early December.
July 20, 20168 yr Author Your proof: Color me surprised. I find it crazy that Nya and Lloyd are only In an exclusive from TRU...with the exception of the Airjitzu Power Suit from a set that is also an exclusive from Target. Edited July 20, 20168 yr by LegendsOfNinjago
July 20, 20168 yr That also confirms, officially and unfortunately, that the Titanium Ninja Tumbler is also an exclusive.
July 23, 20168 yr Airjitzu Power Suit fam that isn't an outfit, it's a form. I doubt they'd change into that mid-airjitzu.
July 23, 20168 yr fam that isn't an outfit, it's a form. I doubt they'd change into that mid-airjitzu. I don't know, magical instant costume changes aren't unheard of in fantasy/superhero stories (Green Lantern, Miraculous Ladybug, Power Rangers, Sailor Moon, etc). I think you could make an argument that the NRG and Airjitzu ninja could be considered both special magical forms AND special magical costumes, since the costume appears to transform along with the ninja wearing it. Particularly in the case of the Airjitzu designs, there's a decidedly layered appearance to the minifigure as a whole, instead of their body and costume all appearing to be one material like in the NRG version. In the show, of course, the NRG forms just have the ninja in whatever they were wearing before but made to look like the ninja and costume alike have been converted into semi-transparent elemental energy, and the ninja don't get special forms or costumes at all when they do Airjitzu. Which is honestly kind of disappointing for me, since the NRG and Airjitzu minifigures are some of the coolest versions of the ninja, IMO, and you don't get to see so much of that in the show.
