Replied last page; they are the Airjitsu gis as per the show.

None of the suits have used those kinds of two-letter initials since 2012, so if they have a name it'll probably be a descriptive word like "Techno" or "Jungle" or "Elemental".

For now, I'm calling them "throwback suits". I'm sure that won't be the official name.

The only reason why I didn't buy the bounty (which I think is the best set ever) was it's size - 85 % of my cupboards are already filled with Lego..

Anyway; I don't get why we didn't receive any more information about the two missing summer wave sets until now (besides to price and name)?

Ah no its not a moc, I just meant the second version if DB which came out in the possession wave. But now you've suggested it that would be a great idea. Canabalising the parts from the dragon in that set and parts from the possessed samurai x mech could make something pretty ghostly. And perhaps the sails from the ship in the city of stix set. Maybe I can give it a try and post my results, right now though I'm too proud of how it looks in my lounge. I need to compress the photos to upload here.

As for the summer sets, I'm really liking the Zane tumbler, it pretty great as a small vehicle. But that lighthouse will go great combined with the tiger widow set.

My next purchase is going to be the kai dragon poly bag and the titanium dragon so I'll have a nice collection of dragons to go with my collection of mechs.

The minifigs I've been customising to go along with my display are in the airjitsu GI and the deepstone. My favourite body prints so far have been the deep stone suits. They look great along with the deepstone weapons attached to the backs

Hmm... People call the kimonos the KX or PWR outfits... But elemental robes or kimono suits work too, I guess.

It's just, what do you call a suit that's already appeared? Gi-Xtreme, because it's twice the gi?

I have bought way too much this last month. I got paid a couple of days ago and tiger widow island was an immediate purchase. Now though I caved and just ordered the temple of airjitsu... I think I just won't eat towards the end of the month. That should work out well

So i just checked out all of my Ninjago Figures and I'm only missing 1 figure (not including double characters like pretty much all of the ghosts from summer of 2016, and 2016 sets) and that character is Wrayth. So hopefully I'll be able to get a set with him in is soon.

But if you were to include 2016. (like you should) I'd be missing pretty much everyone but MonkeyWrench, Cyren, Dogshank, and Squify and all the ninja minus Kai and Zane. (bought most 3rd market)

His airjitzu maybe ? My son has them all (Pitch, Hackler, Soul Archer... it's like 19 of them with Loyd no ? but maybe some only appear in the cartoon...) but they feel kinda all the same to me, often mixing the same pieces, my main complaint with this awesome 2015 wave. Ninjago 2016 in that regard is a big improvement.

Most of the ghosts are variants on two or three common "ghost ninja" varieties, occasionally with mixed and matched parts. The four "ghost generals" (Bansha, Wrayth, Soul Archer, and Ghoultar), on the other hand, are unique, and all of them except Ghoultar come in two variants: one with unique printed legs, and one with a ghostly tail (Ghoultar only appears with a tail). Wooo from the battle pack is also unique for some reason.

I wonder if we'll get a battle pack this year, and if so what kinds of figures it'll include. And would it tie in with Skybound, or the subsequent story arc? It's tough to predict, what with Skybound sets continuing into the second half of the year.

I think for a kid it has some nice play features and for a display it looks pretty great by my TV. I love the palm tree

I guess it does look nice in display. But this set seems overhyped to me. It looks like it's just an island with an abandoned building beneath a cavern. While it is nice, I don't know why so many people are jumping to this like it's the Master Wu dragon or the Airjitzu Temple.

My guess, beside the good design (cute temple, high-grounds, NPU...) :

-the island is small, but it makes for a good figs/price ratio.

-plus the bigfig appeals.

-the summery/fresh look of the set is neat

-you got a base to play in, with 3 locations (a cave, a temple, a jungle path) and 2 (mini) vehicles, which make the set feels complete (like Wu dragon...)

and possibly : it's the only base in vehicle heavy wave, making it feel even more special ?

But I would argue Jay dragon and the Zeppelin got a lot of hype as well...

(and similarly the coming Watchtower Defence is very hyped for his good looks and good minifigs selection, 2 things very appealing to AFOL...)

There's six (potentially seven) reasons to get this set right there.

You would have to get The Green NRG Dragon, The Lighthouse Siege, and Samurai X Cave Chaos ($$$) in order to fulfill each of these reasons. Even then, you would still be lacking a masked Cole, Dogshank, and (potentially) an aviator variant of Sensei Wu.

Or to put things simpler, I would have bought this on day one had I not been behind on the Possession Wave of sets. It has the most going for it, aside from Misfortune's Keep, which is too expensive for a day-one purchase this time of year (in my book).
