Aanchir Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Yeah, loving Nya's throwback outfit. Lloyd's isn't bad either, though it's by far one of the plainest (no extra armor like on Jay's outfit, extra ropes like on Cole's, or extra belts like on Kai's). All it's got going on in the front are differently colored sleeves. But that's not totally bad since Lloyd never got a standard 2011-style outfit, so this sorta fills that niche (albeit with differently colored sleeves and back printing). The room looks nice too of course. Love how the bed's headboard is inspired by the Temple of Light set. I wonder if Ninjago-themed rooms will be coming to any of the LEGOLAND hotels in the U.S. It's probably safe to say that these versions of Nya and Lloyd will be the ones in the Samurai X Cave Chaos set. Skylor's "throwback" outfit might end up showing up in some promotional capacity. Maybe a polybag set like the Dareth vs. Nindroid polybag from 2014, or as the bonus fig in the updated Character Encyclopedia, or in a new Target holiday minifigure gift set. Quote
gamejutzu Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Maybe Skylor's outfit is in Airjitzu Battle Grounds? Also, that's not the first time we are seeing this. I saw that picture a month ago. Quote
Rookie875 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I got Jay's Elemental Dragon for 10$ off at ToysRUs and I absolutely LOVE IT. Everything is perfect except for one thing: the part of the wings with the flick fire missiles don't articulate. It might actually be one of my favorite sets of all time. I would definitely recommend it to any Ninjago fan. Quote

I hadn't seen sky bound when I built the set so I was completely cluless to the whole tiger widow venom plotline... But now I know, and knowing is half the battle. Quote

I loved how accurate small things like that are to the story! Also I figured that I should probably buy the Titanium Dragon. It kinda sucks because I already have all the characters but I figured I should probably have all the dragons! Quote

Now I have them all proudly stood on a couple of shelves... Except for the golden ninja mech. That is one elusive machine Quote
gamejutzu Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I already have all the characters Did you order Clouse separately? He's exclusive to that set. Also, my Target most likely has the Skybound sets now, since it is March. Should be picking them up soon. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 thanks to a small (and weak...) green ninja opponent vehicle, the Misfortune Keep has a very decent size, compare for example to the 50% more expansive Bounty : Quote
raarghh Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Heya! Just placed an order for 70738 Final Flight of Destinys Bounty, 70735 Ronin's R.E.X. och 70736 Attack of the Morro Dragon. I payed 223 Euros (2089 swedish crowns) for 2458 pieces and 19 minifigs, a nice price if you ask me. The design of the Morro Dragon is one of the best designed sets LEGO has ever made in my opinion and I have been a fan since around 1990-91. Now Im just missing 70605 Misfortunes Keep for my complete Ninjago display shelf but that is a buy for another day. Got some building ahead of me! Quote

Actor Builder Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 thanks to a small (and weak...) green ninja opponent vehicle, the Misfortune Keep has a very decent size, compare for example to the 50% more expansive Bounty I really like that wood in the background. Is it a table or the floor? It looks like the floor, but it would be a pretty dapper table. Sorry, don't mind the weirdo entering the Ninja discussion. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 They finally put doors on those hinges for the huge wall piece. Anyways, not a bad set. Quote

Maybe next month, now I have all of skybound and building the ToA as I type, I spend the next few months collecting through the backlog of sets I want thanks to a small (and weak...) green ninja opponent vehicle, the Misfortune Keep has a very decent size, compare for example to the 50% more expansive Bounty : The green ninja vehicle was my only real disappointment with misfortunes keep. MK has gone on my display shelf along with my bounty, but the green flying machine has been canabalised for parts. I am working on fitting the long rope and hook rig to the MK or bounty, like a zipline that can be fired Quote
ChristopheQ Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) I really like that wood in the background. Is it a table or the floor? a cheap but huge (exotic wood) table the green flying machine has been canabalised for parts. Same here, my 8 years old son didn't event build it... SmashCat9000 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Hey fellow LEGO Ninjago fans, I'm SmashCat9000 and I just joined this site. I main collect LEGO Ninjago sets so I will mostly be hanging out in this thread. Anyways, I don't know if this has already been shown here, but this official promotional video released by LEGO shows the ninja in their Season 7/Summer 2016 suits. Here it is if anyone is interested. Quote

I hope that's not an indication that the "throwback" costume for Nya won't in fact be appearing in any of the summer sets. Edited March 8, 2016 by Lyichir Quote

gamejutzu Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) What is it with the venomari these days? There has been three released in the same wave! I mean, the venomari are probably the most popular tribe, so that's understandable. Also, how would Lasha look with this character's torso? They look similar. _ the Misfortune's Keep has a very decent size, compare for example to the 50% more expansive Bounty : Try comparing it with the original Bounty? HoganPrime Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I've been looking at my Ninja Bikee Chase 70600 and I decided to remove the wheels from Nya's bike. It makes it look more like a Star Wars speeder bike and IMO visually better. What do you think? Quote

It makes it look more like a Star Wars speeder bike and IMO visually better. What do you think? I tried that too but didn't like the look. Maybe with a few modifications it could work? Unfortunatly the bike - as a bike - is very impractical, but it looks good for display. The thing that bugs me most is Nya's generic City face. That is just sooo wrong I know it has been mentioned before, but do we have information now about the minifigures included in the two missing sets? At the toy fair display they didn't show us all figures. So could it be possible that we get Skylor or throwback Nya in the temple grounds set? Quote

Yeah I want to change the front of the bike so it doesn't move up and down but definitely prefer it with no wheels. My main Nya fig has her with her hair piece and a blue bandana taken from a spare jay from the rebooted wave plus her light blue elemental sword, with the asajj ventress lightasber hilt So far I have seen: Titanium Tumbler Lighthouse Prison escape Lloyd's dragon Coles big car with nelson Ronin's mech Stealth raider (which I want bad) I've heard nothing else about the final two. I got my photos of the mentioned sets from the brick fan and brickset. Where did you get your news about the toy fairs and the missing two sets? I'd love a new skylor. I wanted to get her original but I wasn't too keen on the ToE wave and so far only have Coles plane and jays mech (will eventually get titanium dragon) Quote

Where did you get your news about the toy fairs and the missing two sets? 70590 Airjitzu Battle Grounds, 666 pieces, $59.99 70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos, 1253 pieces, $119.99 Nobody has seen 70590 on display, nothing is known about minifigs included. (throwback Skylor would be a very nice treat!). As for 70596, there is a drawn visual (do take it with a grain of salt!) on youtube. Minifigs include Pythor, Cryptor, Kozu, Yang, Wu, Nya and Lloyd. For pics and videos I have followed (other than those already mentioned) zusammengebaut, Toyark and FamilyGamerTV. I really hope some retailer accidently reveals the official images some time soon, but they are only due for release in August, almost five months away... ugh! The wait... Quote
