*cue "Airjitzu is Satanic" jokes*

Ha! Incidentally, I decided to look it up and I THINK that might be the first set with that part count. Other snicker-worthy sets are 7197 Venice Canal Chase with 420 parts and and far too many sets to list with 69 parts.

What could the possibility of getting a teen/adult purple ninja be? If LEGO actually plans to go anywhere with the figure, it could be good.

You know what? Personally, I really hope that doesn't happen. To be honest, I liked Lloyd more when he was "just a kid" and aging him up magically always struck me as problematic (and probably just done to bring his design in line with the depiction in sets). The last thing I'd want to see is them repeat that, so unless the TV show does a time skip of several years (aging the entire cast, rather than just lil' Nelson), I don't really want to see Nelson forced to grow up.

I didn't mean him drinking magic tea or something. Yes, kind of a time skip, maybe a montage of him in previous years building up to that time? So it doesn't feel cheap?

I'm wondering because everyone has some kind of purple ninja theory or fake screenshot online or something, so I wondered what he'd actually look like.

I am not even sure what to think about Nelson, his time in the show was limited. I personally don't think we need a new ninja just yet, instead I would like skylor to receive more screentime (does she still have her powers, I can't recall??). Though sure it would be cool having a purple ninja on the team and perhaps could start introducing a new 'team' style ninjago where people have their favourite team ups set in different locations and with different vehicle styles.

Plus here is another thing to remember, the skybound wave showed us that while TLG could be quite faithful to story in their set building (the syringe that comes with jays elemental dragon) they can also shy away and make something new (Lloyd's flying vehicle in the misfortunes keep set). So however nelson is presented in the next wave, until I see it happen in show I'll take it with a grain of salt

I didn't say I wanted him to be a ninja in the next season.

I myself would just like to see him as a grown up ninja in general. I mean, the purple ninja is legendary, you can't just leave him as a kid forever. Maybe i'd personally like to see him grow in... 2 seasons maybe?

I'd like for the show to actually have him grow, something Lloyd couldn't do.

Over time. Yes. This is something I'd love to see.

But... this a subject on the story, which should be discussed here.

I was just trying to justify the original question.

What I liked about the ZX suits were how you could have all this cool gear that was unique to each ninja. (the zukin suits don't really do that...)

So it would be interesting to see how the purple ninja's gear would look like.

See, this is kinda how I feel. For 1 season/release series, they were all super individuals, instead of being palette/symbol swaps for each other.

The new suits will combine the first two season's outfits. I guess we can rejoice.

Juts got my first 3 NINJAGO sets. Helped my 6 year old son build the Blaster Bike set, while I have the Chain Cycle Ambush and the Attack Of The Morro Dragon for myself. Also have two of the Kai's Dragon freebies from the LEGO store. Looking forward to building them all.

Did you go to the LEGO store to get them?

Because, if you went to a retail store like Target, you could have gotten the new, Skybound sets.

Lego stores also have the Skybound sets. But there are plenty of reasons to get older sets instead of newer ones. Older sets aren't going to be available for as long as newer sets. Older sets are more likely to be marked down. Or, y'know, they could have just preferred those older sets over the newer ones. I don't see why there's any need to second-guess someone else's purchases like that. :sceptic:

On another note, I picked up four of the Skybound sets at the Lego store over the weekend! I'm holding off on building them for the time being—it could be fun to build them while I watch the show, whenever Cartoon Network finally gets around to airing it in the U.S....

Oh yeah, I got Tiger Widow Island over the weekend too.

Really awesome set!

Lighthouse Seige is probably the only summer set on my list next to the Krpytarium Prison Breakout.

I never second guessed anything.

I assumed that since this was the user's first time getting Ninjago, they might not have been aware that Skybound was released. But yes, they could have preferred Possession sets over Skyboud sets.

You could just watch them online... Unless you want to wait until around next month or so to see it on TV.

Also... There's yet

I didn't even notice... That's two videos realeased in one day. In my opinion, it's not as good as the one I previously mentioned.

I must say, the last seasons are really amazing, some of the best Lego has ever done! I mean just look at some gems like Attack of the Morro Dragon, Misfortunes Keep, Destinys Bounty, City of Stiix, Temple of Arijitzu etc... tho I must say that I'm not that impressed with the summer 2016 sets if we look at what we have got so far.

Anyway, got two more sets to my Ninjago collection today, the 70734 Master Wu's Dragon and 70601 Skyshark.

Believe me, I've been watching them online. But I still like to watch my favorite shows when they air, as well. Not only is rewatching fun, but I like to try and make sure that the shows I like do well ratings-wise, so that the networks actually get an accurate idea of the number of people who are interested.

There's no problem with rewatching... It's just, why set dates to build what you already have on specific episodes you already watched?

Also, I never check ratings for Cartoon network's specific shows, unless there is a website to do that?

Do you guys think that this " rise of villains " story arc will continue next year? I sure do want it to continue as the new sets are kinda too pricey. They need to make another wave with cheaper sets.

I kinda of hope it goes on to the first half of 2017 and maybe we could get the overlord to return.

I dunno. It's just an efficient way to pace myself so that I don't build all the sets I bought within the first week. I have plenty of sets from other themes to tide me over in the meantime.

Also, I don't actually check ratings or anything, and I doubt me watching the show when it airs even makes that much of a difference (especially not for a show that's as successful as Ninjago), but it's the thought that counts. :sceptic:

Oh. I never get a lot of Lego, so I wouldn't know that feeling... :cry_sad:

The show probably got 3rd or 4th place in the KCAs, as they do not show rankings other than the winner... But hey, if one person thought it didn't matter everyone eventually would.

It purely depends on how Lego will be handling the marketing for the Ninjago movie.

If they really want to keep focus on the movie. They'll release sets that tie in with the previous wave, and possibly offer a sampler of the movie sets (like the Skybound/villain mix this Summer) in January or March.

However, to keep interest in Ninjago, whether movie or not, I can also see them producing only one season of the show in the Winter next year in order to devote the Summer wave purely to the movie.

The movie, will also surely have an effect on the Winter 2018 wave, unless Lego really wants to get the show back on the road. If they go for the latter, no doubt it will be a March release instead of January.

In typing those words, I came to the realization that Ninjago will mostly likely get a similar amount of sets as the Lego Movie, and I can't help but be excited for that!
