Sorry guys I tried uploading all th images from Amazon but try as I might this forum is not a fan of file sizes.

The backs of the boxes show more details on the new weapons. I need all of these sets now.

Edited to add that missing sets from Amazon are Zane's tumbler, battle ground and the x cave. But I am sure they will come soon enough.

Also I've had a look at the backs of the boxes and checked for weapons, the rise of the villains green weapons are almost all accounted for in the new images. Two however are not. We have seen though that the staff is in the x cave. I can only hazard a guess that the final weapon is in the tumbler set or airjitsu battle ground.

Haha final edit... Just checked the watermarked x cave photo again, the final weapon is there. Its a translucent green techno blade

So thee transluscents are in box order:

Jade blade

Snake staff

Elemental blade

Axe

Techno blade

Deep stone shuriken

@ NinjaJayNuva:

That would be the Winter 2017 wave, and then we'd get the movie sets. Seems to work out. Now let's hope they give us a lengthier season to justify that.

EDIT: The quote button isn't working. This will have to suffice.

I'm not a Ninjago fan, so I'm probably missing the point or something, but this set looks..... well..... not good

Is it just me?

No, it's not just you. Although I do like many of the sets in the summer wave, this one to me is the worst of the lot. I think that people who like the set tend to like it on the basis of it being a $25 set that comes with 5 minifigs. The 2 builds themselves aren't very good or original for that matter. It's like a poor man's Spinjitzu Dojo from last year's winter wave.

But that build was much better and you still got the 5 minifigs including 2 elemental masters. Oh well, I won't be getting this one, but as the saying goes "they can't all be gems".

This set will probably sell well though, since it is the lowest price point set, will appeal to kids as a base/playset and comes with a lot of minifigs.

The appeal here is mainly minifigs. Captain Soto. Build wise.. Really not great but it isn't bad at all. Probably a good part donor for MOCs. It has a hidden mini toilet build too. :p

Nope, I'm not a fan of it either. The only feature of the build that is a little interesting is the phone area; the gate isn't impressive at all and the rest looks like a below-average City set.

The minifigs are a mixed bag as well: I don't care for the (generic!) guard, Soto and the Stone Army warrior are much-wanted characters, but their prison torso and legs are useless to me. (I can MOC something for them, but that's not the point) Inclusion of Kai is quite nice and I'm glad Zane gets titanium hair, and, being a white ninja, his torso may be useful. I hope the map is printed, that would be a small extra plus too.

But overall, an ugly odd one out in this brilliant wave!

That said, this will be an expensive Ninjago year! I recently bought the Raid Zeppelin and from the summer sets I will certainly pick up the Rock Raider, The Green NRG Dragon and The Lighthouse Siege, all of which are just fantastic! Not sure about the Ultra Stealth Raider yet, not before the reveal of the Airjitzu Battle Grounds set anyway.

Kryptarium Prison Breakout is not even a $25 set, it's a $20 set. With that in mind its somewhat meager size is fairly understandable.

Architecturally, I don't think it's awful. The sliding gate looks nice, as do the prison cells. But there's just not a whole lot there.

I feel you, building wise it's kind of a mix of those

To be honest there is quite a lot of details, but the ultra basic color scheme of the building and the minifigs don't help...

For 5$ more and 1 fig less, I still prefer 70756

But if you compare to the 20$ 2508, you get less playability, but much better figs...

I used to like the set a lot, however, upon closer inspection, I agree with you. There's not much unique in the designs. It's a miniature City Police Station though, which honestly, I don't see much of at all. Of course, there's the Ninjago flare to it.

I used to think the value was great until I realized that the five minifigures for $20 isn't that good. I would say that $20 sets usually only have three figures. However, the two extras they have here are very common - that version of Kai comes in another $20 set (the Bike Chase), and the police man uses extremely common pieces.

I guess if you want to recreate the scene from the show it's alright. I heard it's accurate to that, though Soto is supposed to have a hook from what I heard.

Kryptarium Breakout is a good set just because of minifigures:cheap Stone Warrior ( albeit in prison robes), Soto(unfortunately also in prison robes), Kai with new armor piece(right now cheapest way to get this shoulder pad is 30$), nice new torso for Zane( more importantly Zanes hairpiece in silver) and a generic City policeman( would have preferred to get a Warden instead of him). The build is meh, but that's not what you'll buy this set for and Lego knows that. This set is similar to City set Fun in a Park which has a ton of minifigures but not that many builds. In my opinion Kryptarium Breakout is good set for what it offers.

I'd get it if it were $20. Didn't know it was $25 now :sceptic:

As much as I'd love all the sets, the one I need the most is the Lighthouse. That is just.. amazing.

I'm not a Ninjago collector so hopefully Nexo knights will follow with some buildings in 2017, that lighthouse looks fantastic.

Also like the NRG dragon is one of the best lego dragons I've seen, looks like actual brick built instead of large pre molded pieces and the proportions are very nice. The Catapult looks nice too, has a bit of a classic castle look to it.

I just don't want to collect more then 1 theme right now (), and mixing themes is not really my thing with such vastly different color schemes and minifigs.

The green nrg dragon looks fantastic! But the fact that I almost just spent $500 on Lego...I just don't know. Can someone help me out here?

Is that evil Wu in one of the sets?

That's Sensei Yang.

Well, maybe Samukai and Morro will appear in "Airjitsu battle grounds"

Possibly, as Toy Fairs do not show off minifigures for store exclusives.

Also, to chime in with an opinion on the Kryptarium Prison Breakout, it has 4 unique minifigures, one of which is inaccurate (Soto needs a hook).

Other than that, the set is somewhat lackluster compared to what it could of been. It's a prison after all.

To be honest, I'm not even that disappointed with the Kryptarium prison set. What more detail could it even have without feeling repetitive? The set is basically the bare minimum necessary to set the scene, but as far as I'm concerned that's a good thing. I don't see the need to build a whole wall of identical cells when one or two will suffice. The gate in the set is quite a nice-looking little build, as well, without breaking the bank.

The lack of a hook on Soto is a shame, but not really a game-changing issue. It'd be easy enough to give him a hook if you so desired.

The prison has some minifigs I want. Honestly I would have liked not getting yet another kai, I have so many of his fig from skybound, but the hair piece for Zane, stone warrior and soto make this purchasable for me. Its not a must have though, so I'll probably pick it up after I've gotten all my desirables out of the way.

Lighthouse is definitely purchase number one

Woah! I haven't noticed but there is a glorious new ornament piece used on lanterns!

I really wish there was just a "new piece spotting and plotting" topic where we could say "I spotted this glorious new part, and here are cool ways I'm thinking about using it" - in the vein of NewElementary's content. Because that can be a highlight of high quality set pictures releasing, for me.

If we're talking about 70594, there is a one by one3024.JPG rounded end 32124.JPGbar element60478.jpg attaching the pagoda points,

and there's that dangly chain piece you mentioned (I didn't realize it was a pendant, at first I thought I was looking at a studs out short chain, that made me think updated nunchucks were happening),

And I'm not sure what's under the tiny cannon 15403c01.jpg, looks like another 1x1 modified, but square, with either the mini ball-and-cup ball, or a somewhat spherical decoration, EDIT: in the box picture, clearly the common 2 sided closed ring, modified 1x1

and there's a second size of dragon wing i hadn't spotted until 41178...

70589: is this piece back? 71075.gif I mean, I have to assume I'm misinterpreting that.. Anybody know what we're actually looking at there?

Well, maybe Samukai and Morro will appear in "Airjitsu battle grounds"

I like this idea. If they do, I know which set i'm buying.

Lord Garmadon trading card in the lighthouse seige.

Those eyes though

Samukai and Morro may appear in the second wave of the summer season, who knows... After all, what is there, like 4 sets from the summer season?

I noticed that Nelson has a Kendo Cole trading card as well. I like how they're doing this whole card thing starting from the Temple of Airjitzu.

It's a very nice touch. Which card prints have they released?

Sensei Wu, jay with the temple of airjitzu. Cole with nelson, and garmadon in the lighthouse
