azog Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 One thing I will ask is that people in Europe need to review these sets! I have to wait till August so I would like to see the sets in great detail Quote
TheBrickPal Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Don't worry; Brickset's got some stuff lined up from me. Quote
ReZourceman Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Hmmmmmmm. Off work on Friday. Might go to the LEGO store and buy some. Thinking X-Cave and Lighthouse or Tumbler/Rock Raider thing. I can't get all in one go (getting married soon...need to dedicate a looottttt of money to that). Difficult choices. Quote
azog Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Get the lighthouse and x-cave first! They look the coolest for sure Quote
Thelegomaster Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I'd say get Rock Raider, Tumbler, and/or the Raider. Quote
HoganPrime Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Decisions decisions... Cave into the urge to buy first Lego train set, oooor get the lighthouse and tumbler. This is too difficult. First world problems Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 If I had the money, I would get the X-cave. Sadly, I'll have to restrict myself to the Tumbler and Kryptarium. Quote
Exetrius Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Product animations are up: (Just picked a few that I like) Quote
PenPlays Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Along with those videos, there was a TV commercial for the Stealth Raider. It features the Samurai X Cave Chaos set as a part of its product collection... ...Exclusives sets are never featured in TV commercials. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Wait Airjitzu battle grounds has an airjitsu Nya? Man there really making it hard for me to collect every Nya minifigure this year. I already got Skybound Nya from winter. Now I need Rotv Nya 2 battle pack samurai x's and airjitzu Nya. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I'll review the Ultra Stealth Raider. The Lighthouse looks great, and some of its minifigs make me drool of envy Quote
makoy Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) I'll review the Ultra Stealth Raider. The Lighthouse looks great, and some of its minifigs make me drool of envy I decided to get the Lighthouse first... See how my budget goes. I may buy some smaller sets like the Tumbler. Im in mobile now and I am tempted to play the video... But they have to wait until I get back home. I find it puzzling that both Nexo Knights and Ninjago are coming out at the same time in my region for 2H even if NK is just out for 3 months. I saw the NK sets in Singapore already and Samurai X is advertised as TRU exclusive in Malaysia. Edited May 30, 2016 by makoy Quote

I have to wait till August so I would like to see the sets in great detail Did I miss anything? So will we get the sets earlier in Europe? Last year I was suffering because I had to wait until mid August.. This year however we (in Germany) got pretty much every line first.. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 Anyword on online availability. Ie The Hut or Amazon or some online toyshop that'll ship them to the US? Quote
azog Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Anyword on online availability. Ie The Hut or Amazon or some online toyshop that'll ship them to the US? That would be awesome if some of the stores could ship to the US Quote
gamejutzu Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) Its a little strange how everyone considers the graphic novel to be the first appearance of the phantom ninja. Did everyone here get into Ninjago in 2014?? Didn't he first appear in Cole: Ninja of Earth? Y'know, where Cole tricked all of the ninja, and the phantom ninja tricked Cole? Hmm... You know what's interesting? The phantom ninja first appeared in a book about Cole. And then Cole was the spotlight character in a book about the phantom ninja. It's kind of funny. Also, aren't the comics non-canon? I always assumed that the original books (___ ninja of __) may as well be what happened inbetween the first episodes, as it looks like it would have fit right in with the show at the time. Oh well, at this rate, either there are two phantom ninja, or LEGO is ignoring the first one... Edited May 31, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 That would be awesome if some of the stores could ship to the US Amazon.uk will for most things and TheHut.com will. I bought the Ronin Rex from the Hut and the DB from Amazon.uk last year, the shipping was a bit much but to get them months before they arrived in the US, I was thankful Quote

Oh well, at this rate, either there are two phantom ninja, or LEGO is ignoring the first one... There have been two phantom ninjas in the books, both being distinct characters from one another. And as far as I'm aware neither the graphic novels nor the chapter books are any more canon than the other—neither is "as canon" as the show itself. The reason everyone has been referring to the one from the graphic novel is that visually, the one on the screen in the Samurai X Cave matches that specific character design, whereas there has never been any visual depiction of the one from the original chapter books. HoganPrime Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I visited the new Lego store at shanghai Disneyland today (largest Lego store in the world apparently). Sadly they didn't have the new ninjago sets and had no idea when they would arrive. So for the moment I am not on the new summer sets binge... Quote
