ReZourceman Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I really like the Lighthouse. The inside is a little sparse however its got some great details, great minifigures and a decent amount and it looks fantastic on the outside. If you actually want it, I can't imagine you'd be disappointed. Quote
Lyichir Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 So... what does this 'incorrect' head wrap look like for Cole? If it's not his, then who's is it? The one people describe getting is Cole's from the Possession and Skybound waves: Black with Dark Grey bands around it, rather than Dark Grey with Black bands around it like the new Cole is supposed to have. Thelegomaster Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I received both the Misfortunes Keep and the Rock Roader as gifts, both wonderful sets. The Rock Roader however, had the wrong headwrap, so I ordered a replacement. So I am guessing this is gonna be the next Wall E or Ant Man set where there is a major recall? Quote

Both of those sets were recalled because of structural deficiencies—the inability to hold a pose or support the model's weight, and they were recalled specifically so that they could add parts and modify the instructions to rectify the error. A miscolored headwrap, even if it's a widespread issue, does not cause any problems for the set's durability or playability, and as such I don't know if it'd be a big enough issue to provoke a recall. Ah, alright, I'm sure they will be fixing it for future Rock Roader sets though. That's so strange though.EDIT: Apparently it's happening to the Stealth Raider too, yikes... Master_Data Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Anyone have this yet? I'm wondering about the quality of the Zane and Nya figures (and any new face prints under the masks). Quote
Aanchir Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Anyone have this yet? I'm wondering about the quality of the Zane and Nya figures (and any new face prints under the masks). leninjamarron on Flickr has an album of photos here. The figures look pretty good. Both Nya and Zane have new face prints. The biggest drawback I see is that Nya doesn't have back printing, possibly because she's the only one of the four figs with two face prints. Quote

I have it. I believe both are new prints....LOVE the Samurai X. Ah screw it, I'll film a quick video.... Oh beaten to it haha. Edited August 1, 2016 by ReZourceman Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Structural deficiencies... wait, that reminds me of something... oh, yeah. Wasn't one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets briefly pulled from shelves because it kept falling apart? I think it was The Shellraiser Street Chase, but I'm not completely sure. Quote
gamejutzu Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) Anyone have this yet? I'm wondering about the quality of the Zane and Nya figures (and any new face prints under the masks). It actually looks really cool. The face quality for Zane and Nya are top notch with new faces, and i'm happy we get two normal looking face prints for Nya. What I wonder, is are we going to get any Day of The Departed sets with Morro and Samukai? Or will they just appear in the show. If the halfsies theory I heard turns out to be true, then we may never see their new revamped editions. Unless they're in Hands of Time, which would actually be possible since they were both alive in the time period the season takes place in. Edited August 2, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote
PenPlays Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Anyone have this yet? I'm wondering about the quality of the Zane and Nya figures (and any new face prints under the masks). Owning them, I can say they are of ordinary minifigure quality (that's a good thing). May just be the finest Samurai X yet! The Pirates are also lovely as well. What I wonder, is are we going to get any Day of The Departed sets with Morro and Samukai? Or will they just appear in the show. If the halfsies theory I heard turns out to be true, then we may never see their new revamped editions. Can we just make halfsies an official term within the AFOL lexicon? Unless they're in Hands of Time, which would actually be possible since they were both alive in the time period the season takes place in. We don't know the time period it takes place. All we know is that it involves Kai and Nya, and that the story will involve their parents. That's it. Will this mean we get some Ninja parents finally? Depends. I will remain open to anything new for the series. Quote
benderisgreat Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) Just got Kryptarium Prison Escape set and it's much better than I originally expected! It's much more than good minifigures. Minifigures are good: Zane with titanium hairpiece, Captain Soto( unfortunately in prison robes), and Giant Stone Warrior ( also in prison robes, unfortunately), Kai with shoulder armor in 20$ set! The prison build is much better than I expected: prison cells for Zane and Soto are good builds, and the entrance door is great as well. Overall this set is more than worth 20$, haven't seen that great of a value in 20$ Ninjago set for a long time! Now to get Lighthouse and Samurai X Cave sets... LegendsOfNinjago Posted August 2, 2016 Author Posted August 2, 2016 I love how the creators of Ninjago are bring back charcters that are relevant to the series so they can be put in the sets. I.e. Soto, the Giant Stone Warrior, the little robot in the lighthouse. I also hope this is a trend because i'd love to see the Elemental Masters. Also, i was just thinking about this but what if Garmadon comes back as half evil, half good and has design elements from both Lord and Sensei versions...that would be sweet! Quote

No problems gripping accessories, no overly loose/overly tight head-neck grip? Quote

Set-wise, I think Garmadon's return would be sweet, in all cases (plot-wise, I'm not sure). I'd love a Lord-Sensei evil variant, btw! Quote

The Nexo Knight Figures also have no issues either (aside from being bland, but that's okay, as they're army builders). Quote
HoganPrime Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Does anyone think that Zane's titanium hair piece is a little too loose? Unlike the rebooted hairpiece variant which fixes to the minifig well, this silver one comes up very easily. Specifically I am talking about the hair piece from Zane's tumbler, I haven't got the prison escape yet Quote

DuckBricks Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 (edited) Unfortunately Prison Escape's hair also fits very loosely . Can confirm... Don't know why though, as changing the mold makes no sense... Maybe it has something to do with the paint? Edited August 4, 2016 by legozebra Quote
MasterofElements Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 This entire situation is very interesting. People receiving the wrong Cole mask in both the Stealth Raider and the Rock Roader, and now a small molding error in the new Zane hair. I wonder what manufacturing error is next... Quote
Boogly22238 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'm tempted to buy the Rock Roader just to see if I get the wrong mask. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'm tempted to buy the Rock Roader just to see if I get the wrong mask. i wouldn't do that if i were you. I'm sure it will get reported to lego, and it'll be another antman final battle set situation where they fix their mistake. Quote

Pretty sure the plastic used for the small, detailed, silver-colored pieces in most sets these days is different than the traditional ABS. Edited August 4, 2016 by Penkid11 Quote
