Exetrius Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 There's a new Zane coming out as well, with a plain, unprinted silver Titanium Ninja headwrap. Hoping to find that before I return to the states! https://flic.kr/p/LccXcK Oh, that's nice! Quote
HoganPrime Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 The worst thing about being in China is that it is so hard to get your hands on the promotional packs and minifig packs. Taobao is the best place to get them but that marketplace is littered with crappy fakes and jacked up prices half the time. It makes completing collections tough. Quote
Aanchir Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Just found out today that LEGOLAND Florida is doing a charity drive this weekend, and if you donate ten or more of the most needed school supplies from their list, you get a copy of the Sky Pirates Battle polybag with exclusive Cyren minifigure. This is the first I've heard of this polybag being available in the United States, though I'm sure it won't be the only opportunity to get it. Still, just wanted to get the word out to Ninjago fans who live near LEGOLAND Florida! Quote
ReZourceman Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 WOW! That Zane is incredible! That's the best Magazine freebie yet. Quote
gamejutzu Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) https://flic.kr/p/LccXcK Golden arrows? Have we gotten those before? Also, I got the Titanium Tumbler. It's a nice build, and I do like how the detachable flyer is also armor on the sides. I also like how Zane can pretend to be a Nexo knight using the the white shield piece with his emblem on it. This is also the first time I've actually used several stickers. I really used all of them except the ones for the side launchers. I didn't use the one for the huge engine at the top, i'll find another piece to apply it to. Zane's throwback outfit is also the best one in my opinion, behind it are Jay, Lloyd and Nya. It's also cool to get hair for Zane. I tried to have Zane sport just his head piece w/ hair and no bandana, but it looks really strange on him and his facial expressions just didn't go well with it. So what I did was I just gave Throwback Zane the 2011 mask and used the titanium hair on Deepstone Zane, which is a much better fit. Deepstone Zane's face is less thin anyway, and his silver hair goes well with the outfit. The set was also a neat way to get two Nindroids. Now Cryptor has a royal guard instead of being a solo nindroid. Really, the only shame is that we didn't even get one Nindroid mask. But nothing too bad. Oh yeah, and I wanted to save that neon techno blade piece for Cole, since I never picked up his colored piece. So I just revised the emerald weapon into a saw (the black piece) attached to the chain with the jewel under the saw. So a chain-saw-hybrid Then for another weapon I attached the green venom drip piece to the black hilt, and attached that to the techno blade, which resembles Zane's techno blade. Ironically I gave it to Cryptor. Edited August 20, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote

LegendsOfNinjago Posted August 24, 2016 Author Posted August 24, 2016 Got my Lighthouse in thr mail today, and to be honest I was a bit disappointed. The biggest selling point to be was the build it self, Echo Zane and the little robo dude. The rest of the minifigs were redundant and there are sooo many play features it actually upset me. Mind you most of them arr easily removable, but its still, its a bit overkill. But gutted anf MOD'd a bit i think the light house will be great! Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) Has anyone gotten the new minifig pack yet? I did earlier this week and it's amazing! Zane's face printing goes all around the side and back and it looks great. Nya has her Samurai X goggles she had in Season 2 which is a nice touch. These packs are really fantastic and a great way to get some detailed minifigs, hopefully they make more! Edited August 24, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote

In general it's a huge improvement over similar blister packs in the past which only featured one or two unique figs, if that. I hope this sort of strategy continues—the Minecraft skin packs seem to follow a similar formula, and it makes a huge difference between a pack that is a "maybe" and one that is a must-have. Quote
gamejutzu Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I hope they continue making paradox-type characters, like Tournament Zane and Lloyd DX. It's cool to see completely original variants. Nya has her Samurai X goggles she had in Season 2 which is a nice touch. I just realized that those were in the show. And that she never had goggles in her 2011 minifigure. It looks like they went the actual mile and copied the visor. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted August 26, 2016 Author Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) Anybody else notice the Airjitzu Battle Grounds is $99.99 on the Lego US shop at home site? Thats not the actual price is it? Also its $119.99 @ TRU?! I thought it was a Target exclusive. Edited August 26, 2016 by LegendsOfNinjago Quote

obsidianheart Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Passed up a Misfortune's Keep for $20 off at the beginning of the week and now it's back up to full price and I'm kind of kicking myself. Quote

Exetrius Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I picked up the stealth raider yesterday and I an taking my time to build. Its fantastic, really enjoying the build Exactly the same here! I picked one up yesterday as and I built it today. I wholeheartedly recommend it to.. eh, basically any System fan? Here's why: - It looks bloody amazing! This is not your standard offroader buggy; it has blasters, rocket engines, blades, two-person-fitting cockpit and a drill, beat that! - It has a fantastic and unusual parts selection, which make for an outstanding building experience. - Great play value, especially with the independent suspension, six-stud gatling gun/drill function when pushing the rear down. The removable turret/rocket engine flyer is nice as well (I think kids would love it). The small outpost (luckily) has a minimal part count, but it does its job well and still looks appropriately detailed. - Stone army soldiers, a purple ninja and a superb version of Cole, big yes to that! This is a great review of a great set, but the person you're replying to was talking about the Ultra Stealth Raider, not Cole's Rock Roader. The Ninjago theme has been pretty solid in general this wave, especially when it comes to vehicles. And if this is what we get on short notice when the movie gets delayed a year, I can only imagine what kinds of sets they're planning for when the movie actually comes out... Quote

HoganPrime Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Oh wow, silly me! Haha no need for that language. I also have the rock roader? Is that the name? And you're right, its such a great vehicle. A nice combination of all of Cole's past vehicles brought into one. Great play features and I always love pushing it up and down on my coffee table. As for the ultra stealth raider. It is fantastic. I loooooove it Quote
gamejutzu Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 (edited) I imagine the ninja won't be getting vehicles next wave, except maybe a little glider or mech. It would be strange to have more vehicles for HoT, since this wave is much more vehicle-y than most other waves we've seen. More next time would be overwhelming. I guess the fresh air for next wave are the enemy vehicles and maybe the dragon. Especially since pretty much all the vehicles were for the ninja, as Day of The Departed is basically the real Ninjago anniversary. Edited September 2, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote

Skybound was very heavy on enemy vehicles. Honestly though I have no idea. I just want more stuff haha Quote
