TPLSTER21 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Hmm....interesting that set descriptions are out this early (on TRU.ca for Ninjago and other lines). Either it's an error on the retailer's part, or it could mean that a retail release of the sets is coming sooner than we thought (October listing = November-December release). I don't recall TRU jumping the gun with Lego before and having to take stuff off their site. But I say this is probably an overzealous admin person putting the set data on the site too early and those descriptions won't be up too much longer. But, if the descriptions aren't taken down in, say, a week or if they are joined by set pics then I guess the sets will hit retail before Christmas - which will make my son and I very happy! Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Yeah, that is interesting given this line was said to be out this coming march. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Not very good minifigure counts throughout the sets. I'm really interested to see nadakhan and Dogshank. Sets look good, although not impressed by two minifigures in half the sets. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) I wonder if Nadakhan is a Ghost Pirate. P.S.So the female pirate isn't Toxikita, but a girl named Cyren who's Jay's set and wasn't there supposed to be a new Ninja ? Edited October 20, 2015 by Dr.Cogg Quote
PenPlays Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) Yeah, that is interesting given this line was said to be out this coming march. In 2015 both waves came out two months early in Europe (January and June, as opposed to March and August in the US). All territories would be provided with the information for these sets regardless if they were coming out in January or March in time for the European release. 8BrickMario Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Sci, if your able to can you draw the pirate flyer in Misfortunes Keep, also I wonder if Nadakhan is a Ghost Pirate. P.S.So the female pirate isn't Toxikita, but a girl named Squiffy who's in 2 sets and wasn't there supposed to be a new Ninja ? I think drawings would be crossing a line, as of the Nexo Knights previews he drew. A minor correction: Sqiffy has no "u" in it, because it's pronounced like "skiff". Quote

I think you guys can just wait for the rest of the 2016 lineup to leak, it's gonna happen pretty soon. Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) It is October hopefully it's in the next 2 weeks or so. Also what do they mean by wos element? Edited October 19, 2015 by Falconfan1414 Quote

No, I'm pretty sure the Toxikita look minifigure is called Cyren, who only appears in Jay's elemental dragon. Quote
Aanchir Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Feel I ought to share that next year there's going to be an updated edition of the LEGO Ninjago Character Encyclopedia. It's about time, considering that there have been more characters this year alone (57) than there were in the original character encyclopedia (55)! Counting the 16 minifigures we now know of from next year's sets and the Stone Armor Kai we know is coming in this year's Target minifigure cube, we're up to 158 Ninjago minifigures total, excluding minor variants of the same character designs. Quote
gamejutzu Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 All of the pirate minifigs are probably gonna look lame, unless all of them dress up in their own unique style with the pirate logo on. However, Nadakhan Will be interesting. If all the ninja dress similarly to Kai (they will), then I don't see a reason to pick them up, as they look too similar to the deepstone armor versions. I think they will, since Zane only appears in one set. So if there's two outfits, why none for him? So in conclusion, i'm probably only gonna get one of these. Don't see a reason to get more, except the set design (hence why I said maybe one). Quote
Exetrius Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Thanks Aanchir! Wonder what figure we get this time. Since Stone armour Kai is coming, maybe Stone armour Cole, I'd love to see that! Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted October 20, 2015 Author Posted October 20, 2015 And Jay to polish off the suit line. Quote
Exetrius Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 And Jay to polish off the suit line. Exactly! Well, the characters included in the past (chronological order) are Kimono Lloyd, Rebooted Zane and the recent Wu in yet-to-be-named robes. Lloyd and Zane were both released during a season in which they were the highlighted character, whereas Wu is an obscure character to some extent with not that much focus in last season. Is there a tendency towards inclusion of more obscure characters? - With three versions this year, Wu is pretty much ruled out. - Zane has had a lot of focus allready. - Same thing for Lloyd, although it has been about two years since he was the real star of the show. - Nya's popularity has undoubtedly increased last season among the target audience, but not enough, probably. So, what characters could be in the run? Kai is very popular, Cole has turned into a ghost last season and Jay could turn into a pirate in the future. But maybe we will get a badass villain for a change, or a Elemental master (Ash please!). Quote
Mandate Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Seeing as the box art is of Jay... why not Stone Jay as the character? Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted October 21, 2015 Author Posted October 21, 2015 Yeah! I mean I still don't understand how Lego managed to not put the Stone Suits in last years summer wave, but it still baffels me that they haven't reconciled the problem. Not having 3 of the suits is leaving a huge hole in my collection. Quote
Mandate Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 They probably didn't do it because of budget reasons, and I would imagine Cole not showing up would have been a factor in some strange way. Quote

Not having 3 of the suits is leaving a huge hole in my collection. This year's Target-exclusive minifigure cube will include stone armor Kai, just as last year's included Lloyd DX. So soon it will just be two of the suits that we don't have. I wouldn't call Sensei Wu an obscure character. In fact, I'd identify the Ninjago theme's main characters as the six Ninja and Wu. I think any exclusive figure we get in a book is likely to be one of those seven. Some books from other themes like Friends, Legends of Chima, and Star Wars HAVE started delving into more obscure characters, though, so maybe Ninjago is next. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 The set descriptions for Ninjago (and it looks like the other themes as well) have been removed from Toys R Us Canada's website. Looks like an over zealous TRU staffer entered them on the site prematurely. Pretty much what I figured since no other retail outlet anywhere in the world has posted set descriptions/photos yet. Will be interesting to see just when we will get set pictures and when they will be released at retail. December at the very earliest I imagine or more likely next February - March given the official January 1, 2016 launch of Nexo Knights. Quote
just2good Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Yeah, I'm pretty sure these'll come in March. Quote
PenPlays Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Yeah, I'm pretty sure these'll come in March. I think Sci confirmed that March was the release date. Makes sense, since LEGO is probably going to promote Nexo Knights like crazy. Like bigger than Chima crazy! Quote

Aanchir Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Somebody brought up in the TV show topic that a listing for an upcoming LEGO Ninjago activity book confirms that Nadakhan, the sky pirate captain, is a djinn. So it's probably safe to say that he is the four-armed minifigure who uses a ghost tail element, but he's a djinn, not a ghost. Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Now THAT sounds like my kind of figure. Four-armed Djinn...must-have. Quote
