Aanchir Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 We now have a cover for the British edition of the activity book "Sky Pirates Attack", but the minifigure is just Jay in his Jungle robes (just as this year's "The Hour of Ghosts" activity book and "World of Ninjago" guide book just included Kai and Cole in their Techno robes). Kind of peculiar, since the "Tournament of Elements" activity book earlier this year DID have a Sleven minifigure. So unless something's changed, it's not like including a current minifigure in an activity book isn't possible. We also have a preliminary cover of the new Character Encyclopedia, but it's probably subject to change between now and the date of release. I'm particularly excited for that since it promises "an EXCLUSIVE brand-new minifigure!" (hopefully not a bait & switch like the Visual Dictionary's "limited edition" Zane Rebooted figure). It also should have a lot more content than the original Character Encyclopedia, since by the time this is released there will be nearly three times as many Ninjago figs available as there were in 2011–201. Some possibilities for the exclusive fig: Cop that´s chasing the ninja Any of the ninja with their regular people outfits Any of the ninja with their golden variations ( rebooted ) Jay, Kai, or Cole with their armor like lloyd or zane in the Battle for Ninjago City set A deepstone variation of Nya ( Black ) or any other variation of Nya as a ninja (ZX, DX, etc.) A ninja version of dareth Skales Jr. Quote

CM4Sci Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Reminder we're getting a CMF Ninjago series to go with the movie. I wonder what minifigs that'll include. Quote

NinjaJayNuva Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Reminder we're getting a CMF Ninjago series to go with the movie. I wonder what minifigs that'll include. Wait, is that real? Ninjago is really going to get a CMF series? Woohoo! I've got happy feet! Quote
bricksfan Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Possible List - Casual clothing Kai - Casual clothing Jay - Casual clothing Cole - Casual clothing Zane - Casual clothing Lloyd - Variation of Nya - First spinjitzu master - Young Wu - Young Garmadon - Ronin ( a samurai version from Shadow of Ronin) - Young Morro - Master Clouse - Chen ( waiter ) - Variation of Skylor - Pythor - Skales Jr. (Sorry, I just love him! ) This is just a possible list, about Master Clouse and other characters, it´s speculation. A lot could happen between now to 2017. All of the casual clothing ninja could use relaxed faces. Possible release date: Early 2017 ( Hope so ) Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Don't post guessing lists in here. Probably won't come out until 2017. Just talk about the Skybound sets. Edited November 9, 2015 by CM4Sci Quote
Aanchir Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Reminder we're getting a CMF Ninjago series to go with the movie. I wonder what minifigs that'll include. Do we have confirmation of that? If so, that's awesome! I've been hoping for one ever since the LEGO Movie series was confirmed, and I figured the Ninjago movie would be our best chance of that happening. I'd imagine that like the LEGO Movie series, it'd probably have unique versions of the main characters plus an assortment of minor or secondary characters. But it's so far off and we know so little about the movie that I see no point making more specific predictions. I think the exclusive fig in the new character encyclopedia will PROBABLY be one of the seven main characters (the six ninja and Sensei Wu). There are some recent DK guide books that include secondary characters, like the Legends of Chima Character Encyclopedia, but the vast majority focus on new variants of main characters. I'd love a fig of Nya in the costume she wore throughout "Rebooted", but that seems like a bit of a longshot considering that a) she's not really wearing that costume anymore in the show and b) plain clothes aren't as "edgy" as a ninja or samurai costume. bricksfan Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Please discuss this at http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=54898&hl=, as CM4Sci previously said, this is a discussion on skybound sets not minifigs. It was my mistake for posting the possible list. My bad. Quote

gamejutzu Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Yeah, you know, since around only 40 pages are added, couldn't you just show certain sellers your copy and get a discount? After all, it's just an expansion.. TLM's collectible figs had variations of characters that did and did not appear in the movie. Mostly stuff that wasn't in the movie for long. So casual clothes may be possible. Quote
NinjaJayNuva Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 So after a few days, I finally decided to post my thoughts on the Skybound sets, here they are : Cole's dragon: A fine looking dragon, it will be better if it's bigger, like all the other dragons and I hope Cole is a human in this set is only because it's preliminary. Ninja bike chase: Nya's bike looks really nice, but I don't really like Kai's, and Kai has too many bikes, I think he already has 3 before. The little pirate jet pack / flyer looks neat and is totally fine. Skyshark: Oh my god, I love this jet, it seems like we are getting those 2012 blades in orange! Just 1 thing, why do the pirates have a jet while all their other vehicles are steam punk... And don't really care about Lloyd's jet pack. Zeppelin Raid: A must buy set in my opinion, I simply just love how it looks, it looks just like a mini 2012 Destiny's bounty ( kinda looks like the version they get in episode 22, after Dr Julien fix it ) Tiger Widow Island: Love the temple design as always, also love the tropical style. And Wu finally get rid of his hat or whatever it's called ? Dogshank also looks very cool. Misfortune Keep: I got to admit that the misfortune keep is really ugly, it's the problem of the brownish color, and the wheels piece on the side. On the other hand,Lloyd's flyer looks so big, what is even that? Jay's elemental dragon: The best is left for the last. This set is literally the best set in this wave and the best dragon!.Really like how it use the hero factory jumper as the dragon's snort . The reason I love this set is because of it's unique wing design , I am really sick of the titanium dragon and master wu dragon's wings. Quote
Mandate Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 CMF series for NINJAGO? Eh, I got tired of CMF years ago. Speaking of collectibles, I can't wait for Dimensions and its over-priced NINJAGO "collectibles" to make a return next year. If you really think WB and LEGO won't milk Dimensions, think again. They will. Quote

Speaking of collectibles, I can't wait for Dimensions and its over-priced NINJAGO "collectibles" to make a return next year. If you really think WB and LEGO won't milk Dimensions, think again. They will. Oh, Lego's definitely going to continue making Dimensions sets... but from the rumored set list for next year, it doesn't look like Ninjago (or any other unlicensed theme) is going to be featured again for a while. Which is unfortunate—while it's true that they have basically covered all the main characters of Ninjago already, I had really hoped for Lego to continue providing a mix of licensed and original themes in Dimensions, instead of just licensed themes. Plus, a Ronin pack (with a mini R.E.X. that could be rebuilt into a mech) would be awesome, and the summer set list confirms that Ronin's not just going away completely after this wave. Quote
gamejutzu Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) the summer set list confirms that Ronin's not just going away completely after this wave. So, we can believe that? And Wu finally get rid of his hat or whatever it's called ? Sensei wears a straw hat. Just trying to help. Too bad I couldn't see the pictures. But I guess it can work this way so i'm not spoiled or anything. Edited November 10, 2015 by gamejutzu Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) At this point in time we have no reason not to. And also, it's a rice hat. Edited November 10, 2015 by LegendsOfNinjago Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Oh yeah, just realized that there's no Wu! Is he in the mini blimp with the aviator goggles? I can't tell is that's him... Yes, that's the new Wu. I personally would love to see some more of the original tan rice hats in this wave. I missed out on it, and now all I can find are the lame gold ones. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Not what I was expecting but I guess a lot of it is placeholder and he does wear the aviator goggles a lot in the series, so that choice does make sense. He looks more like a castaway to me, but maybe that's either placeholder or he gets captured... So it looks like TLG is sticking with its new design for Character Encyclopaedias with the banner in the center and 'Good Guys' on the tops and 'Bad Guys' on the bottom like the Star Wars one. Well, it IS preliminary, so it could change drastically... Quote
