benderisgreat Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 It's been pointed out before and that face makes the misfortune keep set necessary to get. He does not have it in his dragon set. Like cole, he has the unique face in the more expensive set while the cheaper set has the normal face. Also anyone notice that cole and kai always come in the cheapest set of the wave? First ever ninjago wave had cole and kai in sets under $10, 2012 was an exception, 2013 had kai in a $10 set, 2014 had cole in a $12 set, 2015 had cole and kai in sets under $10, an now cole in a $10 set. Just thought that was interesting. Jay never really comes in sets that are $12 or under. What about Possesion wave? Kai was in 50$ as a cheapest way to get him, while Cole was in 20$(as always cheapest set of wave). Also to add to your thoughts, Zane has recently became the most expensive ninja of them all(especially in possession wave). Kai is the most wanted figure. just look at ebay auctions. :) Very nice year, I really want Jay Dragon for new girl and zapelin for... zapelin! Seriously Kai is the most wanted minifigure? Wow, and I thought I was one of a few people who liked Kai as a character. Usually it's Lloyd who is the most wanted minifigure of the wave. Strangely enough while Kai is my favorite character, I don't like his new minifigure as much as I like new Lloyd. Quote

Airjitzu golden power Lloyd variant... would make a glorious exclusive for the upcoming character encyclopedia! Quote

Might be a cool idea, but Airjitsu flyers aren't even coming out in new wave, so it's safe to assume their sales failed, and Lego probably won't be making anymore of those any time soon. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Seriously Kai is the most wanted minifigure? At least for kids (mine include), I would say boys often love red, and fire, and energetic personnality... Edited November 14, 2015 by ChristopheQ Quote

bricksfan Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Maybe red and black plastic is less expensive to make, so they produce more of them, and so, to sell them well, they put them in cheaper sets Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Loving the printed 4x4 wedge on the juniors set; Gotta get one from somewhere. Really cool print. Bugger that moustache pirate's goggles aren't reddish brown as seen on the teaser poster, though. Quote

I think it's safe to say that these sets were designed long before the Airjitzu flyers were set to release. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Besides, maybe 70590 Airjitzu Temple Grounds has something. Quote
horizon Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I don't understand the positive fuzz. The sets look daft. All of them. :( Quote
benderisgreat Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I think it's safe to say that these sets were designed long before the Airjitzu flyers were set to release. Maybe so, but when you compare spinjitsu spinners and Airjitsu flyers , the spinners are obviously better playsets. Airjitsu was a great idea that really didn't work. Also spinners were being released for 2 straight years, any Airjitsu just seems to disappear from shops because people weren't buying them enough. So Airjitsu was kinda a failure as a playset. Make sense for Lego to not releas new ones next year. Quote
ChristopheQ Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 the spinners are obviously better playsets. hum...my son and I prefer Airjitsu (and speedorz) than spinners, find it more fun, more movements... But I guess with Airjitsu you get one or two and you got enough of them. It's more for the fun of making things fly. Not for the fights and collecting weapons etc... Quote
bricksfan Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 The reason to that was the minifigs. Sure, they came with exclusive Jay, Kai and Cole, but what could you use them for? The spinners were a very cheap way to get regular ninja oufits. The airjitzu ones came with ninja outfits that couldn´t be used for anything. Plus they only released SIX airjitzu flyers. They released over TWENTY spinners. See the difference? You could battle easily with the spinners, but not with the airjitzu flyers. You had to calculate when it would hit your friend in the air, I mean come on! Airjitzus were forcing you to go outside, and many LEGO fans don´t like going outside. The spinners could be played with inside where it is nice and cozy. This post could go on forever ranting about the airjitzu flyers. If there was airjitzu wave 2, the sets would be: -Ronin -Sensei Wu -Nya -Lloyd Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Did you guys notice that, they got rid of the serpentine in Misfortunes Keep. Quote
Exetrius Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Did you guys notice that, they got rid of the serpentine in Misfortunes Keep. He wasn't in the set description, only on the prelim, so it seems. And the serpentine in the juniors set is exclusive! Quote
Aethersprite Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 herre you go : http://www.pricevortex.com/#lego-ninjago That's an interesting list. Does this mean that Skybound is a year-long theme, and will continue into the summer? Quote
The_Fiery_Rooster Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Does anyone have US prices? Sure, I can predict using the other prices we have, but I want to know for sure what they cost. Quote
gamejutzu Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) That's an interesting list. Does this mean that Skybound is a year-long theme, and will continue into the summer? Doesn't seem like Skybound really. More like filler? I mean, why would Zane need a tumbler if it's sky-themed sets? Why is there Kryptarium prison as well then? Ninjago is having tons of stuff next year, but it doesn't seem like a continuation of Skybound. Maybe just a revisiting? By the way, is it really called the Sonic Radar? I thought it was the Sonic Raider. In the show, that's how they say it. Does anyone have US prices? Sure, I can predict using the other prices we have, but I want to know for sure what they cost. Just convert the euro prices to dollars. I think that's how it works. Edited November 15, 2015 by gamejutzu Quote
Actor Builder Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) On the subject of Airjitzu being popular or not, in my portion of the world they were popular. I bought two because heck, flying LEGO. It's fun. The guy at the ToysRUs cash register said "These things are flying off the shelves." Unfortunately, he didn't know it was a pun, and looked at me weird when I laughed. Oh well. Edited November 15, 2015 by Actor Builder Quote
gamejutzu Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) To be honest, I think it would be more popular if there was a way to make it slowly spin to the ground instead of crashing down. And, why weren't there translucent flyers? Morro's could have been trans-green. Edited November 15, 2015 by gamejutzu Quote
Mandate Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I mean, why would Zane need a tumbler if it's sky-themed sets? "Why would Batman need a Tumbler if he can fly?" Quote
gamejutzu Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Why would Batman need a Tumbler if he can fly? Batman isn't going to be crossing chunks of Ninjago floating in the sky. I'm seriously doubting Skybound is getting a 2nd wave. In fact I think it's good. Now they have the time to go back and give a few seasons the fans some nostalgia (SR 2.0) I can't believe I actually want there to be filler episodes! Never thought i'd ever say that! Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 That summer set list is sounding very interesting. It obviously has nothing to do with skybound. It's a whole new wave with maybe a new villain. Zane's tumbler will probably look like a tank vehicle, it sounds like a big set, yet it's the smallest set number. Does this mean a cheap way to get Zane? I think so! Quote
Mandate Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Batman isn't going to be crossing chunks of Ninjago floating in the sky. The Demon Trials from Arkham City say otherwise. I do agree with you though, I doubt that Skybound is getting a second wave. But it's still a possibility. Quote
