Y'know, a Lasha and spitta lookalike are pretty good, I guess, but I would have preferred the 2011 suits, with printing tweaks here and there. That would be so awesome... sigh.. Take that away and you've basically taken away the only facial feature that makes him remotely distinctive. One of the great things about the Ninjago characters is that even in full headwraps, you could still readily identify the characters by their eyes and eyebrows alone... at least before this. Now the subtle chip in his brow and a subtle difference in his smirk (the latter of which is imperceptible when he has a scarf or headwrap) are the only real ways his face differs from Lloyd's... Of course it would be annoying if he turned evil again but maybe that's why he doesn't have a mask (like how Jay has the eyepatch but no mask). Again might just be me. Quote

Ikr?? That's what I kept saying! If they were going to do that, the only way do do it GOOD is to actually make his face identical to the show's. That one definitely isn't generic. If that fig looked like this I might actually be interested in the face. The fig's eyebrows are wrong, and there's way too much ink thickness. Aanchir Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Personally, I feel like the face on the figure is a very good likeness for his face from the show. Not entirely the same expression as that screencap (his eyebrows are lowered for a bit more of a determined look), but otherwise I don't think the differences are very great at all. On the whole, I'm not bothered by the change in his face much at all. However, I agree that giving him a scar in the show would have made more sense in terms of keeping continuity within both the show and the sets — it's easier to come up with a reason for a character to get a scar than a reason for a scar to go away. But on the other hand... this doesn't stop them from giving him a scar in the show in the future. What it does do is give us a non-scarred version that we can potentially use on our earlier Kai figures if we want them to be more show-accurate. While for those who prefer the scarred face, that one is still incredibly common and might even still continue to be used in sets. Quote

I've never watched the show, or read up on any of the fiction. I've got the main cast, and I even picked up a Dareth polybag. I never would have bought any of that stuff if a friend of mine hadn't gotten me this set. I buy half the Ninjago stuff I buy for the builds, and the other half for the inventive minifig designs and prints. I never would have got into any of it if it hadn't been for Kai's wicked scar. No, they are not. They use the suits from Rebooted (2014) and masks from 2012 and 2013. And I guess that the faces are the same too. Quote

If it is Lasha, then it's an entirely new version of Lasha (and thus, still an exclusive fig). It has both a different facial expression (mouth fully opened and tongue to the side rather than mouth half-opened and tongue centered) and a different outfit (no poison bottles, and dark orange right sleeve and harness printing on the torso) than the 2012 version. And he has NO scar. Sad, really. In other things.. Who wants a kabuki Nya?? Why you ask? Because the Kabuki outfit actually bears extreme similarities to Nya's regular outfit, if you look very closely. It's just that the colors are switched, and some nice designs are on it.
