gamejutzu Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Frakjaw is a play on "fracture" (the complete breaking of an object, often times a bone) and jaw (he talks a lot). This also could be a play on a potential head injury, a fractured jaw. Where is it said Frakjaw talks a lot? And just because he talks a lot doesn't mean that "jaw" refers to that. the form of humans (something that the Ninjago ghost would love to be). What are you implying? She's the lady of the Pirates so... Maybe not. There could be generic female pirates with the common thug pirates, like the generic cultists and the generic ghosts. PenPlays Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Maybe it's cuz he said "Frak!" cuz... he's dead. I'd give you an internet, but I'm all out right now. Had not thought of that! A little Chrono Trigger makes everything better Also, "morro" is Portuguese for "I die" (and also a hill, but never mind that...) Any Video game reference in a Lego set makes everything better (Hurricane Heist, I'm lookin' at you) It's funny, that means that the set would be the I Die Dragon. At least it makes sense thematically. Where is it said Frakjaw talks a lot? And just because he talks a lot doesn't mean that "jaw" refers to that. If you ever wanted to know some deep details on each of the Skullkin, get this book. Even though some of its jokes are childish, it's a good read. What are you implying? Yokai (Japanese folklore creatures) disguise themselves as people in order to trick actual people. Yokai (the Ninjago character) wishes to be a human so that he can swim. Maybe not. There could be generic female pirates with the common thug pirates, like the generic cultists and the generic ghosts. In the sets, Cyren is the only evidently female Pirate. Keep in mind that even though, in the show, the cultists and ghosts were generic/ambiguous in gender, every single cultist and ghost in the sets had a name, and was designed to look male or female (Bansha being the only one out of both factions). gamejutzu Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) Any Video game reference in a Lego set makes everything better (Hurricane Heist, I'm lookin' at you) Metal Gear? That's the only reference I've got. Yokai disguise themselves as people in order to trick actual people. Yokai (the Ninjago character) wishes to be a human so that he can swim. Ohh, right. I thought you were implying he was a Lego person. In the sets, Cyren is the only evidently female Pirate. Keep in mind that even though, in the show, the cultists and ghosts were generic/ambiguous in gender, every single cultist and ghost in the sets had a name, and was designed to look male or female (Bansha being the only one out of both factions). True (I didn't see any female cultists except Skylor), but the ghosts can be debatable. The cultits were an organization, while the ghosts are practically a species. There's hunderds of ghosts. There seems to be a bunch of unique pirates as well, meaning the generic pirate won't be like them, new models would have to be made. They could be female, *shrug*. If you ever wanted to know some deep details on each of the Skullkin, get this book. Even though some of its jokes are childish, it's a good read. Oh, that one. I thought you read that of a ancient character description or something. Edited December 5, 2015 by gamejutzu Quote

PenPlays Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Metal Gear? That's the only reference I've got. Exo Force. Video game reference, and yes, it was that subtle Metal Gear reference. I was referring to the sets, as this is the set discussion (and it's good to keep said discussions in their respective spots). I was making the point that although there might end up being more female pirates in the show, there is only one (depending on if there's an exclusive this Spring, or Summer sets to look forward to) in set form, being Cyren. Wonder if the non-scarred one will remain exclusive. Quote

Cagast Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Video game reference, and yes, it was that subtle Metal Gear reference. I don't think so. Well, you can say that any green military mech is a "subtle MG reference" then. Quote
obsidianheart Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I don't think so. Well, you can say that any green military mech is a "subtle MG reference" then. I think they mean the Codec screen on the cockpit. Which was far from subtle. Quote
PenPlays Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) I don't think so. Well, you can say that any green military mech is a "subtle MG reference" then. The windshield features a comlink channel similar in the style of MG. The fact that it's a camo-green mech influenced that, I'm sure, but the reference is not about the robot itself. It's similar to having Sentai Moutnain in the GPS on the side of the Nindroid Mechdragon. Are these figs the poly ones? Not sure. Wu isn't (as far as we know). Is that smirk of his new? I never actually saw that screen before and I got it mixed up with a similar screen that showed Exo Force reference in a Ninjago set. It's a Metal Gear reference indeed. LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) please keep in mind that this is a first draft and to me it reads kinda like a dream sequence. Also note the lightning nun chucks, it could be "in medias res", and the rest of the episode or episodes could lead up to this point and Samukia could somehow be part of a wish turned nightmare. source: https://twitter.com/...169796905631744 Edit: this should also be in story not here.
