glad that they finally make Cole the lead

LOL! :head_back: I guess you could say, he's the leader? :laugh_hard:

Villain Breakdown

Knew it, That was literally the only other thing it could be. The prison and watchtower just add to that.

Hey guys, I saw the preliminary catalogue and it seems summer wave is themed... Villain Breakdown! All well known villains are attacking (Samukai, Chen, Pythor, Cryptor...) A new ghost "sensei" appears! The theme is foccusing on... Cole who looks like unlocks his another potential? There was no Ronin Rex Mech... (Maybe it's store exclusive?) That's all I have! Pictures were not finished, so there was no minifigs shown on the boxes!

Can you try to describe sonic raider 2.0 ? Does it looks like the original ultra sonic raider back from 2012?

If none of the minifigs are shown on the boxes how do you know that Samukai, Chen, Pythor, and Cryptor are in them?

Prelim catalogs usually have out of box images on the top half of the page and small images of the boxes on the bottom.

Maybe the top of the page explained the theme?

Also, YAS MA BOI CRYPT BI HAKIN TEH KRYPT, HE LIVS

And also, I guess Cryptor coming back can be explained, but what's Samukai and Chen's excuses? Don't get me wrong i'm all for a Samukai figure, but Chen died in the cursed realm.

Also also, YES! We get variants of Cryptor (silver maybe? White robe?), Samukai (black?), Chen (ghost?) and most likely regular pythor, maybe with hooded costume.

I don't reallly like all the white on the zeppeline.

Still a really cool wave!

Are they all ghosts? I mean, Cryptor probably couldn't be one, but I dunno for Ninjago physics. Transparent-laced variants would make for a nifty wave.

Looking at the new pictures, I'm really impressed with Jay's dragon! I do hope the legs attach to the body via ball joints and not click hinges, else we'd have the whole Master Wu Dragon fiasco all over again.

If this is true, I'm gonna die. The set names and these mini descriptions sound amazing! I'm all for a villains comeback. This would be the best ninjago season for me, especially if they include some elemental masters too!

Has anyone ever thought that maybe this wave in the summer is the last wave ever....yeah sure we have the movie sets but all these sets seem to wrap everything up. All the villains, did every ninja on the from cover of the box, alot of sets are remakes of past ones or past events in the show. This could be the final wave

Eh, perhaps they'll skip a year for TV sets (2017) and return in 2018 if the movie does well to regular sets. But I still think we'll get some TV stuff from the first half of 2017.

No, I don't think they will end the series with Cole. They might end it with either Kai or Lloyd, and they may even introduce a grand villain to end it.

Maybe in the summer wave Nadakhan Resurrects all the villains because the Sky pirates fail, also will it be main villains like, Morro, Chen, Cryptor, Pythor, Samukai, Kozu, Overlord and maybe even Garmadon.

Are they all ghosts?

I didn't say that. Chen is most likely a ghost though, how can he be alive and still be human?

Here's what I was thinking for variants:

Cryptor: Transparent clear with techno stuff being visible, or white ninja suit with purple highlights (mirroring Zane). Chain technoblade.

Samukai: Black.

Chen: Transparent green ghost with gold and dark red highlights.

Pythor: Hooded variant, with black and red bow.

Also, there are 4 villains. Could each conflict with a ninja?

Damn, i just revisited the Prelims for the january wave, and the final Jay's Elemental Dragon looks so much worse than the prelim.

The colorscheme is all over the place, and especially the prelim brickbuild head looked much better imho.

Villain team-up series? This has the potential to be either the greatest wave/season we've ever gotten, or the epic conclusion that screws up everything. Samukai, Chen, Morro, Pythor... yeah, things aren't looking good already for this series if they're bringing back dead people and changing villain statuses, yet not bringing back good 'ol Garmy or the Overlord. I don't mean to be rude, but is Lordofdragonss known for leaking things in the past?

I don't know. That doesn't sound very refreshing. I think that the summer sets will be a continuitation of the pirate wave, because we know from the TV show script that most likely, plot of the new season revolves around dreams and illusions (od ninja's enemies). So if Lordofdragonss' rumor is true, I think the reason why old enemies appear in sets is because ninjas will be trapped in some kind of dream world. But if they bring them back from dead, that would seriously screw up the plot as Mandate said. I don't really care though, because I don't care about the TV show much. I would really love to see new designs of old enemies, especially Cryptor, who is one of my favorite minifigures.

is Lordofdragonss known for leaking things in the past?

I want to know this too, but I would trust. He is a more known EB user and seems more legit than, for example, Nekchir.

The Venomari are unique in the Jr.'s sets. Surprised to say the least!

There is a Venomari in the zeppelin set. Not sure what you mean?

Having now seen the official set photos, to me the best sets of the wave are Tiger Widow Island and Raid Zeppelin. TWI looks to be priced very well with a lot of "stuff" in the set making it a good value. The Zeppelin has a great design, kind of like a miniature DB.

Not sure about Misfortune's Keep. I wish it looked a bit more technological and a little less "scrapyard". Looks to have a lot of content and features though, so need to see a review before I make my mind up.

Jai's dragon looks...small. Smaller than Wu's dragon and perhaps quite a bit smaller. Which isn't a bad thing for me.

The small sets look...not so good this time around. Although Sky Shark could be the exception there.

Will be interesting to see when these sets start to show up on retailer shelves. I believe it's Jan 1 for the UK and R.O.W. is unknown at this point?
