parsom Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 So it is Airjitzu Battle Grounds, not Temple Grounds... Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 That is the first time I've ever seen 666 pieces in a set before. hahaha, I still want it. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Maybe the set comes with a Devil Minifigure Quote
Mandate Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Yikes! Sorry about that. That does make things confusing. I wonder why that is. Hey, you're not the one who misremembered the Hageman brothers' tweets Not sure if/what this is but.... https://www.instagra...-by=jay_gordon_ Well, this is something I never expected to happen. azog Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 BATTLE GROUNDS!?!?!?!? What would be in that? Would it be like a training arena? Maybe there bringing back the spinners or the flyers? It could be like the spinjitzu dojo set from 2011? Quote

gamejutzu Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 So, the elemental masters are just gonna be forgotten now, right? Because Shade and Ash are fan favorites... Shame too... I like the name Airjitzu Battle Grounds way better. Reminds me of Pokemon. Also, $60? Oh well, Zane's tumbler it is then. Unless I REALLY like the set. But I doubt it can match the original temple. PickleManDan Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) Hopefully it comes with Nya's Airjitzu flyer because she learns Airjitzu in season six. I also hope that Skylor will be in the set as well as her hair piece. Edited February 16, 2016 by PickleManDan Quote
PenPlays Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I'm expecting collapsing pillars, and Nadakhan, is the Airjitzu Battle Grounds is most likely based off of the final battle from Skybound. Quote
azog Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Final battle? Sorry I haven't seen the show yet Quote
makoy Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I'm expecting collapsing pillars, and Nadakhan, is the Airjitzu Battle Grounds is most likely based off of the final battle from Skybound. I'm thinking about the same thing but I hope it is not going to be just pillars, rocks and rubble. Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Honestly, I'm hardly surprised by the Battle Grounds. Temple grounds sounded like an extremely odd choice, as the Temple of Airjitzu seemed complete to me, and a $20 set would do practically nothing to the scene overall. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I'm expecting possibly the small shack where the replacement ninja hid inside of. Then some pillars and rocks probably. Quote

It's actually $60, but I'm not sure if even $60 could add much. Temple of Airjitsu is perfect by itself IMO... Quote
CapnDash Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) Just a heads up: The new Ninjago wave is starting to show up stateside. I went to the Wal*Mart near my office before work this morning. It's one of the older ones that isn't a 24-hour store, so they have to do their restocks during the early part of the day. Anyhoo, I saw a cart full of unopened Lego cases. A closer look at the label revealed them to be Jay's Elemental Dragon and the Raid Zepplin, as well as the Black Panther Chase Civil War set. All of them were plastered with "Do Not Open Before March 1st, 2016" stickers though, so it would stand to reason that they will not be able to ring up at the register right now. PenPlays Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) I'm expecting possibly the small shack where the replacement ninja hid inside of. Then some pillars and rocks probably. That small shack is the blacksmith shop from the Temple of Airjitzu set. Unless they really want to produce that little building in this set as well. I mean if the set is based off the scene where the Ninja fight Nadakhan, there is very little aside from minifigures (and that building) that can be done. Edited February 16, 2016 by Penkid11 Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I'm thinking Samurai X Cave Chaos will be a Toys"R"us exclusive, because if it were a D2C wouldn't we have seen it at the Toy fair and usually only Toy"R"us gets the $100 and up exclusives. As far as the Airjitzu Battle Grounds go, I don't think TLG will put those Airjitzu spinners in a set, because I don't think they sold very well, I could be wrong though and if they are added then the build will be like a $40 build. P.S.We do know that General Cryptor, Pythor and Kozu will be in one of these two sets. Quote
PenPlays Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 because if it were a D2C wouldn't we have seen it at the Toy fair Only the D2C sets that have already been officially revealed by LEGO would be there. So the Brick Bank, Firehouse Headquarter, the Classic Bat Cave and Assault on Hoth should be (and were) the only ones there. I'm thinking Samurai X Cave Chaos will be a Toys"R"us exclusive, ...and usually only Toy"R"us gets the $100 and up exclusives. It's true that they do tend to get larger exclusives when it comes to Summer wave exclusives, but only time will tell. As far as we know, the set might not be out of its final stages of production, and thus wasn't shown. As far as the Airjitzu Battle Grounds go, I don't think TLG will put those Airjitzu spinners in a set, because I don't think they sold very well, I could be wrong though and if they are added then the build will be like a $40 build. That's where the assumption of it being an add-on to the Temple came from. However, I'm pretty sure that the Airjitzu have been selling just as good as the Ultimates from Nexo Knights. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Urgh, Exo Force was ten years ago? I feel so old! For some odd reason, I am getting errors when trying to follow the links. But I will take your word for how they look. My poor bank balance... I still have plans for the Temple, let alone all these other exciting sets! Quote

gamejutzu Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) To be honest, I think it would be a very bad idea to base the Battle Grounds off the final battle from the new season. It would be so boring. The only things there were some pillars, the shack, and a chunk of the desert plain the temple resides. Actually... If they make buildable chunks of Ninjago, along with bridges connecting them (think, Enter The Serpent), along with a few floating mines, plus the shack for aesthetic, it would actually look very cool. But they won't do that, it's too accurate to the show... And we can't have that, now can we... It could likely be an arena where Sensei Yang could hold a gauntlet bracket fight... Maybe the airjitzu bases will be built into the ground, and to access it, you need to flip up a small hole in the ground... Then, by pulling the ripcord (which could be inserted into the sides of the base platform), you could kinda have a battle to see who flew higher. Figs could be a Yang with pants, and probably Cole. And again, this idea is too cool for LEGO to perceive... Edited February 17, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote
