Hey guys, Kmart has the Sky Bound sets Online http://www.kmart.com...ch=lego ninjago

Do NOT order them off of here! Kmart has done this to me many times before: they list a new set on their site, but when you order it, it has the same product number of the order set which shows it in stock. Then they send an older set! So you may be getting friggin' Possessed sets when you want Skybound sets. Take my warning.

THANK YOU! I was just about to order the whole wave. Thanks for the alert.

I'm actually doing service in Africa now but I have a stopover at Germany on my way back, fingers crossed the Skybound sets will be at the airport...

From BZPower

70590 Airjitzu Battle Grounds

666 pieces. Age 8+

$59.99 (USD) $74.99 (CAD)

Available in August

We weren't able to get pictures of this set or it wasn't on display.

70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos

1253 pieces. Age 9+

$119.99 (USD) $149.99 (CAD)

Available in August

We weren't able to get pictures of this set or it wasn't on display.

So, neither set is a small one which I guess is somewhat disappointing to me....70590 might contain several large pieces since the piece count is a bit small given the price point. I agree with other posters that 70596 is probably a "City of Stixx" type set and both are likely retail exclusives. Given the large number of building sets in this wave, I hope that at least one of these sets has a decent vehicle build component and that the vehicle is a villain one as those seem a bit under represented in this wave.

Any ideas as to when we might see pics of these sets...?

666 pieces isn't a particularly small piece count for a $60 set. As for when we'll see pics, it's a lot harder to predict when pics of store exclusive sets will show up than it is for pics of regular retail sets.

Reminder that the lucky numbers is 10 cents per piece/100 pieces for every $10.

This set beats that by nearly 66 pieces. (total's out at about 9 cents per piece, actually).

That depends on whether one or both of them are exclusives to begin with. Minifigures for at least one, if not both sets were shown at the Toy Fair, whereas any minifigures for the Nexo Knights exclusive sets were not.

Whichever one of these is the one that isn't an exclusive, expect something within the next couple months (neither of them release until August).

When it comes to exclusives, though, it's either through ad leaks, or website (of the exclusive retailer) caches that they usually show up in. That typically doesn't happen until about a month or so before the set releases.

Expect the worst

3 months

D'oh! Brain cramp. Was looking at the $CAD price of $74.99. Yeah, the piece count is actually quite good.

Looks like we got pics of City of Stiix in May last year, so....might be a while!

About the drawing: the same kid/guy gave us the first drawings of this wave's sets and if I recall correctly, they were accurate (in their vagueness) to at least some extent. Let's assume that this one is too.

What I can deduce from this drawing:

- The cave's rocks are Dark Tan.

- It has a huge red gate.

- Nya, Wu, Lloyd, Kozu, Yang, Cryptor and Pythor are included, plus Nya's Samurai X gear

- It has Nya's bike

- the playset has two levels

- a big computer screen is present

You really should get Jay's elemental dragon, it's epic!

Lol, you should know. (I'm still laughing at your anti-scum tactics)

Hmm, what was that other discussion website that features Ninjago and Bionicle? I haven't been there in a long time.

Does yang appear to have legs in this set?

Nope, looks like he has a pale ghost tail. But it honestly won't be too hard to give him regular black pants anyway.

I'd help if I could! :hmpf_bad:

Drawing really isn't that great, I'll need to see the set myself in order to get a better opinion.
