Zaael Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) Location: E03, Ertauq Tags: Land Vehicle, Engineer After the incidents on Jurin II and Lesser Drigo Big Z saw enough action out in the field. He was done with the "exploring" missions for now. Luckily Mr. Business assigned Z a new mission. One aboard the Axle, in peace! Well in a way. He was tasked with building a new battle mech to protect the exploration missions on Ertauq. This assignment was the best in weeks. Z started out building little things when he was young. He always looked in awe at the pictures his dad, an explorer, took home. The pictures about the flora and fauna, as the tree's and creature's are apparently called, never interested him. It where the pictures of the exploration vehicles and the alien structures. He could look at them for ages! His inspiration for today's mech came from one of the mechs his father took to a planet with an unspeakable name. Z had learned the engineer who build that mech was Devid VII. Z started out at the legs and worked his way up. Z: Hey Jones, what's up? Jones: Hey Z, uhm hehe, the boss asked when you are going to be finished with this mech you're building. He, uuuuh, wants me to try it out... Z: Haha, yeah right, the boss send you? I will be done in a few, come back later. Z: This is getting somewhere, now just this last part.... pfff these cannons are heavy! Jones: Wow Big Z!! That thing is awesome!! Haha, I feel like a real badass in this thing!! Z: Hehe, glad you like it Jones! C&C is welcome! And as said in the story, I got inspired by the mechs Devid VII build. Edited July 13, 2015 by Zaael Quote
Ferdinando Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I love the way you showed all the different steps of the mech construction! Also, this way our engineers will find copying your design easier Quote
LittleJohn Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Great little build! The SNOT floor works very well and I like how you showed the construction of the mech Quote
mrcp6d Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Pure awesome. Loooooove the toolbox and the mech depicted throughout its construction is just too cool. Quote
Blackhawk STX Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I love mechs, and you did a great job on this one! Like the lab, too! Quote
Garmadon Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Excellent little mech Z, the cannons especially are really cool! My only nitpick would be that the guy inside doesn't look like he has much space to move around at all! Great job nonetheless! Quote
NuckElBerg Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Nice one Z! I like how you've turned what could just have been a small (albeit really nice looking) mech build into a nice story! Great job! Quote
Big Sal Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Yeah, nice idea to show all the construction steps, and great job all round! Quote
Kai NRG Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Very nice build, I really like the interior and like Ferdinando and Big Sal said, showing it in various stages of construction is ingenious! Quote
mccoyed Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 This is totally what engineering builds should be all about! Love that you showed the construction process, as everyone else said! Quote
aeralure Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 The construction process was indeed a pleasure to see. The mech also turned out really nice. Quote
Zepher Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Awesome build, love seeing the mech come together and it looks highly functional! Very cool! Quote
