Posted July 13, 20159 yr Dear Journal, After a few weeks journey across the country, I have finally arrived at the Isle of Ivor which is home to the great library of St. Ablasterio. Here I hope to enlist the aid of the library monks to help me find find some documents which can potentially lead me to a great treasure I learned of as a youth. I will write more later, for I fear I am being followed... ~Zenas Abbington I'm really happy the way this one came out! :D Hope you guys like it! :) ~Bro Steven
July 13, 20159 yr That's a very nice scene under any light, but as shown it's simply beautiful. You've created a very realistic atmosphere considering the available lighting methods from that general time period. The architecture and various details are lovely. It definitely looks like a proper library and "feels" like one too. Good work!
July 14, 20159 yr Very nice creation! The lighting gives it a very cosy atmosphere. This is a fine showcase of how good the octagonal column piece can be, for example for this sort of wall texturing, it's a shame TLC haven't released it in bley :(
July 14, 20159 yr Excellent, not too big but not too small, not too much detail but not too little either, perfect and then nice lighting as icing on the cake.
July 14, 20159 yr ^I don't know what you mean, this scene has a ton of detail, I love it! Moreover, the photography is absolutely superb! Edited July 14, 20159 yr by Exetrius
July 14, 20159 yr Like everyone already said, lovely build with superb details! I love the guy peeking in from behind the curtains :D I’m fairly new here but think it’s the first time I see curtains in a build, well done!
July 14, 20159 yr ^I don't know what you mean, this scene has a ton of detail, I love it! Moreover, the photography is absolutely superb! Some people will cramp in a million greebles and objects for 'detail' this is a fine example of having excellent detail without overdoing it, so it looks very detailed but nothing unnecessary has been forced in just for the sake of it. Sorry if I'm not making sense as a non-native English speaker it can be difficult to put my thoughts to words. Edited July 14, 20159 yr by Isundir
July 14, 20159 yr As I said on Flickr, the lighting is beautiful. The minifigs, too, look good, as does the rest of the moc.
July 15, 20159 yr Just like everyone else is saying, great lighting! I love the MOC itself and the story as well!
July 16, 20159 yr Great little scene and the beautiful lighting! I also like your use of the brick profile parts as books, it works really nice.
