I placed two orders last night (the last 3 lots for my 10179, woo hoo!) and had no problem whatsoever. I can't say I didn't notice the change, as I did, but nothing bothered me about the update... And I have Asperger's so it should have!

Are the desigers of this new skin reading along over here?

I'd like explicit mention of the fact that a set has no inventory yet. When I look for a set in catalog that has no inventory, I spent some time looking around before I realized it just wasn't there.

For the rest, it's the same old, with some new designs. No real changes really. I do like the new logo. Much better font, more abstractized. The flat colors for the parrots are a good idea. I also like the green band with all the tabs.

There are some kinks with the new design, but I'm pretty happy with it. I was talking to ScootersBricks on reddit /r/lego about the new design, and he mentioned how he visited the Bricklink team, and they previewed a few upcoming features for Bricklink. Apparently, they're conceptualizing a new feature that would serve the same purpose as Brickficiency, but it doesn't require any other programs.

all sets, or just something new? In the catalogue, the number of parts is a hyperlink to the inventory. ie for 8421-1, click on the number in "Item Consists Of

1885 Parts" to get the inv.

I think for a lot of users, including myself, that use bricklink frequently, it won't take long to adjust but then again, I prefer the old site.

I too prefer the old site, here the colours just don't work together and clash slightly.

I'm glad they changed it. That site looked totally outdated.

Good point about the mobile version, it’s a pain to use since the site was created way before the smart phone era, I hope they improve that, that’s much more important than cosmetic changes, and I’m sure they will.

They are working on a genuine mobile version. I believe it's scheduled to roll out next year,

I was truly surprised how emotional people are about the color changes. Yes, I mean emotional - I have seen tears shed over this. Of course many users have not been there long enough to recall the various color changes that took place in the past. The original site was red, white and blue! Even when the dark green showed up it was just in the header and sidebar at first. The wide margins were white - much brighter than they are now.

Bricklink did have a light blue color picked for the margins, and they put up a preview. People howled how jarring the color was. I didn't agree - I thought it was a neutral shade of blue. The development team was puzzled, too - they didn't understand the uproar. Then someone on the team noticed they were all using Macs (I have a Mac, too). Someone dug out a PC and fired it up and the page was practically vibrating the blue was so bright. It was maybe something about the default screen calibration. They changed it to gray - and the site architect had the whole team work only on PCs for a week to get another perspective.

It looks nice.

But I'd like to see a 'sort sellers by country' option. :classic:

Will judge it next time I really need it. From a first look, I find some information not so easily accessible as before, but that may be just because I need to get used to it.

I didn't mind the old design, it was idiosyncratic and I tend to like stuff that's unusual, but I can see why it was in dire need of a reworking. It looked like it hadn't changed since 1999 or something.

it's an extra step, but if you put it in a wanted list and then use the "By Shop" option you can sort by "Shop Location"

I'd like the new skin.

Just placed an order, and i haven't find any problem with the new interface.

Maybe a little too bright, but nothing I can't get used to.

Ow, nice! Thank you.

My pleasure - it probably works best for those of us living in Australia - less trawling pages of the list looking for your country.

btw, for individual parts, use the extended "show more filters" option

ie, under the BUY option, search for the part. When you get the results screen, at top is sort by condition, number per page and sort by options. Just below this is a hyperlink called "Show more filters"

you can then specify "seller is Located In"

That's even faster!

I can't say that the new color scheme affected me much. It's plenty readable. My concerns were/are only over the changes in functionality.

I'm warming up to the changes on the catalog item information screen. I've found that the current color is carried over when adding to my wanted list, so no more reselcting the color there. This makes it quicker to add individual items from a set's inventory.

It's also a little faster to find the going price for an item, though I still have to select "seller in USA" every time and re-search for items for sale.

Yes.... you can make the search location permanent for wanted lists, but for some reason not catalog or other searches? It should just be one of you settings for searches that sticks.
