Voodoo Hand Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 (edited) Heya, first im new to these forums, HIYA! Okay, now is that finished back to topic :-P I'm usually busy lately with Classic Castle since there was no real Classic Pirate community, so far I made a lot of pirate stuff in legos, unfortunatly no pictures of most. But I made these in MLCAD and are on Brickshelf, so feel free to judge teh very first things i made in MLCAD. Brickshelf - Pirate folder I'm working still on my huge castle project... yes i mean huge... or rather mega, working on it for a year now and its long from finished. some things are on brickshelf already. ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 The landscaping is brilliant X-O Very awesome job *y*! Quote
zouave Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I'd love to see that first moc in real life. It's absolutely astounding. Quote
Capn Frank Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Great work Voodoo Hand! I noticed something different about your merchant ship and i couldn't quite put my finger on it... Then i realized that the ship's built on a standard hull, only sideways X-O I've never seen that done before. I saw four mocs in your pirate folder when i added the thumblinks (hopefully i didn't miss any ;-) ) I added your four MOCs to 3 of our indexes: The Merchant Fleet was placed Vigs and Diorama part of the Landbased MOC Index. The stranded pirates were placed in the Military Land Based MOC Index. The Merchant Ship was placed in the Ship Index. And the experimental method to make ships has been add to Accessory MOC index. (i'm wondering if you've ever built a ship with this form of construction?) I'd like to see more pics of your piratey creations ;-) Thanx for sharing. P Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 The landscaping is brilliant X-O Very awesome job *y*! I couldn't agree more!! Really, It's a great scenery with great little merchant ships. That stranded pirate island looks like it would fit in very well with a LEGO pirates line. Great MOCs Voodoo Hand, and welcome to EB! Governor Mister Phes Posted September 29, 2007 Governor Posted September 29, 2007 What a nice little set this would make - what do you call this one? Quote
Shadows Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'm browsing around your folders and am genuinely impressed by the detailed simplicity of your efforts. I see a lot of good ideas I fully intend to steal and use myself to make extras to fill in the gaps where LEGO never bothered to go. Excellent work, thanks for sharing! *y* Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 29, 2007 Governor Posted September 29, 2007 What a nice little set this would make - what do you call this one? On second thoughts it does look a bit "Knights Kingdomy" how the brown plate is place atop of the BURP. Quote
ZCerberus Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 This is an excellent first crack at MLCAD. I like the little merchant ship and the construction you used on it. Very nicely done!! Phes- I could see this as a small Lego Pirate set from the "Armada Era" of Lego® quite easily! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 29, 2007 Governor Posted September 29, 2007 Yes, I suppose it could be... But... I think I'd prefer the 1989-1993 era better. Although that's not really relevant to this MOC because it is a MOC and not an attempt at designing a set. Quote
