SearchFunction Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 I think this series of houses could be inspirational to the people of eurobricks as well. It consist of six houses in creator like style, featuring full interiors and special building techniques. Each house is built around the following guidelines: 1: A footprint no larger than 32 by 32 studs. 2: Buildable without a baseplate. 3: Features a bathroom, bedroom and a combined or separate entry, living room and kitchen. 4: Bathroom entry cannot be through the kitchen or living room. 5: All furniture is attached firmly if possible. 6: Roof is built mainly from plates and is removeable. 7: Stairs (if any) are 4 studs wide, including guardrail. #1: Afternoon Retreat #2: Scandinavian Townhouse #3: Rectangular Symmetry #4: House-N-Garage #5: Bachelors Abode #6: Normandie So if you feel you have difficulty building houses, let these give you some ideas. I have included LDD files for all of them. They range from around 800 - 2000 bricks so there should be something for most people. Quote
ilikeboomerang1 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Those are exactly what I meant by a Suburbs/Housing subtheme! You're the best! Thank you! Quote
Legocity2713 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 These are really nice. Great job my friend. Quote
Tonywing_64 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Amazing! Kept it simple and effective. I see a lot of MOCs that have WAY too much going on but these builds are perfect. Wow, this is a prime example of "less is more". It's like you created your own signature style and brand that is seen and familiar in all the models. Once again these are great! Thanks for sharing these. Quote
Kristel Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Nice! I can see these making for a great suburban layout. Quote

Still Raindrop Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 This is fantastic! I've been wanting to do something similar for a while now, but have always had a hard time with making the scale work--these will be a huge help and inspiration! Quote
SearchFunction Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 Lovely! But where are the LDD files? Right before the comments on MOCpages, where it says "Building instructions" Quote
coffeefund Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Brilliant work! And thanks for sharing the LDD files as well. Quote
robjoh Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Really good work with nice interior in all of the houses. Quote
Chilis Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I love them! A great addition to any Lego Cities ;) Quote
Heksu Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I like especially the interiors in your houses, for example the living room is great in number 6! Quote
Venunder Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Excellent set of suburban houses. I particularly like the Scandinavian and the Normandie. The recent creator houses have been particularly small because of TLG putting silly play features into the models. I mean, the city theme has plenty of vehicles already, so who needs a car in the creator theme buildings? Particularly one that just one minifig can sit in..... Quote
Lankygit Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Excellent! I have saved your tutorial page too. I think I might have a go at one of these this week. Thank you. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 These are lovely houses. I really like the simple designs, although I'm not a fan of all colours, like the yellow (I'd go for the Friends yellow much more). Thanks for sharing the LDD files, I'll have a look to find some inspiration. So, are you planning a layout with these designs? Quote

Availibility of bricks in specific colors, had a major influence on choice of all colors. Not planning on a layout no, I don´t quite have the space. Quote
