Dr. Long's vote was the decisive one, and now I'm finally able to continue my travels across Andromeda. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The board, however, decided that I should stay away from "active" sectors for a while, and sent me to Castral - a remote world on outer borders of Octan Corporation sector. I've never been this far "South" before. The task is to deliver some goods and equipment to Jebadiah Douglass, who is exploring Castral's flora and fauna for four weeks already. I certainly hope he'll be happy to receive these. And I am looking forward to taste these ducks he was so much talking about. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- End of transmission #09. The build: I've tried to do some SNOT rockwork this time. Not an easy task for me, but I'm satisfied with this first attempt. The hovercraft also included some SNOT tests, and now I will be including some of the ideas into challenge #2 build. Edited July 20, 2015 by WickNole Quote
Blackhawk STX Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Nice little ship! The thing is, a few more pics at different angles would help give a better feel for it. Good landscaping. The mushrooms in the foreground are a nice touch... Quote

Aliencat Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I think this is just a teaser pic, and there's more to sabotage follow. Quote

I think I am still not buying this vacuum cleaner you are offering. Maybe, if we agree on the lower price... And certainly need to return and fix these pumps on Hennigan II. shmails Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Nice work with the rocks, the more snot work you do, the easier it becomes, so keep at it! Quote
Aliencat Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Cool hovercraft, it's pretty sleak. I'm digging those jets! Quote
EpsilonEta Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Nice SNOT and a 45 deg angle too, thats advansed for a first try. Quote
Big Sal Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Amazing build, as usual It's funny how your first pic is always in black and white considering what a master of colour you are! Quote
Kai NRG Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Great landscape Wick, and good work on the vehicle too! I really like the yellow background as well... gotta get myself one of those! Quote
LittleJohn Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Stunning build! The landscape is superb and I really like that little ship Quote
pombe Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I'm glad Wick is back on the active duty roster from flexible time off (FTO)! Another great build with incredible photography and presentation! And if you didn't mention that this was your first attempt at SNOT, I would have never even guessed. It seems like you've been doing this for a long time. Quote
Garmadon Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Very nice build Wick, the hover vehicle is excellent - those jets are superb! - and the landscaping is great as well! My only nitpick would be that irregular borders generally look better with a couple of layers at the bottom (like Mark's here), but it doesn't look too bad as it is either And Jedadiah will definitely appreciated those supplies... especially if they include some way to get at those nasty ducks! or a way to get off this duck infested planet! goatman461 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 fantastic foliage as usual. I really like how you only used the red flowers on a portion of the small base when I would've instinctively covered as much as possible in them. You showed much more discipline and good sense than I would've. The rock work is also well done and i just noticed the NPU on the front engines. My only complaint would be the levers, but that's more of a personal dislike of those parts being overused as vehicle controls. Quote
mrcp6d Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 The articulated & fragile-looking hover-ers are fun and I all the flora gives this a nice atmosphere overall. I'll echo Garmadon's comment about the base needing another layer or two. Quote
