adding text to MLCad & LPub

I'm trying to make building instructions for my 24 leg strandbeest. I like to share it. I'm new at this. Just wanted to know how to add text (if possible) to my instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In LPub 4.0.0.11, the only way I've found to add text is to create an image with the text I want, and insert the image.

In the recent LPub3D fork/update, it looks like there might be a way to add some text, but I haven't tried it out yet. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=111940
