This set includes Marian, Wat O' the Crabstaff, and Prince John. Any feedback is much appreciated. TitusV Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 The minifigs are great, but for a idea, i think you should use a smaller baseplate, with the height of a normal plate. Are you planning on doing any other Robin Hood builds? Quote

As a personal MOC, I prefer the baseplate since it enhances playability, but if Lego were to ever make it they would want it smaller than that for sure. Captain Dee Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I agree that the baseplate may be a bit big for the setting, but otherwise this is one of those rare Ideas that looks like a set ready to sell. It has that look and feel of small official sets - nothing fancy, but good fun to play with. I suspect revival of a Forestmen-type theme would be a big hit. I'd buy! Nice job. Quote

I still may accessorize it some more for an update—let me know if you have any suggestions. I will probably just include a small baseplate for the tree and Marian, and then everyone could just stand on their own (like Lego leans toward more often now). For myself, I gotta have that baseplate, but I think it is less practical from a market perspective. I appreciate the compliments. I mainly had playability in mind, and would love to see a Robin Hood theme come to Lego. That way IMO Robin Hood fans could get some cool sets, and Forestmen of Dark Forest fans can add to their collection (or both). Edited July 27, 2015 by ootkaman Quote
