Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 ... I want your job :-D Quote
kaboom4 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 This is the best lego army I have ever seen! Fantastic work! *y* Mmmm..... a very rough estimation: $1300. You are one lucky person, my friend. Quote
Brickadier General Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Bonaparte, as someone who has been trying to build up an army myself, I am also very impressed at the size of your Napoleonic troops. The imperials aren't getting any cheaper after all. ;-) Have you added more soldiers to your army since you posted this? Quote
Tanotrooper Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 indeed, they aren't getting cheaper. But I stopped buying them myself as I have found more accurate ways of making French troops. a marvelous army indeed Mr. Bonaparte but I have some questions: -Only 2 men per cannon? Crews could sometimes have 16 men -The torso for the cuirassiers, there is a blue version of this torso, why then use the black version? TT Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 That is beyond incredible! WOW! I'm speechless. Where the hell did you get all of those men from? There are so many there it is difficult to comprehend. Wow! Regards, Captain Zuloo *wub* Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Great work! Great Work? that's all you can say? Hang your head in shame Captain! This is incredible! Quote
Kinzcove Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Your army is quite large. You should add more calvary men and artilary because of the battle of the Waterloo. P.S. I made a guilottiene out of lego's to celebrate Bastille Day even thought i'm not french. Wait do you live in Europe. Because I'm an american so sorry I have no euro's. I have a few but not alot. Sorry Quote
Fordo Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Bonaparte is from Belgium and he's stated that he'll soon be adding new pictures of his French army (Can't wait). Quote

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 4, 2008 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 4, 2008 I'm in the mood for bumping some old threads tonight No, serious, the reason I bumped this one is because I'm working on a decent band for my Napoleonic army. Two musicians for an entire army is not enough, so I'm targeting at least 8 or 10. Quote
Guss Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I don't remember seeing your army napoleon, that's Huge !!!!! and... [stupid joke] why do you need some more musicians with the speakers there is behind it ? XD [/stupid joke] can't wait to see your new musician troops ! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Seeing the state they were in last weekend, i'd say they are more in need of a medic and some decent food before marching off again! Quote
Zorro Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Seeing the state they were in last weekend, i'd say they are more in need of a medic and some decent food before marching off again! I'll be paying a visit shortly and I bring some food and medicin for the men, so maybe I can convince them to start a mutiny and to let me take them with me for some "healthcare" If I only would have known what they would cost now a few years ago... Nice army Bonaparte! Maybe if my army grows it can fight side by side with yours as Grouchy's corps (in Wavre, while yours is getting defeated in Waterloo). Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 4, 2008 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 4, 2008 Yes, currently the army is stored in some plastic boxes. Space is an issue for the moment, but I'm working on that Quote
Eased Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I don't mean to be nosy or anything, but how much did that whole army cost ? Well of course including their food suply! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Fancy that!!! I truely love the cuirassiers, standing in a row shoulder to shoulder which makes them very impressive! I also like the huuuge ammount of infantry. I thought I was doing nice with my army. , which is French too so I don't have to be scared. You should add some detail to your cannons, maybe some sticks onto it so it can be carried around with a horse? - Just an idea, although I don't even see how you can improve this Grande Armée. Quote
isaacbrockthebuilder Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 This is A huge army. they could conquer lego land Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Cheap shako's don't exist anymore. Today normal prices are $5 :'-( I think that everybody agree with that... but it is not possible that we do an action and with that money we go to a company and let them create a "shako-mal" (sorry don't know the correct word for 'matrijs'). Simply thought, would not know if this is feasable. I just used my cheap HP printer. The decal is available in the torso lib. Has somebody already used a airbrush (buy a blue or red soldier torso, us masking tape and spray) ??? Or is this killing lego... You are right. I should expand the band a bit. Add some different instruments maybe. I'll look into that. Would be great. Grtz, kurt Quote

Simply thought, would not know if this is feasable. The problem is that: - LEGO is the owner of the design - a form costs some thousend EUR But the new shakos should be available soon, isn't that an oportunity. I also had the design already available for 3d print but I didn't test it for copyright reasons and availablilty of the new pirate series. In princible it's also possible to use my french shako as basic and make an shako which comes very nearby. If that's wanted I can make a test version ... Zorro Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Looks very good, Woody64, just like all the rest of your helmets and hats, what do you think it will approximatly cost? Quote
Zepher Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 This is very nice work Bonaparte. Now just put it in a battle and you'll be set :D Really, a battle with this many troops would be incredible! Quote
