rollermonkey Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) http://www.wmur.com/...tent Type=Video Just got shared this on Facebook. A prosthetic arm, that kids can customize with LEGO, to be whatever they want. Digger, spaceship, whatever. Edited July 19, 2015 by rollermonkey Quote
Tariq j Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Sweet! It just goes to show how far technology and Lego have evolved to the point wear it can become physically part of a person. Thanks for sharing. Quote
-zenn Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Awesome! Sorta reminds me The Borg though, did you see the look on that kid's face when he had that claw... Quote
Trance89 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 (edited) I just came across this awesome video. It's about a Lego prosthesis invented by Columbian designer 'Carlos Arturo Torres,' during his internship at Lego future lab (Research & Development department). It's designed for children between 3 and 12 years. Source Edited July 28, 2015 by Trance89 Quote
-zenn Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 (edited) I've seen this a couple of weeks ago, don't know if it's a repost, but anyway love the use of Lego for a prothesis! Very innovative. *edit, found it; http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112194&hl=prosthetic Edited July 28, 2015 by -zenn Quote
MGCJerry Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 These are great. Amazing how far Lego has come and what people can do with them. I've always told family if something happens to me, I'll just build a Lego replacement. But with the price of Lego vs actual prosthetic, there will probably be the same price. :p Quote
