CollinsLegoTechnicDen Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 That was exactly my thought. In this modern day and age, it is very difficult to remain neutral and yet rely on known brands. The simplest example I can think of is the Octan brand that TLG came up with so as not to support any oil companies out there who have always had a love/hate relationship with the public at large. Tough to strike a neutral balance when at the same time you want a recognizable brand, yet a reputable high ethics corporation. I have not seen any Lego set depicting Coca Cola ... is that because of South Africa ? There was a time where people were urged to boycott CocaCola because of their apparent support of apartheid ... see, this could drag on and on. No your about right there but TLG has done stuff with coca cola before with set 4071 the studios set and they did something with Lego harry potter back in the day too I just cant remember what ( but this was all many years ago and I would imagine TLG would avoid anything that might spike controversy ) . On a less political note ;P is there any confirmation or really solid evidence for the Porsche being Fully RC ? Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Here's 47 pages of not having confirmation: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=120399 Nearly fell off my sofa when I read this. I think it's a real shame the Airport Rescue Vehicle got cancelled. I didn't see anything wrong with it, and it would have been great to have the mudguard parts in white. Quote
roppie11 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 yeah but TLG knows a lot that we don't know and maybe it is not such a shame as it looks to you right now. we don't know what is/was wrong with it. Quote

True. Just because it looked okay, doesn't mean it wasn't ready for release. You're right, LEGO have all the answers on that one. You can't help but wonder, though. Quote

JDL1967 Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 August. The release date, is that worldwide? Or will the TLG release the sets on differend dates in differend parts in the world? Quote
itstechnical Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 it's said to be august first for the 42056. I don't know about the other sets, but it's august first for the 42056 Quote

Emmi Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 "Coming in 911 hours..." 911 hours=38 days=1st of june. Yeah, that's if you buy it at a LEGO Store or at S@H ... for the rest (Toys R Us, ...) it will become available August 1. Too bad S@H offers such few payment options ... you are lost if you don't have a credit card Can't wait for the June store calendar, we should see the full Porsche on it. Quote
