... wait wait, what is this on top right corner??? The next #TechnicUltimate car for 2017?

(...)

would TLG really be that stupid?? i don't believe that the 2017-car is accidentally on the background of a picture.

I intend to buy the Porsche on the day one. And i was wondering what is the best way to buy it?

Probably not an easy question to answer, it depends how TLG control/release the stock and where you live. I'm in the UK, for the 1H technic sets they we first available on Amazon DE, then S@H then Amazon UK and other retailers. I'm guessing as this is a biggy it might be S@H only initially but someone else may have some inside knowledge!

It's already been said it will be only from S@H, Lego brand stores, and a few select retailers in Germany June 1st, everywhere else August 1st.

I thought the statement said June 1st availability from S@H online only and Lego stores in Germany and Austria.

Although the official price for the Arocs if 199.99 EUR, now and then on eBay appear offers at 160 EUR. I'm hoping the same decrease of 40 EUR also happen for 42055 :D

According to Zusammengebaut, the prices are confirmed

42053 - 90EUR

42054 - 150EUR

42055 - 230EUR

Release date, August 1

Not bad

Are these 3 2H models available in the USA about same time (Aug 1)? I know usually they are, but thought I'd ask anyway as most have been about July-Aug timeframe each summer here. I'm drooling over this year's offerings, probably the best ever. Can't even imagine what the cost of the Bucket Wheel Conveyor system will be...

It shows Jun 1 on the USA S@H site. Bet it sells out in the first day, and it will be a challenge for the factories to keep up with demand. Beautiful car. Love the orange color, too many red supercars, kinda sick of all red.

isn't there supposed to be a VIP early pre order type thing on the 17th may, could it be this?

1-It will be the 1st of the month in between July and September and 2-I doubt a $350 CAN set will sell out first day.

Just shows that liecensing is quite expensive (I'm Canadian and LEGO technic prices - even used, is too high).

I know, I'm in the same boat (and country) as you.

I know I'm a bit off topic, but...

I'm getting the 24 Hours race car from bricklink as a parts pack for my meager technic collection, but till then I'm going to try to make a tractor MOC, with PTO, and some attachments.

That is one thing I've never liked about S@H is no pre-order option like other sites such as Amazon, TRU. If this is the case, it would be real nice to be in line instead of trying to get a hold of Cust Svc that morning it releases. I wonder but doubt it will be sold in TRU stores, thereby avoiding shipping.

Yeah, I realize at that price, normally it wouldn't be a sellout, but I am thinking, at least in the US and Canada, we won't have as many here as in Europe where the product is produced, and from looking at quite a few websites, that is the 1 set every Technic car enthusiast wants. $300 is pretty steep, but considering it has nearly as many parts as last year's Unimog is astounding.

On a side note, the bucket conveyor system is immense as well, 3900+ pcs. I can't even imagine the price tag on that one.

You mean Mercedes Arocs?

I still think, in my opinion, the Class tractor is the king of 2016 2H technic sets!

Can't wait to buy it!

I agree. I don't plan on buying the BWE, and I'm on the fence when it comes to the Porsch and Volvo. I really like the Class though.

Working on a limited budget will favor sets with function over fashion, so I'd rather go with the BWE over the Porsche, Volvo may be nice for the pneumatics, depending on the outcome of reviews.
