Ngoc Nguyen Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 But then the Claas is also a licensed set. It doesn't make sense for Lego to make a licensed set at small scale. The model will not be able to fully reflect the details of the real vehicle. I've taken a look at the real Claas and it seems to have much to offer. Not motorized functions though, but aesthetic details like the green engine & white exhaust in the Volvo. I think the bucket wheel excavator is going to be that set. That model needs a bucket wheel. If it is a large size model I think Lego will have to make a new mold for a bucket wheel, which sounds unlikely. So they can make it a small set, and use small scale parts to make the wheel. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 You got also this Lego Racers small licensed cars like small Ferrari or Porsche... They are licensed, small and cost not so much... Max... Quote
Kaanere Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 The Claas seems the best model to be 50€. It could be small with an atachment or two. Then 120€ the Volvo and 200 the BuWeEX. Bot again, set numbers don't sugest so. By those, the Volvo is the 50€, the Claas the 90€ (like the custom pick-up) and the BuWeEx the 200€ one. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I hope not, a bucketwheel excavator is not my cup of tea. Hope the Claas will be big, in the scale of 8284, would be so cool. Quote
LegoCube Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Those are Brickklink prices, they probably cost 1€ to produce. ;) Actually, I bought mine from Lego Shop, Bricks & Pieces at about 10 euros each. Sure the price would probably go down once production increases. Quote
Emmi Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 300 € flagship set - and it will be a supercar, I couldn't be more excited :) I don't mind more expensive Technic sets if they become more complex and even bigger as they are now. 3000+ parts, no problem, I like it! Shouldn't be too long now until we see pictures of 1H 2016 sets, maybe next week already? Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I'm thinking about side lights that will actually flash when the car steer, and at least two gear modes with an automatic mode switching stick like that in 8043. Quote

Bot again, set numbers don't sugest so. Im thinking same as you.Class in 50€, then volvo with working pneumatics and BuWeEx in 220 € price point that hit about 3000 piece range but only motorized similar as this year crawler crane. After this will be ultimate ip car that will be fully RC and have about 2300 pieces or less depending on license because I dont think license in this case will be friendly if this will be some well known supercar. Jockos Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I got the same idea. How can be the ultimate car the H2 flagship, if it as lower piece count? It MUST be at least 3100. Quote
Ondra Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 Well I said, that Im expecting ultimate ip car fully motorized. And motorized sets are very pricey.Volvo price is 220€ with 1600 pieces, so I think ultimate ip car will have same electronics as volvo plus few hundred pieces more. There is already arocs with 2800 pieces and price is "only" 200€. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 The Arocs with 2800 pieces already take up about 80% of the flagship box. Considering the sizes of motors (4 at least), receivers, controller, a 3100-piece RC set may even requires a larger box! Quote
GoldVillage Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I got the same idea. How can be the ultimate car the H2 flagship, if it as lower piece count? It MUST be at least 3100. First we dont have a clue how big the other sets will be, and the ultimate car can have "only" 2000 pieces and still be the flagship, because whats stands out and cost alot is when its RC, and this time maybe we will have some new electronic stuffs (like a esc) but still i doubt it will be as expensive as 300... Jockos Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Piece counts likely to come next week, don't they? When we got know the specific information last year? Quote
allanp Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 This time last year the first leaked pics were coming out. Quote

Ondra Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 Last year first official photos appear thanks to Just2Good 1st October. So if this will be same this year its not too far.. Quote
Emmi Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Preliminary images will leak within next 5 days, I'm pretty confident. However I hope that the miracle from the 24hour race car doesn't happen again - great preliminary model, final set disappointment. Quote
Jockos Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I think it's gonna happen. Like every previous year. Quote

However I hope that the miracle from the 24hour race car doesn't happen again - great preliminary model, final set disappointment. Looking back at the prelim model now, it had its flaws as well, the wheel arches were waaaaaay too high etc.. And with some spare parts and time, modifying the final version is fairly doable, with some extra liftarms and couplings you can correct the nose and make the back fin, at which point it already looks better then the prelim Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) If the rumors are true, this is going to be a great year for Technic! Just some thoughts I have: -If it is a tandem rotor helicopter like the Chinook, then I doubt we will see realistic cyclic and collective control, especially at this price point. For forward/reverse flight, the Chinook uses varying amounts of collective between the forward and aft rotors, which is controlled by the cyclic. There is also a collective lever that controls the collective in both rotors in unison. To achieve all this movement, TLG would have to create a control mixer, which I don't see them doing. Then there is also rudder pedals to control left/right movement of the rear swash plate, and left/right movement of the cyclic to control front swash plate. That all being said, I'm s sucker for airplanes and helicopters, so I'll probably buy it. -The Volvo Wheeled Excavator sounds fantastic, and it could be a worthy successor to 8455. -The Xerion sounds great as well, although I'm curious to see if it will be RC. IMHO, the only way to create a practical tractor and attachments is to use pneumatics. The cycle seems to introduce an RC set every two years, but I don't see that being the case with the tractor, so perhaps the IP car will be RC instead. -A car with a price point of 300 doesn't sound too appealing to me, but I hope I'm wrong. Just my $.02. Edited September 13, 2015 by dhc6twinotter Quote

Cwetqo say it is coaxial helicopter on some kind of stand, maybe similar to 8485 so there is possibility that it is really interesting set. If I got it correctly, helicopter could be on stand, similar like the one in control center set, which could mean that its main function would be tilting, lifting etc... of its main body. But this is just my speculation, stand could be just static piece, like on ucs models. Quote
Freekysch Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 If all the rumors are true the only set that is a must have for me is the Volvo excavator. The super car at 300 euro is simply to much for me, I do not know how cool it should be to worth that kind of money. Can't wait to see some preliminary images tho. Quote
