If all the rumors are true the only set that is a must have for me is the Volvo excavator. The super car at 300 euro is simply to much for me, I do not know how cool it should be to worth that kind of money. Can't wait to see some preliminary images tho.

We don't know anithing from the Volvo besides its name, it's all speculation.

So we know the 'rumored' set names and piece counts but the prices are not assigned? All I would want from a supercar is a nice gearbox which we've been missing for a long time, and hopefully some interesting new drive drivetrain/suspension parts. Without RC, it could be second in price with those number of pieces, but with RC, it could easily jump to first. And what's with knowing both 1h and 2h sets? Isn't the info usually split in time? Would this mean photos of both halves will be leaked similarly? I can only hope.

The gearbox in Lego supercar is absolutely just for watching... is not suitable for greater torque... From that reason it is a great pray that Lego comes with powerful RC Buggy motors which will be directly connected to wheels... We got enough gearboxes in Lego machines... BTW Nathanael made a good one with linkage system...

I agree that it's unlikely we'll see an RC car with a functional gearbox.. There's just no practical point to it.. Then it'd be better with a proportional RC system like the old one used in the RC Racers set.

However I can see the appeal of a proper supercar like in the old days, but with a realistic gearbox, realistic steering linkages, etc. In summary a lot of faithfully reproduced functions you'd find in a real car. Yeah yeah, "but what about play value" I hear you say.. If done right, it'd be a great set to learn about the mechanical concepts of a car. If it's ultimate, I'd expect to see some nice documentation and stuff relating to the real life counterpart on which it is based, with info, and comparisons of the actual functions etc.

This could very well be a great opportunity for Technic to really take things to the next level  . I hope we'll not see a 8070 in larger scale :sceptic:

Can be possible that ultimate ip car is Land Rover Defender? I mean there was succesful cuusoo submission, that seems to be too big for cuusoo set but revamped version in technic theme makes perfect sense to me with that price.

That would make sense, since it the iconic current Defender model will be retired soon. That might motivate Land Rover to participate in this cooperation. Even better, although the Defender submitted in Cuussoo would be very expensive, the fact that it got 10.000 votes could convince TLG product management that the potential market is big enough and that it would be worthwhile for TLG. If this all true, I have only one request: can it be green please?

EDIT: quote from the Land Rover website: "As UK production of the current Defender enters its final phase, Land Rover will use 2015 to celebrate its global automotive icon and look ahead to an all-new family of Defenders"

When? Tomorrow? Are you sure or is it just a speculation?

Last year September 15 was the day the preliminary images leaked - so fingers crossed.

Whoever is the one to see them, save them and please PM me with the images! Thanks!

Someone sent me this in a PM yesterday:

"For Technic, there are just pics of 1h sets. Others are just marked "technic 1", "Technic 2" etc..."

?

Could you maybe upload them, and link to the folder? That is allowed, and I'd like to see them.

From what I've read it seems like someone has seem them once or was told about them. I don't think they have pictures to share. If they did have them, and if they were allowed to share them, they would have. Don't ya just love this time of year! The anticipation! love it! I would like to see the pictures more though :classic:
