Need to see pictures now...

The internets is full of pretty pictures...

But seriously, just keep breathing, it hasn't even been confirmed that there are pictures out there. Just a bunch of dudes getting each other psyched.

I'm just sitting back here waiting for my sore-as-flak eyes to fix itself and waiting for the sudden Imgur pile.

We'll know it when we see it.

He's probably saying wow to something completely unrelated like, I dunno, he just ate an especially good sausage roll and just thought "wow, that's an especially good sausage roll. I mean, I just love sausage rolls. Sausage rolls is life. But I have never had such a tasty sausage roll. Oh how I love my sausage rolls. Well done greggs, you sweet and savoury bringer of sausage rolls". Or maybe he hasn't seen anything and he's just baiting you guys

Sausage rolls and subterfuge. I should've known!

I will actually find it very funny if nothing stated on the previous 20 pages of this topic would appear to be true. It is still very possible that it's a hoax, potentially to distract form the real developments.

Ok, so what if we all decide that unless we have real info or pictures, there will be no more posts on this thread. That way whenever we see that this forum has been updated we will know that we finally have some info/pics, yes? Ok, no more posts starting from.......now!

Bet this won't last long.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. New sets on fire off the hand of TLG. I watched technic-beams glitter in the dark near the Billund gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to go to sleep ..

You haven't slept for 4 days straight mate, chill

While I haven't actually seen pics I do have information from my various probe droids roaming the galaxy and I can tell you that you'll get a wee bit surprised and also somewhat dissapointed regarding the expensive sets, but all in due time. i've promised to keep my mouth shut this time

But as you have all noticed, leaks are far and few this year (across all themes)

There's a reason for that  so better get used to it :hmpf_bad:

Come on, somebody broke the silence already? Ah well, all we can do is be patient.

Edit: Actually, in addition to being patient, here's something to think about. I just noticed that NK's excellent Predator Supercar only has about 1800 pieces, which I don't think would correspond to a $330 dollar set. Indeed, 42030 has 1600 parts, but has the giant bucket, so a full RC version of the Predator would be about the same price. I'm thinking that, if the Ultimate IP Car really is a $330 set, it would be along the lines of one of Sheepo's smaller creations, with maybe around 2200 parts, and six PF motors. But, only time will tell if Lego is actually willing to do a full RC car.

Regarding chopper:

take rotors and tail from this:

http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=100897&hl=

mix it with fuselage and stand from this:

http://brickset.com/sets/8485-1/Control-Centre-II

and you got yourself 1H2016 flagship (120€ with PF)

regarding all picture-wanters: do not expect many pics. There are a lot of licensed sets planned for next year and there are no pics for those, so what we could hope for, are mostly smaller sets from 1H2016 (the biggest three being mine digger (40€), fire truck (80-90€) and Helicopter.

And, before you ask, no, I dont have any pics.

Thanks for the information. It helps during "the long wait"! I have lots of questions which may help us to the patient

Can you tell if the jet and hydroplane racer have any features?

Are the getaway racer and police intercepter vehicles just regular pull back sets?

How does the race cart look, what wheels does it use? Wheels tell us a lot about it's size and scale. Same for the mine loader and drag racer and rescue vehicle. Can you see Do you know their functions?

For the helicopter, do you know if the twin rotors have any cyclic/collective control? Can it move/raise/lower on it's stand like cc2 or is it a display stand? Is there a landing platform? Do you know what functions it has and which ones are motorised?

Do you know the scales and functions of any of the 2nd half sets? For example, 8070 could be considered 1:10 scale where as 8448 could be considered 1:8 due to the size of their wheels.

Poster 1974 said we will be surprised and disappointed and also that there is a reason why leaks are few this year, any idea what he's on about?

Finally, for all the sets, are there any sets in interesting colours like dark blue or dark (british racing) green? Any pneumatics or any new pieces?

You probably aren't allowed or do not have the info to answers many of these so no worries if you can't, but it's worth a shot me asking :classic: .

This makes me wonder, if you want to get anywhere near CCII functionality with PF, that'll mean quite a few motors (one for rotors, one for up/down at least, presuming purely mechanical linkages for "steering")

Id expect a relatively small chopper then, considering the stand/mechanism and PF stuff will eat up budget

And if i may ask a question, any info regaring the kart? Im having trouble picturing a Kart big enough to be a €28 set with only a single cylinder engine, this is probably my most anticipated set for H1 looking at the rumours so far.

120€ doesn't sound like too much for a flagship set. Any idea how much the piece count will be? Is PF included or optional?

This is regular price for 1H flaghship,Also Cwetqo say it will include PF.

Regarding the helicopter, if it has the same functionality as the CC2, one doesn't really need more than one motor.

I can imagine there will be a "control panel" with gearboxes similar to the one found in the 42042 Crawler Crane. Probably two gearboxes (one for pitch, one for roll (and if we're lucky, a third one for yaw)) with axles going from a motor/gearbox/batterybox assembly, through the stand and up to perform the mentioned functions. I can picture the rotor being hard coupled to the same motor, or possibly with a simple "on/off" gearbox.

Sound feasible?

Sounds feasible indeed, i was kind of going off the idea that the arm the heli is on would go up/down as well, and while it is off course possible to drive that from a motor/gearbox combo inside the chopper, it feels a bit unnatural, hence why i figured two motors.

Having the rotor assembly driven by the same motor as the rest of the functions might make for some odd behaviour though, rotors going whilst altering your pitch/yaw/roll, and then grinding to a halt as soon as you stop rotating the craft, it might also require a large amount of torque

Also, single motor with a big gearbox in the heli itself kind of invalidates the control panel concept, the panel would just be a battery box with the on/off switch, with all the actual control being done on the chopper itself, unless they go for a whole bunch of mechanical linkages through the arm (3-4 rotating axles?), doable on a static arm, but on moving one that would be hard to pull off.

yay speculation and such :)

The suggestions above remind me of this: Before affordable toy RC helicopters were available, there were toys with a small helicopter powered by a motor in a stationary base. The helicopter was light enough to fly and circle around the base. The height and forward speed of the helicopter was controllable at the base by varying the RPM of the motor and the angle of the helicopter. I loved the simplicity of it and I remember the Science Museum in London having a similar setup a decade ago which I really adored. Some examples:

I doubt a Lego version could be light enough to actually fly, but it's a nice source of inspiration to me.
